Pippa Middleton Joined Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton at Wimbledon for the First Time

The early aughts had Paris, Nicole, and Lindsay. The mid-2000s brought Taylor Swift and her squad. Today at the Wimbledon Ladies’ Singles Final, we were introduced to another historic girl gang: Pippa Middleton, Kate Middleton, and Meghan Markle.

Pippa joined Markle and Kate in the royal box to watch Serena Williams, Markle’s close friend, compete (the champion ultimately lost to Simona Halep). The third member of their tennis party was unexpected: Buckingham Palace said on Friday that Markle and Kate would attend Wimbledon together, but the announcement didn’t hint that Pippa would also be there. It’s the first time that Pippa has joined the Duchess of Sussex and the Duchess of Cambridge for a public outing.

From the looks of it, the trio had a low-key afternoon together. Pippa chatted with Markle and her sister throughout the match, and judging by the pictures, all three couldn’t stop smiling. Feud? We haven’t heard of her.

The outing also offered plenty of late-summer outfit ideas: Markle wore a crisp white button-down with a skirt from Hugo Boss; Kate opted for a Dolce & Gabbana dress; and Pippa Middleton reportedly wore a dress by Anna Mason.

Emma Thompson Quit ‘Luck’ After an Alleged Sexual Harasser John Lasseter Joined the Project

Since the Harvey Weinstein story broke in the fall of 2017, a steady stream of powerful (and often famous) men have been accused of sexual misconduct. But the era of #MeToo has also seen a cycle of redemption and comebacks for some of these accused men. Louis C.K. is back doing stand-up. Ousted CBS chief Les Moonves is already working on a new venture. Brett Kavanaugh is sitting on the U.S. Supreme Court.

Now Emma Thompson has reportedly quit an upcoming film project over the hiring of one such man: John Lasseter, the former chief creative officer of Pixar. Allegations about Lasseter first became public knowledge in November 2017, though claims of a “whisper network” surrounding him existed for much longer, after he was accused of “grabbing, kissing, making comments about physical attributes.”

Lasseter apologized for his behavior, saying, “I’ve recently had a number of difficult conversations that have been very painful for me. It’s never easy to face your missteps, but it’s the only way to learn from them.” Then, this January, he was hired as the head of Skydance Animation, which is set to produce the film Luck.

That’s where Emma Thompson comes in. The actress was slated to voice one of the characters, but Variety confirms that she dropped out of the project after Lasseter’s hiring. Skydance has not commented on the departure.

She may not have released a big statement about this decision, but it’s major that a Hollywood A-lister of Thompson’s caliber is walking away from what is likely a lucrative deal in response to the hiring of a man with sexual harassment allegations. This is one powerful way allies in positions of influence can show support for the survivors who have been brave enough to speak out about inappropriate behavior.

We hope to see more of that in 2019.

Meghan Markle Joined the Entire Royal Family for a Pre-Christmas Lunch With the Queen

Meghan Markle is well on her way to becoming a full-fledged member of the royal family: she’s already spent one-on-one time with Queen Elizabeth II and moved to Prince Harry’s Nottingham Cottage, next door to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s home on the Kensington Palace grounds, and now, she’s celebrating the holidays with her fiancé’s extended family.

According to People, Meghan and Harry joined Will, Kate, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and more than 50 other members of the royal family for the queen’s annual pre-Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday. Harry and Meghan were photographed driving to the palace in a Land Rover shortly after Will, Kate, and their kids arrived in their own Range Rover. People reports that all of Queen Elizabeth’s four children were in attendance, as well as most of her eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; Prince Charles, Duchess Camilla, Princess Eugenie, Princess Beatrice, and Zara and Mike Tindall were all spotted at the palace. This was reportedly the first time Markle attended a lunch with the entire family at the palace.

QEII’s annual pre-Christmas lunch kicks off her multi-day Christmas celebrations, for which Markle will also be in attendance. The queen and her family will spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in Norfolk, about a three-hour drive north of London. According to People, they’ll spend Christmas Eve exchanging gifts at her Sandringham House country estate, attend church at nearby St. Mary Magdalene Church the following morning, then feast on a Christmas lunch at the estate. As Us Weekly previously reported, Meghan and Harry will most likely stay with Will and Kate at their own Norfolk estate, Anmer Hall, for the holidays.

Meghan’s inclusion in the queen’s Christmas festivities marks something of a break with tradition. In December 2010, one month after her own royal engagement, although Kate did attend the pre-Christmas lunch with the rest of the extended family, she was not invited to Sandringham House for Christmas Day celebrations.

Taylor Swift Performed 'End Game' Live for the First Time—and Ed Sheeran Joined Her for It

Taylor Swift made her official return to the stage on Friday night for her first post-Reputation-release concert performance at KIIS FM’s iHeartRadio Jingle Ball 2017 in Los Angeles. The “…Ready for It?” singer performed two of her new songs along with a few throwbacks, proving Old Taylor might still be alive and well after all. Although fans knew she’d be headlining the concert, they got a huge surprise when Ed Sheeran stepped on stage to sing with her. It’s the first time the two singers and good friends have shared a stage in three years.

T.Swift took the stage as the last performer of the night. She opened her set with her single “…Ready For It?” before transitioning into “Blank Space,””Shake It Off,” and “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever.” She ended the night with “Look What You Made Me Do”—but before that final number, Swift brought the house down with her first live performance of “End Game,” a song from Reputation that features Sheeran and Future. She started the song on her own before Sheeran popped back onstage to join her (he’d finished his own performance for the concert earlier). The crowd, unsurprisingly, went wild.

Watch their moment on stage below:

This is one of the few times we’ve seen the pair perform together since Sheeran opened for the 2013-2014 Red Tour, and Twitter was all about it. Check out some of the best reactions below:

The entire concert will air on the CW on December 14 at 8 P.M. EST.
