It might be fall, but Emma Stone brought a little bit of spring to the New York Film Festival premiere of her new movie The Favourite. And by that, we mean she wore an actual bouquet of roses in her hair.

The gorgeous look is courtesy of Mara Roszak, a partner-slash-owner of the Mare Salon in West Hollywood, California. “How fun is this? Fresh roses in hair!? #EmmaStone for the premiere of @thefavouritemovie,” Roszak posted to Instagram on Friday (September 28), alongside two photos of Stone’s red hair decked out with nearly a dozen bright red and yellow roses. Roszak opted to style Stone’s hair long and wavy so the roses almost look like they form a vine that cascades from the top of her head.

The dreamily romantic look also showed up at New York Fashion Week’s Rodarte show this year, and Jennifer Lawrence also wore a batch of fresh flowers in her hair at the premiere of her movie Mother! last year. Perhaps Stone drew a little inspiration from her famous best friend—but whatever the case, it’s a stunning look.

Stone stars alongside Olivia Colman, Rachel Weisz, and Joe Alwyn (yep, Taylor Swift’s boyfriend) in The Favourite, which hits theaters everywhere on November 23.

Rihanna wears many hats—singer, actress, makeup mogul—but this weekend she dropped all of them to be a bridesmaid in her friend’s wedding.

Yes: Over the weekend, the “Wild Thoughts” singer served as a bridesmaid for her longtime pal Sonita Alexander’s wedding in Barbados, E! reports. For the occasion, Rihanna wore a cobalt blue silk dress with flutter sleeves and makeup to match. Take note for the next time you complain about bridesmaid duties: Even Rihanna’s done ’em!

Rihanna posted a shot on Instagram of herself and Alexander getting ready for the big day, showing off a pouty, high-gloss lip and bright blue eyeliner under her eyes. She also showed off her and Alexander’s matching silk “bride” and “bridesmaids” robes, which prove that stars and their friends really are just like the rest of us.

And even though Rihanna is an international superstar, pictures from the wedding prove she went out of her way to ensure Alexander was front and center. In most of the shots, RiRi is hanging out in the background, and the spotlight is very clearly on the bride. She also wore the same dress, hair, and makeup as the rest of the bridal party—you know, as normal bridesmaids do.

This isn’t the first time Rihanna’s served as a bridesmaid. In 2015, she took on the role at her friend Jennifer Rosales’s wedding in Hawaii.

As for when Rihanna’s own wedding might occur, if her behavior around the bouquet is any indication, it won’t be for quite some time. When Alexander tossed her bouquet into the crowd (per tradition) Rihanna ducked to avoid it. Someone caught the whole thing on video, and it was expectedly amazing. Click here to see that.

When Meghan Markle walked down the aisle of St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle last weekend for her royal wedding, she did so surrounded not by the requisite childhood pals and college girlfriends, but a group of tiny toddler bridesmaids and pageboys. This surprisingly well-behaved crew, which included Prince George and Princess Charlotte, trailed Markle to the altar, carried her veil, and were prominently featured in not one but two of the newlyweds’ official wedding portraits. If you’ve spent most of your waking hours since they were released on Monday studying every single inch of the photos (same), you may have noticed a curious detail: The pint-size wedding party appears to be one bouquet short.

Before you dive into “The Case of the Missing Royal Wedding Bouquet,” however, People has already cleared up the mystery. The bouquet-less bridesmaid is Ivy Mulroney, daughter of Meghan Markle’s close friend Jessica Mulroney, who had to keep her hands free during the ceremony for a pretty big job: holding the Duchess of Sussex’s own flowers. The 4-year-old didn’t seem to mind not having her own arrangement to carry, though, because she was able to hold hands with two of her new friends and fellow bridesmaids as they walked down the aisle together. And in one of the official portraits, bridesmaid Florence van Cutsem, Harry’s goddaughter, appears to have kindly let Ivy share her bouquet.

Earlier this week, wedding photographer Alexi Lubomirski explained just how he got the kids to sit still for those sweet portraits. “They were being bribed with one Smartie here, one Smartie there, so as soon as the kids came onto the set, I immediately just shouted out, ‘Who likes Smarties?’ and then everybody, hands up, smiles, even some adults put their hands up,” Lubomirski said, which completely explains the huge grins on every kid’s face.

When it comes to having a royal wedding, pretty much every step of the way is laced with tradition (unless, of course, you’re Meghan Markle, the upstart American breathing some life into the institution). Of course, it’s not much different for American regular-schmegular brides: Custom, for many brides, dictates everything from the color of the dress to what you do with your bouquet at the end of the night. Generally, the flowers are tossed to a crowd composed of all the single ladies in attendance; whoever catches it, of course, is supposedly the next person to get married. For royals, however, the flowers have a far different fate—and it happens to be even more symbolic than that.

Last time we saw the royal wedding bouquet—full of flowers Harry picked in part to honor his mother, no less—it was seated comfortably in Markle’s lap as she and Harry whizzed through Windsor on their post-vow carriage ride. Please see Exhibit A:

Now, on the day after the wedding, the bouquet has a new home: Westminster Abbey. And no, it’s not preserved in glass for the ages à la Beauty and the Beast. Instead, it has a symbolic place of rest on the cathedral’s Grave of the Unknown Warrior.

Much like the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Washington, D.C.’s Arlington National Cemetary, the Grave of the Unknown Warrior commemorates those who have died in international military conflicts dating back to World War I. Like the American monument, an unknown soldier is buried beneath the stones, making the grave a symbol of sacrifice. (The soldier in Westminster was buried in 1920, the soldier in Arlington a year later.)

According to a statement from Westminster Abbey, brides have been sending their bouquets here ever since Queen Elizabeth placed hers there in 1947 to honor her brother Fergus, who was killed in 1915 during WWI’s Battle of Loos.

Kate Middleton did the same thing with her bouquet after her wedding to Prince William in 2011, too:
