Kourtney Kardashian Won't Apologize for Kissing Her Kids on the Lips

Kourtney Kardashian has faced the ire of internet mommy-shamers many times, and she’s always taken it in stride—usually opting to say nothing at all. “Once in a while, I may respond to a negative comment for fun, or if something really does bother me, I definitely have the platform to correct it…but I usually don’t think twice,” she told Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s Rose Inc. in a recent interview. “No matter what it is that I am doing, someone has something to say, good or bad.”

She continued, “The worst, though, is when people I don’t know give unsolicited parenting advice. No one knows my kids better than me, I’ve got this, I’m good, thanks.”

One piece of unsolicited parenting advice she rejects wholeheartedly? That she shouldn’t kiss her three children—Reign, 5; Mason, 10; and Penelope, 7—on the lips. When asked by Rose Inc. what the one thing is she’ll never apologize for, Kardashian said, “Kissing my kids on the lips.”

Kardashian is far from the only celebrity who’s received criticism for this (perfectly harmless) display of affection. In 2016, Hilary Duff shut down trolls who dragged her for kissing her son, Luca, on the lips at Disneyland. “For anyone commenting that a kiss on the lips with my 4-year-old is ‘inapprorpiate,’ go ahead and click a quick ‘unfollow’ with your warped minds and judgment,” she wrote at the time.

Kourtney Kardashian has been incredibly open about her life as mother. She told Harper’s Bazaar in 2015 that the best part of being a parent is “watching your kids grow every day—watching all the little moments.”

“I actually think my favorite part is that you relive your own childhood—going to Disneyland and watching all the movies I watched when I was a kid,” she added. “I have so many of the books we read when we were little—so reading all the same books again. It’s really fun—you almost get to be a kid again and do all those magical things.”

Selena Gomez: Kissing Dylan Sprouse Was ‘One of the Worst Days of My Life’

As far as first kisses go, it sounds like Selena Gomez‘s was pretty darn awkward. Of course, that moment is stressful for just about everyone, but can you imagine it happening on the set of a TV show in front of the entire crew…and possibly your actual crush?

That’s what Gomez had to deal with. During a visit to The Kelly Clarkson Show, she revealed details about this defining moment in her life, even though it wasn’t exactly her favorite memory. The year was 2006 and Gomez had a guest-starring role on Disney’s hit show The Suite Life of Zach & Cody, starring twins Dylan and Cole Sprouse. Obviously, this was before she starred in Wizards of Waverly Place.

First and foremost, she actually had a huge crush on Dylan’s twin brother Cole, who she would not be kissing. “I was obsessed with that show, and I thought we were going to be together,“ she said of the Sprouse now known for his role as Jughead Jones on The CW’s Riverdale. This is not new information. Back in September, Gomez posted an Instagram about her 11-year-old affections. “Apparently my heart was very conflicted between Juan and Cole Sprouse when I was 11,” she wrote.

“Always Juan-upping me,” Cole replied to the post at the time. Reader, we do not know who this Juan boy is. Apologies.

But back to that fateful day in 2006. For episode “A Midsummer’s Nightmare,” Gomez had to kiss Dylan on set and it did not go well. “It was my first kiss — [and] on-camera! It was one of the worst days of my life!“ she said to Clarkson.

Gomez has described this kiss before. “I actually leaned in to kiss him, and I had my eyes closed a little too early and I ended up missing, like, half of his lips,“ she previously told Twist Magazine, according to MTV. “So it ended up being the most awkward kiss in the world…I was 12, so it was okay and it was good. Thank goodness he is such an awesome guy!”

Luckily, Dylan is now dating supermodel Barbara Palvin and working on a number of projects, Cole is dating Lili Reinhart, and Selena Gomez is, well, Selena Gomez. It seems like it all worked out just fine for everyone…except for maybe Juan.

Liam Hemsworth Was Photographed Kissing Rumored New Girlfriend Gabriella Brooks

It appears that Liam Hemsworth has officially moved on from Miley Cyrus. The Isn’t It Romantic actor was photographed kissing his rumored new girlfriend, model Gabriella Brooks, at a beach in Australia. New Idea has the photos, which you can look at here.

This is the second woman Hemsworth has been linked to since he and Cyrus confirmed their split in August 2019. In October he was seen out and about with Dynasty actor Maddison Brown, but a source told Us Weekly in December the couple wasn’t serious: “Liam and Maddison weren’t that serious and were mainly having fun together.”

But his situation with Brooks seems to be different. In December she had lunch with Hemsworth’s parents, who reportedly give the relationship a thumbs-up. “Liam feels comfortable with Gabriella,” the source also told Us. “His family approves of her and really likes her, which is very important to him.”

So here’s what we know about Brooks so far: Like we said, she’s a model from Sydney, with nearly 190,000 Instagram followers. She dated Matthew Healy from The 1975 for four years (though they broke up this past fall, according to Cosmopolitan).

And her Instagram is full of enviable scenic shots. Here are a few from Byron Bay, which is where she reportedly had lunch with Hemsworth’s parents.

Liam hasn’t publicly discussed his breakup with Cyrus since August, when he wrote this brief message on Instagram: “Hi all. Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward. This is a private matter and I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets. Any reported quotes attributed to me are false. Peace and Love.”

Shortly after their breakup, Cyrus was linked to Kaitlynn Carter. She’s now dating Australian singer Cody Simpson.

Hallmark Apologizes After Backlash for Pulling an Ad That Featured Two Brides Kissing

This past weekend, there was a lot of controversy around the Hallmark Channel—right in the middle of the network’s jam-packed “Countdown to Christmas” season.

In case you missed it, here’s what went down. Zola, a wedding planning website, aired a number of ads on the channel including some that featured same-sex couples. The conservative group One Million Moms took issue with a particular ad featuring two brides (briefly) kissing and started a petition to have it removed. “The Hallmark Channel has always been known for its family friendly movies. Even its commercials are usually safe for family viewing. But unfortunately, that is not the case anymore,” the petition reads. “Recently, One Million Moms received concerns about Hallmark airing a commercial from Zola.com in which two lesbians are shown kissing at the end of their wedding ceremony. Similar concerns from regular viewers are posted on an online complaint board for the Hallmark Channel.”

Initially, Hallmark decided to pull four of the six ads from the Zola campaign. “The decision not to air overt public displays of affection in our sponsored advertisement, regardless of the participants, is in line with our current policy, which includes not featuring political advertisements, offensive language, R-rated movie content and many other categories,” a Hallmark spokesman told the New York Times on Friday, December 13. However, one ad that featured a bride and groom kissing was not pulled.

The online backlash to this was swift.

Now, Hallmark reps have announced that the network is reversing the decision. “We are truly sorry for the hurt and disappointment this has caused,” Hallmark CEO Mike Perry said in a statement. “Across our brand, we will continue to look for ways to be more inclusive and celebrate our differences.” He also said “Hallmark Channel will be reaching out to Zola to reestablish our partnership and reinstate the commercials.”

Miley Cyrus Was Reportedly Spotted Kissing Singer Cody Simpson in Los Angeles

If you’re having trouble keeping up with all the rumors surrounding Miley Cyrus’s love life, you’re not alone.

To recap: Cyrus and her husband, Liam Hemsworth, surprised the world earlier this summer when they announced they were splitting after less than a year of marriage (but 10 years together.) The singer was then linked to Kaitlynn Carter (a star on The Hills: New Beginnings and Brody Jenner’s ex). The two were spotted together in Italy, at the VMAs, and around Los Angeles, where they were allegedly living together. They reportedly broke up in September. “Miley doesn’t want a serious relationship,” a source told People at the time. “She and Kaitlynn spent every day together, and it just wasn’t anything that Miley wanted to continue doing…She wants to focus on her career.”

Now, a new twist. TMZ cameras captured Cyrus and Australian singer Cody Simpson while out in Los Angeles. “We’re told the two appeared to be having a pretty serious conversation before Miley moved over to sit on his lap, and before long their PDA escalated to a make-out session,” TMZ wrote in its article. In the video posted by TMZ, it appears to be more than just a quick friendly smooch, but who knows? The two have been friends for a while.

In a 2015 interview with GQ, Simpson talked about their friendship. “Miley is one of my best friends and she helps with some of that transitional stuff – trying to escape your childhood,” he said. “She’s super open-minded, and I’m working on becoming more like that.”

E! reports that there have been other sightings of the two around L.A. recently, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re anything more than friends, either. The one thing we can be sure of with Miley Cyrus is that we can never be sure of anything.

Watch Kit Harington Gag After Kissing Emilia Clarke on the ‘Game of Thrones’ Set

One of the most talked-about moments from the Game of Thrones season premiere happened when Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) shared a gushy waterfall kiss. Onscreen it looked like a romantic break from the Seven Kingdom’s drama, but now an outtake video shows that the whole thing was way, way sillier when it was being shot. Like, Harrington-pretend-gagging-after-kissing-Clarke sillier.

The scene happens in a lengthy behind-the-scenes look at the season-eight premiere that HBO posted on YouTube. In it, the show’s production team explains that they wanted to do something epic after Jon and Dany enjoyed a magical dragon ride together. So they decided to digitally add a striking waterfall to the scenery, as one does. Because of that, the actors had to kiss in front of a green screen—which is when Harington decided to joke around by gagging and groaning after making out with Clarke. It starts around the 13:38 mark:

Luckily, she didn’t seem too offended—and both of them have talked about their close-knit friendship, even though they admit it’s weird to play lovers (or, you know, aunt and nephew). “Emilia and I had been best friends over a seven-year period and by the time we had to kiss it seemed really odd,” Harington told the Daily Mirror.

Jokes aside, Harington seemed genuinely excited to get to show Clarke some of Iceland for the scene, where he’s had to do most of his work on location as a member of the Night’s Watch protecting the Wall. “I just love I could go there with Emilia,” he says in the video. “I got to show this thing that’s been such a large part of the Thrones world for me. I got to show her Iceland.”

Clarke, meanwhile, was less enthused. “This fire lady dragon mama is not used to the cold,” she jokes.
