Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse are Vacationing Together in Hawaii Right Now


Lili Reinhart has been posting up a storm about her gorgeous New Year’s Eve vacation in Hawaii. “Everywhere in Hawaii is a real life Windows desktop,” she wrote on Instagram alongside a stunning island photo. “I’m a basic bitch, and I’m never leaving Hawaii,” she also posted on Instagram Stories earlier while nestling a delicious-looking fruity beverage. The trip looks picturesque, to say the least—a perfect place to get some R&R before returning to frigid Vancouver for Riverdale filming.

But it turns out Reinhart isn’t alone on her trip. Reports surfaced a few days ago that Cole Sprouse, Reinhart’s Riverdale co-star and maybe-probably boyfriend, was on vacation with her—and now these fan photos prove it. Yes, “Bughead” shippers, Sprouse and Reinhart spent New Year’s Eve together, and it looks like they had a blast.

Check out this Snapchat, below, in which a fan gawks at Reinhart and Sprouse, who are casually sitting outside a restaurant.

And here’s a slew of selfies the twosome took with fans while on the island.

Finally, a sweet shot of Reinhart and Sprouse posing with a fan in front of some stunning Hawaiian scenery.

Of course, there’s always the possibility Reinhart and Sprouse aren’t actually dating and this was just a platonic friends’ getaway. Unfortunately, it looks like neither of them will tell us one way or the other because both have remained pretty tight-lipped about their relationship. In fact, Reinhart went on a mini Tumblr rant a few months back about how she’s over people “shipping” her and her co-stars.

“It’s horrifying how invested some people are in my love life. Emphasis on ‘my.’ It is mine. It is private,” she wrote. “If a stranger’s love life is causing you anger, frustration or anxiety…please reevaluate your priorities.”

Oh well, at least we have these cute photos to keep us warm.

Cole Sprouse Was Finally Asked, Point-Blank, If He's Dating Lili Reinhart


At this point it’s pretty obvious that Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart are more than just friends. Granted, the young Riverdale stars haven’t confirmed anything, but the signs are there. They’re always posting cute photos of each other on social media, they wear each other’s clothes, and they have secretly held hands in public on more than one occasion. I’m willing to bet my framed photo of KJ Apa that these two are an item. OK, so I don’t actually have a framed photo of KJ Apa, but you get my point: Bughead exists IRL (probably).

That being said, no one’s ever asked Reinhart and Sprouse if they’re dating—not directly, at least. Sure, they’ve been thrown softball questions about their personal lives in a general sense—and their answers were deceptively vague—but no one’s come out and asked, point blank, “Are you dating each other?”

Until now. In a new interview with People magazine, Sprouse addresses the rumors head on. He had a simple but telling response when asked about his relationship with Reinhart:: “No comment.”

“Whether you dismiss those rumors or whether you encourage those rumors, it’s giving people who are in my opinion are a bit entitled to your personal life more power, and you have to have spaces for reverence in the industry,” he said. “The more you let people in on that, the more people feel entitled to it and the more it becomes problematic with whoever you end up being with in the future, so I take that very seriously. So I just never talk about it because it’s not anyone’s right to know. People can speculate all they want, people speculate about me with every member of the cast practically, but it’s really no one’s right to know.”

Sprouse is right, of course; his personal life is his own business, and he’s not obligated to share anything. Unfortunately, it looks like fans who want a confirmation will be waiting a long time.

Cole Sprouse Says It's 'Sexier' to Keep His Relationships Private


It’s been pretty mum when it comes to sweeping public declarations of love from Riverdale‘s favorite rumored off-screen couple, Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart. Sure, there are the soulful photoshoots, the low-key hand-holding, the wearing of each other’s clothes in public. The signs of a very intimate friendship and/or blossoming young love are there! But so far, we’ve received no confirmation—and no denial—from the two of them, save for a joke from Reinhard about how all the Riverdale kissing scenes with Sprouse are “comfortable”. Indeed, as my imaginary great aunt would say, pursing her lips at the thought of a secretive off-screen romance (yes, my imaginary great aunt is Maggie Smith).

Speaking of spilling tea, Sprouse recently opened up about his relationship with Reinhart. In a People article detailing his “sexy confessions,” he said some not-so-sexy things about his relationship with his co-star. Not that they’re bad things, just—wow, this guy is a pro at not saying things while also saying things! But…but…are all these little hints (see above list!) just a projection of our own shipping?

“Lili and I are constantly talked about in the public eye, and for me I think that it is being deeply informed by the love of the characters and wanting to see us together,” he told People. “I think that in many ways it’s offensive and an invasion of privacy, but it’s also a badge of honor because it means you’re creating a chemistry onscreen that is so understandable that people want to see it in real life, which is flattering from a professional perspective.”

Apparently he was then directly asked about his relationship with Reinhart, and…do you see this coming?

“No comment,” he told People. “Because whether you dismiss those rumors or whether you encourage those rumors, it’s giving people who are in my opinion are a bit entitled to your personal life more power, and you have to have spaces for reverence in the industry. Going to college made me realize you have to have real spaces of privacy and you have to establish those early. [Ryan] Gosling is a perfect example. Gosling has been in a much more sexual or romantic side of the industry than many actors have to be, and his marriage is not publicized and talked about and beaten over people’s heads because people respect that he set those boundaries early.”

True. Ryan Gosling does have a cult of mystery around him.

“And that’s the same thing,” Sprouse continued. “The more you let people in on that, the more people feel entitled to it, and the more it becomes problematic with whoever you end up being with in the future, so I take that very seriously. So I just never talk about it because it’s not anyone’s right to know. People can speculate all they want—people speculate about me with every member of the cast practically—but it’s really no one’s right to know. It’s also sexy, these parts of the relationships that are just yours.”

We’re sorry, Sprouse. We ship often. We ship hard. We will try to tone it down.

People Are Swooning Over These Pics 'Riverdale' Actor Cole Sprouse Apparently Took of Lili Reinhart


We’ve evolved from humans who want partners with enough aim to bring down a sabertooth tiger to those who simply want Instagram husbands—real or honorary, and not necessarily men—to snap a picture that makes us look incredible. It’s really not too much to ask: point and click. And filter. And edit. (Like, a little easier on the contrast, maybe?) One so-called “Instagram boyfriend” (quotes because it’s not confirmed!) who seems to have it down is Riverdale‘s own Cole Sprouse, who is apparently taking beautiful photographs of co-star Lili Reinhart. People think that a slew of photos the two have posted are Sprouse originals, and there’s plenty of evidence that points to it.

The photos shared from Reinhart’s account have Sprouse tagged in them, which is why people think he took them—though that hasn’t been explicitly verified. Still, we’ll just admire them as the works of portrait art that they are, whether they’re in arty black and white or (faux?) candid shots of Reinhart checking her appearance in the mirror.

Should these indeed be his, Sprouse is clearly talented at photography—and it seems rather likely these are his: last week, he posted a cover of L’Uomo Vogue that has his work on the cover—and in a beautiful spread featuring Sam Smith (that’s right; this 25-year-old prodigy is landing Vogue covers). Also, his Instagram feed is basically an online art gallery of his other photos.

Not too shabby, Sprouse—we can’t wait to see what other work you create. Between his beind-the-camera talents and Reinhart’s Halloween makeup skills, we are low-key excited for any seasonal photoshoots that may or may not take place in the coming weeks.

Lili Reinhart Says Filming Kissing Scenes With Cole Sprouse Is 'Comfortable'


Riverdale co-stars Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse are keeping their off-screen relationship hush-hush, but what they do on screen is more than public knowledge. Their characters, Betty Cooper and Jughead Jones, are an item on Riverdale, and show-runners have been hinting for months that trouble’s ahead for them. For now, though, they’re still pretty lovey-dovey. Granted, they haven’t turned the heat up quite like Archie and Veronica have (um, that shower scene?), but they do kiss on the show—often. And two weeks ago Betty implied to her mother she and Jughead almost had sex, so it’s safe to say there’s still a ton of passion between them.

That passion, according to Reinhart, isn’t uncomfortable to shoot, either. In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, the young actress reveals the Riverdale core four have no qualms about kissing each other on screen.

“I think we’re all so comfortable with one another that it’s not even really a thing,” she said. “If we have a kissing scene, it’s fine. We don’t really think twice about it. When new characters have to kiss, it’s a little different and you’re like, ‘Oh, OK! What this?’ But it’s easy, we’re all friends. It would be more nerve-wracking if you had to make out with someone that you didn’t know. So if by chance we do end up having to kiss each other, it’s fine and it doesn’t feel weird.”

Notice how Reinhart strategically says the word “friends.” She makes no indication that she and Sprouse are more than that. When asked about him, all Reinhart said was, “We get along quite well. We’re doing good.” Ugh, all these evasive responses.

Of course, Reinhart doesn’t have to say anything about her relationship with Sprouse, but all this kissing talk will definitely drive their fans nuts. At this rate, we may never know what’s happening between. Hey, at least we’ll always have Bughead.

Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse Shared a Cute Moment on 'The Tonight Show'


Rumors have been swirling for a while now that Riverdale stars Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse are dating IRL. The evidence to support this theory is thin, but it certainly exists. There was the time the two were caught holding hands during a Comic-Con interview. Plus, they’ve each written gushy posts about the other on social media, and the non-response response Sprouse gave a few weeks ago about the rumor added even more fuel to the fire. Of course, we won’t know anything for sure until Sprouse and Reinhart confirm (or deny) themselves, but that’s not stopping fans from psychoanalyzing their interactions like detectives.

And the latest moment between Reinhart and Sprouse has fans particularly hot and bothered. It happened last night on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Sprouse and Reinhart were noticeably kept apart during the entire taping. They didn’t sit next to each other during the cast interview—which also featured KJ Apa, Camila Mendes, and Madelaine Petsch—or during any of the activities Fallon had them do.

However, a fan account caught the two of them having a slight—and we mean slight—interaction. After the cast finished playing a round of Fallon’s game “Search Party,” which is essentially Family Feud, it looks like Sprouse walks over and embraces Reinhart—but it cuts to commercial before we get visual confirmation. Notice Reinhart’s body language, though; she arches her body back in Sprouse’s direction, as if she’s anticipating the embrace. Check it out for yourself, below:

Ugh, why did the commercial have to come at that exact moment? Had the camera stayed on them for literally two more seconds, we’d be able to put this rumor to rest once and for all.

But, honestly, it’ll be a bummer if or when that time comes. At this point, playfully obsessing over Reinhart and Sprouse’s relationship is half the fun of being a Riverdale fan.
