Here’s Every Wedding Dress In Vera Wang’s Brand-New Bridal Collection

Vera Wang’s name is on everything from perfume to pillowcases, but the first thing anyone thinks when she hears “Vera Wang” is “wedding dresses.” And despite the hundred or so wedding-dress designers who participate in Bridal Fashion Week, an invitation to Vera’s showroom is still the most coveted. We stopped by to see Vera’s nine-dress Spring 2018 collection, which features the exquisite lace and light-as-air layers of tulle we’ve come to expect from Vera Wang—and some not-so-expected lingerie-inspired details, including removable corsets and bras that were meant to be seen. Click through to see every one of Vera Wang’s brand-new wedding dresses in campaign images that were shot in Paris’ Jardin du Luxembourg by Patrick Demarchelier.

This Is What Virgil Abloh's Princess Diana-Inspired Off-White Collection Looks Like

During the summer, designer Virgil Abloh began sharing his mood boards for Off-White’s upcoming Spring 2018 collection on Instagram… and he had a singular muse: Diana, Princess of Wales. The late royal was on the minds of many at the time, since the 20th anniversary of her death was creeping up at the end of August: Documentaries were slated to come out, never-before-seen interviews were resurfaced, and old images began inundating our social feeds. Alboh told British Vogue it was the latter that set off the creative lightbulb for this collection. “She was a strong individual that despite her position had her own personal taste and it came out through the clothes—there is no stylist at play here,” the designer said. “Her personal taste was very out of the way from what she was supposed to wear. It’s an inspiration.”

So, Abloh presented 40 looks in tribute to Princess Diana and her sartorial legacy during Paris Fashion Week, as part of an Off-White collection titled “Natural Women.” There are the obvious references to her wardrobe signatures, which were updated and infused with the designer’s sensibility for streetwear: the strings of pearls, the heavy jeweled earrings, the strong shoulders, the polka dots, the gloves, the biker shorts, the Jimmy Choos (a special collaboration for the Spring 2018 season). Then, there are the ones that are more on-the-nose, such as the clutch bags bearing the titles of magazines that covered her whereabouts extensively, like People and Time (in each brand’s signature font), that say more about her legacy. Altogether, they all confirm what we’ve already known: that Princess Diana’s fashion feels as relevant as ever.

Ahead, see all the looks in Off-White’s Spring 2018 Princess Diana-inspired “Natural Woman” collection.

Chrissy Metz Low-Key Teased LOFT's First Plus-Sized Clothing Collection

Few actresses have been as vocal about plus-sized inclusion in fashion as This Is Us star Chrissy Metz. She recently gave a heartfelt keynote address at Curvy Con asking for more—and better—clothing options in larger sizes. And, judging from the outfit she wore during an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers last night, it seems like some retailers are listening to her.

The actress visited the late-night talk show host wearing a black long-sleeved, polka-dot dress not unlike the wrap styles we’ve seen cropping up all over Instagram this year. But more than simply being on-trend, Metz’s dress signaled the launch of plus-sized clothing by none other than LOFT. In case there were any lingering doubts about this announcement, the This Is Us star basically confirmed the news by tagging the brand in her pre-show selfie on Instagram.

LOFT’s inaugural plus-sized assortment will debut in February, for Spring 2018, a representative for the brand confirmed to Glamour. Its foray into more inclusive sizing was announced by Gary Muto, the President and CEO of Ascena Brands (which owns LOFT, as well as Lou & Grey, Ann Taylor, Lane Bryant, and Dressbarn) on an earnings call yesterday. Though, LOFT began dabbling in plus-sized fashion earlier this month, when it launched its capsule collection with Gwynnie Bee.

While we’ve seen an ultra-chic collaborations as of late, such as Gabi Gregg’s lingerie collection with Playful Promises and Katie Sturino’s capsule for Eloquii, retailers that are truly size inclusive are still few and far between. That’s why we’re beyond excited about this LOFT collection: By adding plus to a lineup that already includes petite and tall sizes, the brand is well on its way to true inclusivity.

Shoppers may have to check back next year to buy Metz’s exact dress, but we have a feeling LOFT’s first-ever plus-sized collection will be worth the wait.

An Aaliyah MAC Collection Is Happening By Popular Demand

MAC fans probably remember where they were last September when the news broke that, thanks to a change.org petition, the brand would be releasing a collection around music icon Selena Quintanilla. Not to throw around the phrase “broke the Internet,” but it legit broke the Internet—the combination of MAC lovers and Selena fans was no joke, and the collection sold out literally in minutes. Basking in the success of the brand responding to what people want, fans then asked for the next dream collab: an Aaliyah x MAC collection in honor of the legendary late singer. Flash forward one year later, and the Internet’s power for turning fantasy into reality knows no bounds: that Aaliyah collection is actually happening.

Announced today, MAC told fans to stay tuned in 2018 for #AaliyahforMAC, which launches next summer. Those are literally the only details available, other than the tagline that, “Aaliyah is truly one in a million — an unstoppable icon whose groundbreaking work in R&B music and film inspires us all. Today we join her countless fans in celebrating her with the announcement of the M·A·C Aaliyah collection. You made it happen!” There’s no putting a number on the amount of people who have been influenced by her music, but heading over to change.org gives a little clarity: 26,187 supporters (and counting) have signed the petition.

According to the petition creator—one Jennifer Risinger, hero—both Missy Elliott and Rashad Haughton, Aaliyah’s brother, have condoned the ask. Haughton says Aaliyah was a big fan of MAC, and her go-to products were Cherish lipstick, Chestnut lipliner, and Espresso eyeshadow, alongside the since-discontinued Chelsea lipstick and Biscuit eyeshadow (side note, props that Haughton held on to that knowledge).

Speaking to what fans want to see, Risinger writes that they’re hoping for eyeshadows, lipsticks, lip liners, lip glosses, contour and highlight powder, face powder, false lashes, and eyebrow pencils that represent and are inspired by Aaliyah. In the petition, she wrote: “Aaliyah stands for MAC’s mission of ‘All ages, All races, All sexes.’ She was a risk taker, innovator, edgy, street but sweet, and R & B’s princess. She continues to influence today’s mainstream artists and people around the world still love and celebrate her life and music every year.”

Fans went full picture on what their fantasy Aaliyah collection would look like, asking for the packaging to draw on the iconic blue-toned print on the cover of her album “One in a Million.” The album’s 20th anniversary is this year, and given the rabid turnout MAC’s Selena collection received, it’s a safe bet to guess that the reception is going to be insane. So long as there’s a shade called “Rock the Boat.” We demand it.
