Meghan Markle Is Reportedly Thinking About Relaunching The Tig

Now that Meghan Markle has reportedly moved to L.A and secured her first Hollywood gig since leaving the U.K., it’s time for her to get back to another one of her passions: writing.

Markle is jumping headfirst into her new life now that she and Prince Harry have stepped down as senior working royals. According to Us Weekly, the duchess is planning her second cookbook and considering relaunching her lifestyle blog, The Tig, which was shut down when things became serious with Harry. Her first cookbook, Together: Our Community Cookbook, which she co-wrote with The Hubb Community Kitchen, came out in 2018.

“Meghan has heaps of projects in the works,” the source told the publication, including plenty of philanthropic work.

Back in 2019, Markle renewed the trademark for The Tig, sparking rumors that she was relaunching the site, described as a “hub for the discerning palate—those with a hunger for food, travel, fashion, and beauty.” Alas, at the time, a spokesperson revealed that “the lasting trademark is to prevent false branding [and] to avoid others purporting to be the duchess or affiliated with her.”

But now fans of the blog have hope once again. Interestingly, Markle once wrote about both her childhood dreams of becoming a princess and Kate Middleton on The Tig, long before meeting her future husband. “Little girls dream of being princesses. I, for one, was all about She-Ra, Princess of Power,” she wrote in 2014. “And grown women seem to retain this childhood fantasy. Just look at the pomp and circumstance surrounding the royal wedding and endless conversation about Princess Kate.”

I’m glad Meghan Markle is getting back to doing what she really loves with her family by her side. And if she does relaunch The Tig, I bet the site traffic will be through the roof.

The Little Women Stars Just Said What We're All Thinking About Greta Gerwig's Oscar Snub

When the 2020 Oscar nominations were announced on Monday, it was clear the Academy had egregiously snubbed the work of women, including Greta Gerwig’s directorial efforts in Little Women and Jennifer Lopez’s acting in Hustlers. Plenty of people went off on Twitter, but the actual stars of Little Women decided to add their voices to the conversation, with Saoirse Ronan and Florence Pugh opening up about how Gerwig’s undertaking as a director should have been recognized.

Ronan (Jo March in the film) and Pugh (Amy March), were both nominated for their acting in the movie. Little Women also got nods for Best Picture, Adapted Screenplay, Costume Design Achievements, and Original Score. However, despite how well-received Gerwig’s adaptation was, she was conspicuously missing from a nomination list of all-male directors, a category that has historically left out women. Pugh had strong feelings about what Gerwig getting iced out means, telling Deadline it’s “a big blow, especially because she created a film that is so her and so unique and it’s just come out of her, and it’s been a story she’s wanted to do for so long.”

She continued, “I think everybody’s angry and quite rightly so. I can’t believe it’s happened again, but I don’t really know how to solve it. I don’t know what the answer is, other than we’re talking about it.”

Ronan, who also starred in Gerwig’s Lady Bird, also told Deadline, “I’m really happy that the Academy recognized [Gerwig] for Adapted Screenplay and Picture, and I feel like if you’ve been nominated for Best Picture, you have essentially been nominated for Best Director,” she said. “But to me, Greta, since she started, has made two perfect films, and I hope when she makes her next perfect movie, she gets recognized for everything, because I think she’s one of the most important filmmakers of our time.”

We hope so too.

Demi Lovato Just Said What We’re All Thinking About the 10 Year Challenge

Demi Lovato is living in the moment this year—that’s why she isn’t doing the 10-Year Challenge currently going viral on all your social media feeds.

Don’t know what the 10-Year Challenge is? Lucky you! It’s basically a side-by-side photo game where people are sharing one image of themselves from 2009 and another from 2019. The goal, seemingly, is to show how hot you’ve become over the last decade. The power of the “glow-up,” and all that jazz.

Except Lovato isn’t buying into it. “Sorry, I’d love to post a #10YearChallenge pic, but I’m too busy living in the moment,” the singer posted alongside the emoji of a girl holding her hand out. It’s literally the definition of “Sorry Not Sorry,” which you should stream right now as you’re reading this.

Check out her post for yourself, below:

Her fans, naturally, are living for this. “Thank you, you really always have the right words,” one of them tweeted. “Yaass Queen,” posted another.

This isn’t shade to people who’ve completed the 10-Year Challenge, of course. Some are doing it for more personal reasons, I like to employ a “you do you” mentality when it comes to social media. But Lovato’s message is a good reminder that loving who you are right now is the most important thing.

It’s been a trying few months for Demi, who suffered from a reported overdose over the summer and quickly entered recovery. “I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction,” she posted in August about the incident. “What I’ve learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet.” She made her return to Instagram on Election Day in November 2018 and has posted a steady stream of updates since then.

Kylie Jenner Revealed That She's Thinking About Having More Kids

Kylie Jenner took to Snapchat on Saturday night with her BFF Jordyn Woods to benevolently answer a few fan questions—one of which, unsurprisingly enough, was if she was thinking about having more kids, and if so, when? Jenner’s been mom to Stormi Webster, whom she had with boyfriend Travis Scott, since early February. And after eight months of being a new mom, it seems like Jenner is taking to family life: During Scott’s SNL performance on Saturday night, she posted an Instagram Story that zooms into Scott performing on stage, and she captioned the whole shebang with the words “hubby” and three heart-eye emojis. What does this mean? We have no answers at this time, but feel free to scan the video below (sans sound, unfortunately) for evidence before we get back to the baby thing.

Ok, back to Jenner’s broody musings: After the fan asked if Jenner was thinking about having more kids, she answered in the affirmative—with a catch.

“I want another baby but when is the question and I’m definitely not ready right this second. And I don’t know when I will be,” she said. “But yeah when I do I would love to share more of that with you guys.”

The conversation between Jenner and her fans continued AMA-style, with another follower asking her what she was planning on naming the aforementioned potential offspring.

“I have [been thinking about names] but I haven’t found anything that I love love,” she said. “But I definitely want another girl, hopefully, but I want her to have a feminine name.”

Another fan asked her who Stormi reminds her most of out of all of her family members. “I think that her personality is just like Kendall and her dad, she is just like her dad, but she does look like me, so,” she said.

Well, it’s safe to say that whenever Kylie’s ready, the Internet will be there.

The 'Pitch Perfect' Women Really Have Us Thinking a 4th Movie Is Happening

Here’s some aca-amazing news to brighten up your Monday: Pitch Perfect 4 might be underway. On Sunday (September 30), four of the Barden Bellas—Anna Camp, Chrissie Fit, Brittany Snow, and Rebel Wilson—posted the same cryptic photo to their respective Instagrams. In the photo, the four Bellas pose while holding up four fingers. Wilson, Camp, and Fit all captioned the photo with four hearts, while Snow opted for “4 thumbs down.”

Naturally, fans are freaking out in the comments, with many interpreting the post as confirmation—or at least a hint—that a fourth movie in the popular Pitch Perfect franchise is on the way. Of course, there’s an another explanation for all this: As their Instagrams show, the Bellas were all present for Camp and Skylar Astin’s joint birthday celebration, so maybe the fours were just to show that, well, four of the former cast members have reunited in person.

Still, we’re not prepared to rule out the possibility of a Pitch Perfect 4. Considering the success of the previous three movies, another installment in the franchise is basically a no-brainer. And although screenwriter Kay Cannon told E! in April that Pitch Perfect 3 was the “end of the Bellas as we know them,” Anna Kendrick said she’d totally be down to reprise her role as Beca Mitchell for a fourth time. “Hell yeah!” she told Entertainment Weekly in August. “We’d do them forever.”

Kendrick isn’t the only Pitch Perfect star who’d want to return. Just last week Snow told Extra TV that “all of us would be game for it.” “We have the best time filming those movies. We made some of our best friends during that franchise,” she told the publication. “Part of us knows that chapter might be closed and is OK with that, but we are still incredibly close and we will probably make them—if they want us to—until the end of time.”

Demi Lovato's Mother Says She Still 'Shakes' Thinking About Her Daughter's Overdose

In late July news broke that Demi Lovato was hospitalized for a reported overdose. It wasn’t until August 5 that the singer opened up about the incident herself, writing on Instagram, “I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction. What I’ve learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet.” Lovato ended her message by telling fans she was going to take some time to “heal and focus on [her] sobriety and road to recovery,” and she hasn’t updated her social media channels since.

Now, the singer’s mother, Dianna de la Garza, is talking about what happened. In a new interview with Newsmax TV, de la Garza confirms Lovato did overdose and that the entire ordeal still makes her “shake.” “It’s still a really difficult thing to talk about,” de la Garza said in the interview. “I literally start to shake a little bit when I start to remember what happened that day.”

According to de la Garza, she first heard about Lovato’s overdose from her friends and loved ones, who bombarded her with text messages expressing their condolences. What they were talking about exactly was still unclear to her, but it became all too real when she received a phone call from Lovato’s assistant, Kelsey. “[Kelsey] said, ‘Demi overdosed,’ de la Garza recalled.

That’s when she and her two other daughters, Dallas and Madison, rushed to the hospital. “We got there as quickly as we could,” de la Garza said. “Dallas and Madison and I jumped out of the car at the emergency room and ran into the emergency room to be by her side. [Lovato] just didn’t look good—at all. She was in bad shape. But I said to her, ‘Demi, I’m here. I love you.’ And at that point she said back to me, ‘I love you, too.'”

De la Garza believes the positive thoughts she and Lovato’s legion of fans put into the universe are why she’s still here today. “I don’t think she would be here if it hadn’t been for those prayers and the good doctors and Cedars-Sinai,” de la Garza said.”They were the best. I couldn’t have asked for a better team of people to save her life.”

Fans will be pleased to know Lovato is now happy, healthy, and “working on her sobriety,” according to de la Garza. “She’s getting the help she needs,” she added. “That in itself encourages me about her future and about the future of our family.”

Watch de al Garza talk about all this and more in the video, above.
