Who Are the 2020 Bachelorette Contestants? Top Theories About Clare Crawley's Cast


As you very well know by now, Clare Crawley is the new Bachelorette. What you don’t know is what that means for this year’s Bachelorette contestants.

One thing is certain: If Pete Weber’s Bachelor gimmick was his pilot’s license, Crawley’s theme is undoubtedly going to be her age. At 38, she is the oldest Bachelorette in franchise history, directly following Hannah Brown, the youngest at 24 years old. Like Brown, Crawley has been through the Bachelor Nation ringer before: first on Juan Pablo’s season of The Bachelor, then on two seasons of Bachelor in Paradise, followed by a stint on Bachelor: Winter Games.

So, what does this all mean for Crawley’s options? If The Bachelor producers are smart—which you have to admit they are, despite some odd rules and…choices they’ve made lately—they’re going to adjust the group of singles to meet Crawley’s needs and past experiences.

Of Brown’s 30 contestants, 24 were older than her, five were exactly her age, and only one of them was younger at 23 years old. Overall, the average age was 27.

Weber’s crew is quite young. Of his 30 contestants, only one was older than him (at 31), and the youngest women were both 22. The average age came out to about 25. Interesting. With seven 23-year-olds on his roster, it’s no wonder there were so many complaints that the contestants were too young.

That’s likely not how it’s going to go down for Crawley. Here’s everything we know (which at, this point, is mostly speculative) about the 2020 Bachelorette contestants.

Crawley will get to meet some of them soon. Spoiler-in-Chief Reality Steve says that she will be introduced to five of her possible contestants during the second part of Weber’s finale. Perfect timing, if he’s right and filming begins on March 13.

The dudes are definitely going to be older…mostly. Reality Steve also says he has the first scoop on about half of the guys. According to his tweet, their ages are 28, 28, 25, 23, 28, 30, 40, 28, 31, 33, 26, 26, 28, and 28. Still, make sure to take that with a grain of salt. Reality Steve also says some could drop out/get cut before the official bell is rung.

This could be the season of the Daddy According to Reality Steve, there are already at least 4 fathers amongst the cast. Again, take with a grain of salt.

What Happens in the ‘Bachelor’ Finale? The Women From Peter Weber’s Season Have Theories


The Bachelor’s fantasy suite episode is supposed to give viewers more clarity about who will be the front-runner in the finale, but this season? Not so much. “It’s insane,” Kelsey Weier, the fourth runner-up for Peter Weber’s final rose, tells Glamour. “It’s insane that nobody knows what happens. I thought by now I would know, and I don’t.”

To recap, Madison Prewett told Peter before the fantasy suite dates began that she wasn’t sure whether she could continue on the show if he was intimate with Hannah Ann Sluss or Victoria Fuller. She didn’t share with him that she’s saving herself for marriage, instead focusing on the fact that it would be hard for her to accept a proposal from someone who was sleeping with other women a few days earlier. Peter understood Madison’s concerns but wasn’t able to give her much reassurance. (This is, after all, The Bachelor.)

Knowing this, Peter still went on to have overnight dates with Hannah Ann and Victoria. And when he met up with Madison for their date—naturally, the producers made her go last—Peter admitted that he had been intimate with the other women. Madison excused herself, Peter followed, and they hugged and cried for what felt like hours. Peter begged Madison not to leave, but she walked away.

So is that it? Or was that just her way of ending their date? Will she show up at the rose ceremony? Bachelor Nation has so many questions—and we have to wait another week for answers.

Even if you want spoilers, they’re not out there. At least not with any certainty. Peter said at the start of this season that the finale wouldn’t be spoiled—which is rare for the series—and so far he’s right.

Is Peter with anyone? Did the final rose ceremony even happen? Did Hannah Brown come back? Did Peter’s final pick leave the show before he could propose? Or did one of his final two drop a bombshell that changed his mind?

At the “Women Tell All” taping, which airs Monday, March 2, Chris Harrison said that Peter season’s “ending is one that no one will see coming” and “if you think you know how the story ends, you don’t.” So with that said, we asked several of Peter’s now eliminated contestants for their best theories. One thing we know for sure: The “After the Final Rose” episode can’t come fast enough.

“There are so many different ways this could end, and so many of them are possible, but my best guess is Maddie left and then she came back and Peter is like, What the heck is going on? He thought he let her go, and now he’s going to take her back and they get married. But what if Hannah Brown comes back? My goodness!”

Sydney Hightower

“From about week two, you get a feeling for who someone is into, and Madison was that person. I was like, ‘They’ve got something and I don’t know if I can get there, but I want to.’ You can tell. I think Peter is going to be extremely happy with whichever way he goes, but I always saw a certain energy between him and Madison. He loves her. I know Madison personally; we live in the same state and have had many conversations, and one thing I pride Madison on is her ability to stay true to herself. Her courage is to stay strong to her faith and what she believes [and it] makes me feel like he sees something special in her. I feel she will get [past him sleeping with the other women].”

Kelsey Weier

“Honestly, [my finale prediction] changes every other day. Part of me thinks he’s with Hannah Ann, and part of me thinks he’s with Maddie. I’m friends with both of them, and they are two totally different people, but I could see him being with either one. I even asked Maddie, ‘Is this what happens?’ and she’s like, ‘No, you’re not even close.’ It’s driving me insane because I hate surprises. I don’t think Hannah Brown comes back and that’s just because she was filming Dancing With the Stars. But who knows? As for who Peter’s mother, Barbara, is talking about in that clip we’ve all seen, maybe she’s talking about Maddie since she already met her? But they do the spoilers for a reason. I feel like the producers are trying to sway us one way to distract us.”

Victoria Paul

“I wish I had some sort of idea or inkling on what’s going to happen, but I think I’ll be just as surprised as the rest of the world is. I do think there’s a rose ceremony and a ring. Other than that, I don’t know. The three women that are left are all incredible and each very different. But when I saw him at the ‘Women Tell All’ taping, he looked happy. I wouldn’t be surprised with anything.”

Alayah Benavidez

“I’m seeing different theories and think they all make sense. But the one about Peter being with a Bachelor producer is the most ridiculous one. People are grasping at straws at that point. We see Peter’s connection with Hannah Ann, and we see his connection with Madison. I think it’s one of those two. It obviously doesn’t end in a typical, ‘Will you accept this final rose? Will you marry me?’ way, but I think he’s with Maddie or Hannah Ann. I feel like Peter has a different relationship with Victoria F., and it’s very different from the one he has with Maddie and Hannah Ann. I don’t think a rose ceremony happens on the finale, because of Peter’s reaction to whatever Chris Harrison has to say. There’s no way he just walked into a rose ceremony. I think we don’t even get there.”

Shiann Lewis

“Does he ask anyone? Does he ask someone and they say no, but then he chases after them? Or the contestant chases after him? I truly don’t know. I wait every Monday for a new clip to come out so I can try and put the pieces together. At first I thought Peter’s mother was talking about Hannah Brown in that clip. And then, as the season went on, I thought, Maybe she’s talking about Madison because they had a conversation and there’s tension in the air about everything. Maybe Madison left and they’re like, ‘Bring her back!’ It frustrates me because I want more!”

Lexi Buchanan

“I definitely think he’s with one of the final two, but I don’t know in what capacity. It clearly took a lot to get there and probably wasn’t a very smooth ending. But I think Peter is a really strong person. Even if people want to call him indecisive, he has conviction in his decisions and he’s just trying his best. I’ve watched so many seasons, so how has this one not been spoiled? How does no one know? Maybe the final rose ceremony hasn’t happened? I have no clue.”

Who Will Be the Bachelorette in 2020? The 4 Most Likely Fan Theories


Interestingly, one Reddit theory suggests that The Bachelor producers may have plotted against her for Bachelorette by giving her a “bad edit” in her elimination episode. “The producers noticed that everyone on social media was rooting for Kelley to become the bachelorette, and they obviously don’t want her to be since they can’t control her like the rest,” the user wrote. “So, they decide to give her the worst edit on the last episode so a) people stop rooting for as the bachelorette and b) so Peter doesn’t look like the idiot he is for sending her home.”

Rumors that she wasn’t invited to Women Tell All are reportedly true, according to Reality Steve, which means fans may be onto something

“If you finished 5th & you were popular on the season, & you don’t get invited to WTA, it means they didn’t like her. No other reason,” he said.

Hannah Ann Sluss or Madison Prewett

At this point, it seems highly likely that one of these ladies takes home the final rose (and a Neil Lane engagement ring). It just depends which fan-fueled rumor you find more believable. Some believe recent Instagram comments by Hannah Ann Sluss confirming that she is moving to LA means she gets the final rose, while others think that Peter chooses Madison Prewett. Pick your poison!

Either way, fans seem to be pulling for a Madison-led Bachelorette over Hannah Ann.

Hannah Brown—again

While Chris Harrison is “not against it,” it looks like all hope that Hannah Brown might get a second (third?) chance at finding love through Bachelor Nation. According to a new Instagram post from the official Dancing With the Stars account, the former Bachelorette will be touring with the live show at the same time that The Bachelorette typically films.

Hannah Brown, who won this past season of DWTS, will be now be joining the 2020 tour as a “special guest” from March 24 to 29. The Bachelorette usually starts filming in March. Still, most of these performances are in L.A…perhaps she could do both?

How Will The Bachelor End? Here's Everything Peter Weber Has Said—Plus Fan Theories


So what the hell is going on in Bachelor Nation, and who does Weber end up with: Victoria F., Madison, Hannah Ann, Kelsey, or someone else?

“I promise you my frontrunner did not stop changing until about week four—and whether or how that’s shown, the show does a really good job of entertaining,” Weber added. “But I promise you my frontrunner did not change, and I’ll leave it at that.”

Hmmm…that’s not a lot to go on. Here’s every major fan theory about the season finale. It’s worth noting that none of this is confirmed—it’s all fun speculation. So take it with a grain of salt.

1. Weber falls for Bachelor producer Julie LaPlaca. This Reddit theory is straight-up ripped from UnREAL season one, and I want it to be true so badly. The evidence is mainly from Instagram, regarding a post that suggests Weber and LaPlaca spent New Year’s Eve together with his family.

But hold up: Bachelor spoiler extraordinaire Reality Steve calls the rumor “garbage.” Meanwhile, the ABC producers themselves aren’t completely shutting it down. “Well, I hate to get in the way of a good rumor, so I’m not going to confirm or deny about whether he ends up with a producer, ABC senior vice president Robert Mills told Entertainment Tonight. “I don’t know how we’d ever top that, though! But, it is crazy.”

Madison leaves on her own terms. Based off the new promo, fans think Madison peaces out once she hears Weber slept with another contestant. “If he sleeps with anybody else, it’s going to be hard for me to continue to move forward,” she said. Later in the promo, Weber reveals, “Six days prior, I was intimate with someone else.”

Fans are convinced they parted ways, but that she may have returned later. Madison was recently spotted filming in Alabama, so there’s likely more to the story.

No matter who ends up with Weber’s ring, things aren’t going great since the end of the show. Reddit user @bachelorreddit123 posted a slew of spoilers on The Bachelor subreddit. The biggest piece of gossip is that Weber and his final choice are (allegedly) in a bad place since watching the season go live.

“Peter and [Final 1] are very rocky right now based on how they ended up together, and based on his interactions with the other women that she is now seeing for the first time as they air,” the post claims.

Guess we’ll just have to wait and see if Pilot Pete will right this plane or crash and burn. Ugh, sorry (no, I’m not).

Taylor Swift Fans Already Have So Many Theories About the Official 'Lover' Tracklist


Being a Taylor Swift fan can often feel like working a second job as a private investigator. Swift’s got a, well, reputation for dropping easter eggs in music videos, Instagram posts, and even outfits to clue fans in about her next steps. Her cryptic hints have gone into overdrive during the Lover era, with fans counting palm trees and jacket pins to decode her seventh album—and the list of potential hidden meanings got even longer when Swift released the Lover tracklist.

Swift posted three back-to-back Instagram posts revealing the official tracklist for Lover on Friday, August 16. In a series of posts with her new era’s cotton-candy aesthetic, Swift listed all 18 track titles for the upcoming album, her longest record to date. Naturally, the information embedded in the song titles sent fans spinning—once they could read what the faint title fonts actually said.

Some of the song titles confirmed theories fans have discussed since the first single of the Lover era, “ME!”, dropped in April. “ME!” includes the lyric, “There’s a lot of cool chicks out there.” In the music video, the camera pans to a wall hung with paintings of baby chicks surrounding a painting of iconic country band the Dixie Chicks. Fans took it as a sign that the Dixie Chicks would appear on the album; the Dixie Chicks and Taylor Swift further fueled the fire by sending cryptic tweets to one another after the video premiered.

Twitter's Predicting How 'Game of Thrones' Will End, and the Theories Are So Funny


Warning: Spoilers ahead!

The Game of Thrones finale is quickly approaching—it’s a matter of hours now!—and fans are waiting to see how everything will finally wrap up after eight nail-biting seasons (and that’s to say nothing of last week’s episode, which left everyone in a tizzy). It’s been close to a decade of twists, turns, favorite characters getting killed off, and some extremely convincing fan theories—some of which have gone very wrong.

Now, as everyone eagerly anticipates the start of Sunday’s 80-minute finale, Twitter users are taking to the platform to offer some predictions about how the series will end. Sure, we might now know that Sansa Stark’s fate is going to make us feel all sorts of ways, but Game of Thrones fans are keeping things a little more light-hearted by offering up some really funny predictions.

“Game of Thrones ends with Jon Snow going full Cady Heron and just breaking off pieces of the iron throne to give out to everyone,” a fan predicted.

There was this meta theory: “Game of Thrones finale is gonna end with the screen going black, and then Tony Soprano snapping out of it and finishing his dinner.”

One fan just wants Tormund to live his best life: “The only satisfying conclusion to Game of Thrones is if it ends with a Tormund bottle episode, where he’s up north, just chilling and getting over Brienne, really starting to take care of himself.”

“The finale of Game of Thrones is just one hour of Daenerys trying to rebuild King’s Landing with ramen noodles and sandpaper,” another fan predicted.

Another user is looking out for the dragons: “Spoiler: The dragon gets into her dream college and everyone cheers.”

There’s this pretty ideal ending: “My GOT ending: Brienne and Sansa marry, jointly take the Iron Throne.”

“Game of Thrones ends with Bob Newhart waking up next to Suzanne Pleshette,” one user wrote. “‘Honey you won’t believe the dream I just had,’ he says, launching into a convoluted recollection of rape and dragons that ends with Suzanne asking for a divorce.”

One offered some deadpan British humor: “I reckon I know how Game Of Thrones finishes. It’s with the end credits and some music.”

And then there’s this voice of reason, who offers the most convincing theory of them all: “the writers creating the script for the finale knowing full well they about to fuck everyone up.”
