Emma Stone Just Wore a Bouquet of Real Roses in Her Hair

It might be fall, but Emma Stone brought a little bit of spring to the New York Film Festival premiere of her new movie The Favourite. And by that, we mean she wore an actual bouquet of roses in her hair.

The gorgeous look is courtesy of Mara Roszak, a partner-slash-owner of the Mare Salon in West Hollywood, California. “How fun is this? Fresh roses in hair!? #EmmaStone for the premiere of @thefavouritemovie,” Roszak posted to Instagram on Friday (September 28), alongside two photos of Stone’s red hair decked out with nearly a dozen bright red and yellow roses. Roszak opted to style Stone’s hair long and wavy so the roses almost look like they form a vine that cascades from the top of her head.

Take a look at it for yourself, below.:

And another shot from the back of Stone’s head. Beauty and the Beast is shaking.

The dreamily romantic look also showed up at New York Fashion Week’s Rodarte show this year, and Jennifer Lawrence also wore a batch of fresh flowers in her hair at the premiere of her movie Mother! last year. Perhaps Stone drew a little inspiration from her famous best friend—but whatever the case, it’s a stunning look.

Stone stars alongside Olivia Colman, Rachel Weisz, and Joe Alwyn (yep, Taylor Swift’s boyfriend) in The Favourite, which hits theaters everywhere on November 23.

Emma Stone, Meryl Streep, and Saoirse Ronan Might Star in a *Little Women* Remake

Greta Gerwig‘s reported next project is on track to be a big one. The writer, director, and actor made history last year when she became only the fifth woman to be nominated for an Academy Award for best director for Lady Bird. Now, she might be onto something just as amazing: Columbia Pictures’ remake of Little Women.

Gerwig first joined Columbia’s adaptation of Little Women in 2016 to do a rewrite of the script’s first draft, but Variety reports Sony was so impressed with Lady Bird, executives are trying to win Gerwig over to make Little Women . The company is reportedly even ramping up pre-production to compel her to take the lead on the film.

Several major actors are said to be in talks to join the cast, including Meryl Streep, Emma Stone, Saoirse Ronan, and Timothée Chalamet. If everything falls into place, this would mark a reunion for Ronan and Chalamet, who both starred in Gerwig’s Lady Bird.

If Gerwig takes on Little Women, it would be her second project as a solo director. (She co-directed a film with Joe Swanberg in 2008.) The novel by Louisa May Alcott, following four sisters in post-Civil War America, has been adapted a number of times, with the 1994 adaptation starring Winona Ryder receiving the most attention.

This is all the information we have so far about this remake, but it looks like it’s coming at a convenient time for all. Streep will most likely wrap work on season two of HBO’s Big Little Lies soon; Stone’s next big role in The Favourite will hit theaters in November; Ronan recently finished production in Mary Queen of Scots; and Chalamet recently began filming his next project, Netflix’s The King.

Emma Stone Just Got a Perm and Documented the Whole Thing

Perms are having a comeback. Yes, perms—but no, not the crunchy, ’80s music video curls you remember. Instead, 2018’s version is much more subtle. Think heat-free beach waves you can just wash and go. Both Julianne Hough and Jenna Dewan Tatum are counted among fans, and now there’s one more celebrity to add to the list. Folks, Emma Stone just got a perm.

The beloved actress, redhead, and, on occasion, Daenerys Targaryen doppelganger was seen in rollers at Mare Salon, posing with her partner in permanent waves, makeup artist Rachel Goodwin. And before you freak out, don’t—according to Goodwin’s caption, their new looks are “not your grandma’s perm!”

Behold the shot Goodwin shared of their perm process, from start to finish.

The technique, which many salons are calling a “digital wave”, starts around $350 depending where you go. It involves using a more diluted version of perm solution, where a stylist applies it to your hair, then wraps sections of hair around metal rollers (which you can see in the photo above). One of our staffers recently got it done and swears by how much time it’s cut off her routine.

While it’s hard to tell on wet hair exactly how curled—or wavy—Stone’s new hair will be, we think it’s safe to say that it’ll be damn good. And hey, if it’s less than perfect, at least she and her best friend will be growing out the look together.

Emma Stone Canceled Plans on Jennifer Lawrence and Left Her With Half a Face of Makeup

Make some room in your heart, because Emma Stone and Jennifer Lawrence’s friendship is going to need the space. Last week brought us the pair’s delightful joint interview with W, where they discussed memories like their pet turtles and a shared stalker (believe it or not, much funnier than it sounds). The only downside is that it took until now for the two to get on screen together, especially when you see the dynamic we’ve been missing out on. But on the upside, they just gave fans an inside look at the their Golden Globes night. As expected, it’s gold.

According to a video Lawrence posted on Facebook, the two were supposed to meet up after the ceremony to go to some after parties together. As celebrities do, Lawrence called in a glam squad to prep her look for the night—so when Stone texted that she’d rather just hang out at home instead, as good friends do, Lawrence rolled with the change of plans.

That meant stopping everything and sending her squad home for the night, and that meant the Internet got an fantastic video of Lawrence wearing exactly one-half of a full-on look.

“What happened tonight?” Stone asks Lawrence, who’s shown in profile. “Well. You had told me you wanted me to be your date to the after parties, so I got us tickets to some after parties, and booked a car, and was halfway through glam when you told me told me that you didn’t want to go,” Lawrence slowly says, turning towards the camera. “That you just wanted to come over to my house, so I sent my hair and makeup team home. And now this is what I look like.” She stares at the camera with one pitch-black smoky eye. The woman knows drama, and that is some impeccable comedic timing.

Emma Watson Opened Up About Sexual Harassment at the Golden Globes 2018

Emma Watson said she’s experienced the “full spectrum” of sexual harassment on the 2018 Golden Globes red carpet.

During the 2018 Golden Globes on January 7, Emma Watson opened up about sexual harassment in the entertainment industry. According to Variety, Emma said she’s experienced a range of harassment since she started in the spotlight.

“It’s amazing because I have experienced the full spectrum,” Emma said, after she was asked about whether she’s experienced sexual harassment. “But I think that for me, what is amazing is that my experiences are not unique, the experiences of my friends are not unique, the experiences of my colleagues are not unique. This issue is so systemic, structural. The statistics around, even just in the United Kingdom, women between ages 18 and 24, just huge, huge, huge numbers say that they have experienced sexual harassment in the workplace.”

Emma is right. The Guardian reports a 2016 poll found 63% of women ages 16 to 24 reported experiencing sexual harassment in the workplace. In the United States, Broadly reports a 2016 poll found two-thirds of women ages 18-24 said they’d been sexually harassed at work.

As more and more people speak up about sexual harassment, Emma said collecting so many stories shows just how widespread the issue is.

“You realize if you speak to most women they have an experience, they have a story,” she said. “We’re just uncovering. We’re just scratching the surface of this.”

Emma attended the award show with Marai Larasi, MBE, the executive director of the UK-based Black-feminist network organization Imkaan. Marai has worked toward ending violence against women and girls for more than 20 years. The pair both wore black as part of the #TimesUp initiative, started as a response to the allegations of sexual harassment and assault against Harvey Weinstein, in an effort to change how women in Hollywood and across the globe are treated. Emma, along with acresses like Emma Stone and Shailene Woodley, brought activists and advocates as their guests to this year’s Golden Globes.

This year, in light of the sexual misconduct allegations in Hollywood and other industries Teen Vogue is highlighting the 2018 Golden Globes with an eye for change. Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone's First Meeting Was Nearly Intercepted by a 'Stalker'

Well, this won’t convince you to see an orchestra anytime soon, that’s for damn sure.

Appearing in a new video for W magazine, Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone fondly reminisced about the time they both believed they might’ve not been texting with each other in the early stages of their friendship, but rather a peculiar “stalker” who attempted to charm them with his musical capabilities. Allow us to explain.

“We both had the same stalker. His name was John the Orchestra Guy. He would ‘accidentally’ text us,” Lawrence recalled in the video with a laugh. “He wasn’t really a stalker. He was this guy who had a lot of people’s numbers. He must’ve worked at a studio or as an agent’s assistant or something,” Stone clarified. “He texted me and said, Hey, Alex—making up a name. I’m running late on my way to the sound stage. Can you warm up the orchestra for me? Make sure the orchestra’s warmed up for me. It was always about the orchestra. Can you text me back and let me know you get this? John.

Both Stone and Lawrence were unaware at the time that this industry “stalker” was simultaneously texting both of them—again, they were only in a text-based friendship at that point—but it came to light when the duo finally decided to meet and hang out in-person. “We had been texting every day for a year, but we’d never talked on the phone and we’d never met,” Lawrence recounted. “Then we were finally going to meet and she sent me her address and I’m driving over, and on the way over, I’m like, Oh my god, what if this is John the Orchestra Guy? She thought when I was on the way over, Oh my god, what if this is John the Orchestra Guy? So then I called you and we were like…hello? That’s the first thing we had in common. We’ve all been there, right?”

Can’t say we’ve all been there—but these two are just the absolute best that we don’t even care. Check out the full video, below.
