Keanu Reeves Is Everyone's Favorite Actor

In a recent interview, Keanu Reeves reportedly revealed he’s a “lonely guy.” “I don’t have anyone in my life,” he adds, “but if it does occur, I would respect and love the other person. Hopefully it’ll happen for me.”

The story quickly went viral because, duh. Keanu Reeves, a national and cinematic treasure, is lonely? If that’s true I volunteer as tribute to keep him company. I’d cook Alison Roman’s spicy chickpea stew while we heart-to-heart about, like, where our souls go when we die. We’d have a really nice time, I think.

Others on social media feel the same way:

It’s heartbreaking to think Reeves is lonely because, like Tom Hanks and Chris Evans, he’s on a very short list of universally beloved men. There are multiple articles with the headline “Proof That Keanu Reeves Is the Nicest Guy in Hollywood” which is enough proof for me that he’s the nicest guy in Hollywood. His work is so iconic that a hip NYC theater is hosting a retrospective on his films this summer; in April, Glasgow, Scotland threw a KeanuCon festival. Even Sandy Bullock, literally Miss Congeniality, has a crush on him.

The good news: His rep told Huffington Post the interview was “fabricated.” Thank God Reeves is doing just fine, but the moment did lead to a discussion on social media—and among the Glamour team—about his allure. When I dropped the article into Slack, a conversation about our favorite things about Reeves quickly took off.

Khaliha Hawkins pointed to a lesser-known Reeves film, 1995’s A Walk in the Clouds, as proof of his versatility as an actor. “Keanu is known for his action roles, but he’s always been a rom-com star in my mind,” she explained. “A Walk in the Clouds is full of drama and rom-com tropes, so, this movie has it all.”

Samantha Leach said she keeps seeing nostalgic photos of Reeves in her Instagram feed, to her delight. “If you’re deep down the rabbit hole of ’90s nostalgia Instagram like I am, photos of Keanu Reeves and River Phoenix around the time of My Own Private Idaho pop up a lot,” she told me. “The smolder that guy gives off as a ’90s indie star is unreal, like, c’mon. More important, whenever he’s pictured with River Phoenix he looks so protective of him. River was struggling with addiction by that point and with every pose Keanu looks like he’s trying to convey, “Let me save you, River” through his eyes. It’s how much he cares that truly makes him sexy.”

For Kim Fusaro, the love for Reeves started early and hasn’t wavered. “I saw Keanu in Point Break in the theater because my friend’s mom escorted us, two pre-teens, to the counter and cleared us for tickets. It was my first in-the-theater rated R movie,” she said. “A decade later I went with the same friend to see Keanu’s band, Dogstar, at a shitty Providence, R.I., bar, another venue that we definitely weren’t old enough to be in. He was worth bending the rules and breaking the law for.”

I didn’t know Reeves has a band, but that only adds to my love for him. That surprising side of Reeves is what Christopher Rosa likes, too. “He’s a great actor—and so, so hot—but my love for him is rooted in something else entirely: conspiracy theories,” Rosa said. “There are so many wild rumors about Reeves on the Internet, and they’re either all true or all complete B.S. Like this one about how he paid for a stranger’s kidney transplant. Or when everyone was convinced he saved dozens of cats from euthanasia. And there’s the old folklore that he drives a Honda and lives in a normal apartment despite having millions. We do know he takes the subway, so perhaps that last one is true. Regardless, the Internet is out here posting theories about him like he’s a Game of Thrones character, and I’m here for it.”

Jenna Dewan Is Reportedly Dating Broadway Actor Steve Kazee

A few weeks ago, news broke that Jenna Dewan was casually dating someone, and now we reportedly know who that someone is: Broadway actor Steve Kazee. A source tells People magazine that Dewan and Kazee have been “dating for a couple [of] months” and that she’s “really happy.”

Kazee is perhaps best known for his role on the hit Broadway musical Once, for which he won a Tony Award in 2012. He’s also appeared on TV shows like Nashville and Shameless, and sang “A Thousand Years” for the The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2 soundtrack. Dewan is a dancer herself, so it’s very possible a reason these two connected was their mutual love for music.

A friend of Dewan’s posted a photo of both her, Kazee, and a group of their friends hanging out at a Los Angeles Haunted Hayride exhibition. In the pic, it appears Kazee has his arm wrapped around Dewan’s waist:

This news is coming on the heels of Dewan officially filing for divorce from Channing Tatum, who’s reportedly dating pop singer Jessie J. That (maybe) union set the Internet ablaze just a few weeks ago.

“We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple,” Dewan and Tatum said in a joint statement several months ago announcing their split. “We fell deeply in love so many years ago and have had a magical journey together. Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now. There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision — just two best-friends realizing it’s time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible.”

Rebel Wilson Says She Was Sexually Harassed By a Famous Actor

In the wake of the Harvey Weinstein allegations, women have stepped forward to share their stories of sexual misconduct, harassment, and assault at the hands of some of Hollywood’s most influential men. Now, actress and comedian Rebel Wilson is speaking out about her #MeToo experience. On Saturday morning, Wilson posted a series of tweets detailing two incidents of sexual harassment. In her allegations, Wilson didn’t name names, but the stories she recounted were harrowing.

“I’ve been away in a ‘bubble’ of sorts creating new comedy overseas but it’s so hard to hear all these stories relating to sexual harassment and assault in Hollywood,” she began. “As you guys know, I’m a pretty strong and confident person but even I have a story to tell.”

The first incident, she says, involved a “male star in a position of power” who tried to coerce to put her finger “up his ass” while some of his friends filmed. After repeatedly telling him no and reporting him to the studio, she says she later received a call back from studio reps asking her to “be nice and support” the actor in his career—which speaks to the potential professional repercussions of being a woman who calls out sexual misconduct. She declined and has since told the story to others in the industry through the whisper network to warn them.

Then she went on to detail the other incident, involving a meeting in a hotel room with a “top director” in Hollywood. When she arrived, however, his wife called and started yelling at him for sleeping with actresses. Wilson overheard and was able to run out of the room before anything happened.

“I feel lucky that I grew up in a pro-female environment, going to an all-girls high school, and that I have such a strong sense of self and have taken self-defense classes,” she added. (It’s important to point out, however, that a strong sense of self has no correlation to whether you can be a victim of sexual harassment or assault.)

Wilson continued on a sobering note: “I had the ability to escape both incidents. I realize not everyone is as lucky.”

She ended her tweets by saying what she’ll be doing going forward—should she ever find herself in a similar situation again. “I know, moving forward, that if I witness this behavior, whether it happens to me or someone I know, I will no longer be POLITE,” she ended her tweets. “Interpret that as you will.”

People Are Swooning Over These Pics 'Riverdale' Actor Cole Sprouse Apparently Took of Lili Reinhart

We’ve evolved from humans who want partners with enough aim to bring down a sabertooth tiger to those who simply want Instagram husbands—real or honorary, and not necessarily men—to snap a picture that makes us look incredible. It’s really not too much to ask: point and click. And filter. And edit. (Like, a little easier on the contrast, maybe?) One so-called “Instagram boyfriend” (quotes because it’s not confirmed!) who seems to have it down is Riverdale‘s own Cole Sprouse, who is apparently taking beautiful photographs of co-star Lili Reinhart. People think that a slew of photos the two have posted are Sprouse originals, and there’s plenty of evidence that points to it.

The photos shared from Reinhart’s account have Sprouse tagged in them, which is why people think he took them—though that hasn’t been explicitly verified. Still, we’ll just admire them as the works of portrait art that they are, whether they’re in arty black and white or (faux?) candid shots of Reinhart checking her appearance in the mirror.

Check out this gorgeous photo, which looks like it was captured as Reinhart was getting ready to head out for the night:

And then there’s this ~ moody ~ rooftop sequence involving a fire escape and a beautiful black dress that we would definitely add to cart:

Sprouse also shared one of his own pics of her, in which she looks like an actual Renaissance angel:

Should these indeed be his, Sprouse is clearly talented at photography—and it seems rather likely these are his: last week, he posted a cover of L’Uomo Vogue that has his work on the cover—and in a beautiful spread featuring Sam Smith (that’s right; this 25-year-old prodigy is landing Vogue covers). Also, his Instagram feed is basically an online art gallery of his other photos.

Not too shabby, Sprouse—we can’t wait to see what other work you create. Between his beind-the-camera talents and Reinhart’s Halloween makeup skills, we are low-key excited for any seasonal photoshoots that may or may not take place in the coming weeks.
