”Yeah, never again,” he said, before adding that special effects can do the work. “The prosthetics are too good.”

David is equally repelled by the idea of method acting, the process of immersing yourself in a character. He looked back on playing a Scottish King and thinking to himself “‘I’m gonna kill a cat’ or something: ‘I’m gonna go murder something to know what it feels like to murder,” adding, “I didn’t actually do it, obviously.”

He continued, “Not only is that stuff silly, it’s dangerous, and it actually doesn’t produce good work.”

But while social media may paint a picture-perfect life, Sheri’s latest cryptic post may prove that there’s always more than what meets the eye.

”Personal matters being brought public are always challenging and overwhelming for anyone involved,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories on July 7. “I will be okay. My biggest concern is—and always will be—my children and their fragile hearts and minds. I will always do my best to try to protect them.”

Although fans may know Sheri as the supportive parent helping guide Addison’s career, which includes a beauty and fragrance line, the 42-year-old made it clear what her priorities are. ”My goal is to make sure that they feel secure and safe and know that everything will be okay,” she wrote. “Thank you all for the love and support and kind messages. They do.'”

Jimmy wrote in In With the Devil that authorities believe Larry may have killed or kidnapped a young girl when he participated in multiple Civil War reenactments. According to In With the Devil, the dates and locations of the gatherings coincided with disappearances.

Where is Larry DeWayne Hall now?

According to Christopher, the author of Urges who has interviewed Larry, the convict has confessed to kidnapping or killing numerous women, including 20-year-old Laurie Depies, who is still missing. But without bodies or solid evidence, authorities have been unable to convict Larry of murder.

The only conviction that stuck was for the kidnapping of Jessica, for which he’s serving out a life sentence in North Carolina. He couldn’t be reached for comment.

Christopher believes Larry would offer more details about his alleged crimes to investigators if he was granted immunity. “I believe Larry may open up more, now that his mother is gone,” Christopher told True Crime Diary. ”Larry told me he is not the same person he was when he was kidnapping and murdering women and young girls. He says he is sorry for what he has done.”

Who Are the 2020 Bachelorette Contestants? Top Theories About Clare Crawley's Cast

As you very well know by now, Clare Crawley is the new Bachelorette. What you don’t know is what that means for this year’s Bachelorette contestants.

One thing is certain: If Pete Weber’s Bachelor gimmick was his pilot’s license, Crawley’s theme is undoubtedly going to be her age. At 38, she is the oldest Bachelorette in franchise history, directly following Hannah Brown, the youngest at 24 years old. Like Brown, Crawley has been through the Bachelor Nation ringer before: first on Juan Pablo’s season of The Bachelor, then on two seasons of Bachelor in Paradise, followed by a stint on Bachelor: Winter Games.

So, what does this all mean for Crawley’s options? If The Bachelor producers are smart—which you have to admit they are, despite some odd rules and…choices they’ve made lately—they’re going to adjust the group of singles to meet Crawley’s needs and past experiences.

Of Brown’s 30 contestants, 24 were older than her, five were exactly her age, and only one of them was younger at 23 years old. Overall, the average age was 27.

Weber’s crew is quite young. Of his 30 contestants, only one was older than him (at 31), and the youngest women were both 22. The average age came out to about 25. Interesting. With seven 23-year-olds on his roster, it’s no wonder there were so many complaints that the contestants were too young.

That’s likely not how it’s going to go down for Crawley. Here’s everything we know (which at, this point, is mostly speculative) about the 2020 Bachelorette contestants.

Crawley will get to meet some of them soon. Spoiler-in-Chief Reality Steve says that she will be introduced to five of her possible contestants during the second part of Weber’s finale. Perfect timing, if he’s right and filming begins on March 13.

The dudes are definitely going to be older…mostly. Reality Steve also says he has the first scoop on about half of the guys. According to his tweet, their ages are 28, 28, 25, 23, 28, 30, 40, 28, 31, 33, 26, 26, 28, and 28. Still, make sure to take that with a grain of salt. Reality Steve also says some could drop out/get cut before the official bell is rung.

This could be the season of the Daddy According to Reality Steve, there are already at least 4 fathers amongst the cast. Again, take with a grain of salt.

Here Are the Top Halloween Costumes for 2019, According to the Internet

October 31 is a little more than a month away, but we might already have a sense as what the top pop-culture Halloween costumes for 2019 are.

The global fashion search platform Lyst released its annual report predicting what the most popular Halloween costumes are for the year, based on online shopping behavior, social media mentions, and engagement statistics. There are celebrities, viral sensations, and, yes, politics. Ahead, we break down the 10 biggest trends topping this year’s list.

Alex Wroblewski/Getty Images

According to Lyst, there has been a 70% uptick in searches for “the Squad Congresswoman” in the U.S. since the beginning of September. The “Squad,” of course, refers to Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, lhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley. (But let’s all just remember to be culturally sensitive, please.) Over in the UK, with a Brexit deadline looming, page views on clothing, shoes and bags featuring the British flag have increased by 138% since this time last year.

It should not be surprising to see Lizzo on this list, seeing as pretty much nobody in music had a bigger year. In the 24 hours after her performance at the VMAs, there was 717% increase in social media mentions for the singer, Lyst reports. Obviously, you need to bring a flute.

Spring 2020 Pantone Color Trends: Top Shades

As you mourn the end of summer, you can start transitioning to an all-black fall wardrobe. But the fashion industry’s already thinking ahead to spring 2020—and Pantone has revealed its predictions for the biggest color trends of the season. Hint: They’re more wearable than this year’s lime green obsession.

Thinking forward to 2020, you might assume that blue and red would be top on people’s minds. While current events definitely play a role in the colors people gravitate to, according to the Pantone Color Institute, the spring palette reflects a desire for “a sense of the familiar,” and that the top hues “convey a sense of ease.”

In a statement, Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, said: “Combining our desire for stability, creativity, and more spontaneous design approaches, the color palette for spring 2020 infuses heritage and tradition with a colorful youthful update that creates strong multi-colored combinations as well as energizing and optimistic pairings.” That translates to a dozen hues that you’ll see all over the New York Fashion Week runways. But you don’t necessarily have to wait six months to start incorporating it into your wardrobe: Ahead, shop the 12 biggest color trends for spring 2020 before everyone else.

Ashleigh Barty Was On Top of Her Game—Then She Quit

Ashleigh Barty is on top. After dominating the court at the French Open, she outpaced Naomi and Serena and Venus and Sloane to become the number-one female tennis player in the world. But three years ago she wasn’t even in the game.

Barty went pro at 14 and won the Wimbledon junior title at 15—the word prodigy often followed her name. She was quickly anointed as the next great Australian tennis player on her way to GOAT-status when, at 18, she unexpectedly left the game. “As professional tennis players, we are on the road for 30 weeks of the year. It can be tough when you love home as much as I do,” Barty says.

Mark Nolan/Getty Images

Professional athletes, for all their natural abilities, are serious workaholics. After all, to win championships you have to get into the office early and stay late. Every damn day. Given that she’d spent her teens as a perfectionist in a high-stress job, it’s no wonder Barty was burned out and wrestling with depression. So she quit.

In her time away from tennis, Barty sought treatment for depression and casually took up another pro sport: cricket. Refreshed after an 18-month break, she returned to the court, resuming her rise in the ranks and eventually earning a Grand Slam title and the number-one spot earlier this year. Had she not stepped away from tennis to take care of her mental health, there’s no way she’d be here, she told the New York Times. “It’s obviously a part of my life that I needed to deal with, and I feel like it was the best decision that I made at the time,” she said. “It was an even better one to come back.”

In being so open about her decision to step away, Barty has become a new kind of role model in sports—one who proves it’s not all about a breakneck rush to be the best. Now “it is all about balance for me,” Barty says. “I try to get home to Queensland whenever I can to see my family and friends—this is the most important thing for me.”

As much as her Grand Slam titles or her rankings, that will be part of Ashleigh Barty’s legacy. “I hope my legacy,” she says, “is to be remembered as someone who remained true to herself.”
