The Bachelorette Season 15, Episode 8 Recap: Could Mike Be the Next Bachelor?


Sorry to partially spoil tonight’s episode of The Bachelorette in the headline, but I think you all knew Mike wasn’t endgame for Hannah. He should have been, though, considering three out of the four remaining guys have some sort of controversy following them. Don’t let us down, Tyler—you’re all we have left! What else can I spoil about the ep for you? Dig in.

We’re in the Netherlands this week, and Hannah thinks everyone has moved “past the drama.” Sure, just one quick question: Is Luke P. still here?

Also, picking Jed for the first one-on-one date of the week doesn’t seem to help these dudes move “past the drama.” When Hannah asks Jed out, the other guys look like a kid being picked last for kickball. “He didn’t bring his guitar, did he?” someone quips as they walk away.

Hannah and Jed’s date is fairly uneventful, however. They take a boat ride, walk around Amsterdam, and make out. At one point they talk with an older couple who have been together 54 years, but only knew each other about 10 days before they married. “It must have been written in the stars,” the woman tells them. It’s a sweet story, but also obviously a plant. Right? Or am I that cynical?

Who could say; regardless, the woman’s story inspires Jed to reiterate to Hannah that he’s falling for her. She says it’s hard to be open about how she’s really feeling, but she is excited about their relationship. And when they meet up for dinner that night, the conversation picks up where it left off: Hannah has apparently been holding back her feelings because she doesn’t want to hurt anyone. Jed says he understands, but all of the pressure shouldn’t be on her alone—he wants to take some of it on because that’s what a partner does. “I want you to feel like you can open up,” he says. And so, Hannah admits she’s falling in love with him.

“I feel the same way. I’m falling in love with you,” he replies. She gives him a rose, which means she’ll be going to Jed’s hometown next week.

A Bachelor or Bachelorette admitting they’re falling in love before the fantasy suites is rare and a big deal on this show, but Tyler still has a horse in this race. No, literally: Their date involves horseback riding through the Hague.

What’s Up With the ‘Bachelorette’ Contestants Wearing the Same Pink Blazer?


Turns out, there’s a good chance those pink jackets were gifted to the men on the show. Former Bachelor Nick Viall recently opened up on his podcast, The Viall Files, to discuss the “gift bags” that are given to contestants.

“Every season you get a gift bag when you show up. I guarantee you there’s a blazer company that gifted the guys different colored blazers,” he said. “I’m certain that’s what happened. I’m certain that’s what it is. I haven’t asked, but I would be shocked if that’s not it.”

This explains a lot. Former contestant Jaclyn Swartz previously told Refinery29 that she received a bag of goodies on her season as well, which included bathing suits, clothes, nail polish, and even a hair wand. Jillian Harris also confirmed on her blog that the swag bags are a staple in the Bachelor franchise, adding that the bags are filled with clothes that producers want contestants to wear on camera.

This also explains why there are other colored blazers—like this cranberry one that Dylan wore—floating around the mansion outside of the pink ones. It’s safe to assume that if blazers did come in the gift bags, they’re likely different colors and fans just zeroed in on the pink ones. For now we can only hope the salmon jacket will be addressed—and worn!—on the “Men Tell All” special, which airs July 22.

Selena Gomez Is Living Her Best Life at Her Cousin's Bachelorette Party in Mexico


Selena Gomez has truly been back in action after taking a mental health break last year: She recently wrapped up a zombie movie with Bill Murray, she walked her first few red carpets in a while, and she’s even helped design some bathing suits for her friend’s swimwear line. However, she’s still making sure to enjoy time off with friends and family. On Friday, her bud Theresa Marie Mingus posted a photo of Gomez hanging out in Mexico for her cousin Priscilla DeLeon’s bachelorette party, showing that she’s still making it a priority to kick back and relax.

The photo shows Gomez, Mingus, and DeLeon lounging poolside in a cabana in Puerto Vallarta, where they are reportedly celebrating DeLeon’s engagement. DeLeon is getting ready to tie the knot with her fiancé Jay Cosme, who popped the question back in 2016. “My fam is getting married,” Mingus captioned the post with a crying emoji.

DeLeon chronicled some of the bachelorette adventures on her own social media. She shared photos of her bridal crew riding ATVs, and later she uploaded an image of herself on the beach in a white bikini and a veil.

Gomez has updated her followers with her cousin’s happy news few times on her own Instagram. When DeLeon first got engaged, Gomez published an emotional picture of the two of them together, writing, “We have waited our whole lives for this.” In a black-and-white shot of Gomez, DeLeon revealed that she’d asked the singer to be her maid of honor.

There’s no doubt that Gomez is going to be a great maid of honor—she’s already shown she has excellent planning skills when it comes to celebrations from friends and family. She threw her bud Courtney Barry a gorgeous bridal shower in Texas this January, after all—and she hosted an adorable birthday party for her other friend Raquelle Steven in March.

The Bachelorette Season 15, Episode 7 Recap: Seriously, What Does Hannah See in Luke?


Caution: Spoilers for The Bachelorette ahead.

Last week, Hannah decided to give a rose to Luke—a man who whines, “I’m giving you the best I have!” while showing the worst side of himself—for reasons still unclear to the rest of Bachelor Nation. If her decision annoyed you, I have bad news: She does it again tonight. WHY, HANNAH? All season long you’ve told us that you’re looking for a partner who respects you and your decisions, and you have no problem calling out the dudes—even Luke—when they behave badly. So I need answers beyond Chris Harrison’s explanation that it’s because you have an “amazing bond” with him. Where is this bond, other than a makeout session in week one? Show me receipts.

But let’s back up. The group is now in Latvia, and Hannah hopes she can turn things around from last week’s debacle. “I want this week to remind me why I’m here,” she explains. What, a chance at mattress and clothing spon-con deals? No, “to find love and to be romanced by these men.” Ah, yes, of course.

Garrett gets the first one-on-one date of the week, and Luke claims this is the first time he’s “actually, legitimately” jealous. He says he knows for “a fact” that the other guys don’t feel the same way about Hannah as he does. Luke, I agree with you: No, the others don’t feel the same way about Hannah. That’s because, as far as I can tell, they don’t see her as a piece of property. (Guys, warning you now: Luke has me all fired up, so if you’re #TeamLP this recap may not be for you.)

Anyway, the date with Garrett is as awkward as Luke trying to explain his feelings: bungee jumping. While naked. Apparently this is a Latvian tradition, but an admittedly brief Google search makes me think this happened, like, one time in 2014.

Hannah reacts to this excursion exactly how I would: complaining about how cold she is. However, she says Old Hannah would let fear control her. New Hannah wants to live in the moment and do what “feels right,” and apparently that means bungee jumping over a ravine strapped to a hunky dude while a large black bar covers their bits and bobs. They survive—but Hannah’s bra, which the bungee jumping staff carelessly tosses into the river, does not. So rude! If Hannah’s anything like me, she had at least five more years of shelf life out of that thing.

Tyler Cameron Sees Himself 'at the End' With Bachelorette Hannah Brown


Tyler Cameron has quickly positioned himself as a fan favorite on The Bachelorette this season, and it’s obvious why. For one, have you looked at him? The man is so hot I shed a tear every time he smiles. (Kidding, but I’m close to it.)

Of course, Cameron has more than just good looks. He and Brown have a genuine connection—their very electric moments, even during a group date, are proof of that. Their first one-on-one was one of the best dates Brown has had this season, if not the best. But that’s probably not surprising to Cameron: He was confident from the start that the two of them would connect.

“From what I’ve seen, there’s a lot of things I really adore about her,” Tyler Cameron told Glamour before production on The Bachelorette got into full swing. “She’s a real-ass woman. She’s her. She doesn’t care. She’s unapologetically Hannah B.—and I love that. I adore that. So I think things like that will keep me very, very interested, and I’m excited.”

This confidence is one of the most attractive things about Cameron, though he says sometimes it can be misconstrued as arrogance. The way he combats this is by being as authentic as possible. “I’m real and I’m true, and you’re going to get that from me, and you’ll see that with me and Hannah,” he said prior to meeting Brown. “I’ve got nothing to hide and I’m excited to show who I am and show it to her, and I hope she loves it, so that’s the plan. “

The Bachelorette Season 15, Episode 6 Recap:


Hannah complains to Chris that the Luke drama is taking up her time, and it’s hurting every relationship. Chris’ take: The guys are crazy about her, and they’re jealous of the attention she gives Luke. Wow, that’s…missing the point. My take: If you dump Luke, we wouldn’t have to talk so much about Luke.

Anyway, Hannah decides to just get the rose ceremony over with. Mike and Jed already had roses, and the rest go to Connor, Tyler, Dustin, Peter, Dylan, Garrett, and Luke. That means goodbye to Devin, Kevin, and Grant. Once they leave, Hannah sets the remaining dudes straight: She’s not sure she sees a future with anybody at this point, so they’ve got to figure it out.

And with that, it’s time for the next destination: Latvia. But before Hannah takes the guys out for dates, she sits down with Chris for a heart-to-heart. “I’m not trusting these relationships as much as I’d want to,” she explains. The guys haven’t been asking her the right questions or showing a deeper side of themselves, so she’s not comfortable opening up that side of herself yet. She thought by now she’d understand her feelings and emotions better. But, “I just don’t want to give my heart to anybody who doesn’t deserve it.”

The rest of the episode is a bit strange: Basically, Chris brings Hannah to the Bachelor mansion to recap everything we’ve seen in the season so far. They talk about the highs and lows, but none of it is that enlightening. We do find out Luke is the best kisser, though, so I guess that explains a lot. Also, Hannah once named a pimple Marcus, which I think is a good name for a pimple.
