Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas's Quarantine Life Sounds More Fun Than an Actual Party

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are doing the right thing at the moment and staying home amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. But that doesn’t mean they’re not having loads of fun.

Turner joined Conan O’Brien on his late night show (virtually, natch) and let the world in on what life is like at the Turner-Jonas household. Turner, for one, is “kind of loving” being at home all day. “I’m an introvert, I’m a homebody,” she said. “If I could stay at home all day I would, so this is great for me. I leave my house like once a day to walk my dogs, and then that’s it.”

While she realizes it might be harder for some people to practice social distancing she said, “All you have to do is stay at home and get drunk at home.” When O’Brien replied that he hadn’t heard Dr. Anthony Fauci recommend that path during his press briefings, Turner joked, “Yeah, but you know he’s thinking it. You know he’s doing the same thing.”

She also showed off her sweatpants, paired with a lovely green sweater—a stark change from how stars usually dress for their talk show appearances. “I’m business on top, party on the bottom,” she said.

But what really sounds fun is the club Turner and Jonas seem to be running from their home. Turner says her husband has taken up performing DJ sets filled with 80s music, and she serves as the bartender. “He’s started doing that really, really loudly when I’m trying to read my scripts. He’s DJing at home,” Turner said. “But it’s fun! I pour him his drinks. I pour him his alcohol. I give him tequila shots. He’ll text me and be like, ‘What time is it?’ I’ll reply from the kitchen, ‘Shot time,’ and bring him a shot of tequila.”

“There’s no rules in quarantine,” she added. “It’s fun.”

We love the sound of that motto, as long as it’s all going down in a socially distanced and safe way.

Kate Middleton's 37th Birthday Celebration Sounds Refreshingly Normal

Kate Middleton and her glorious royal hair turn 37 years old today (January 9). But how exactly do you celebrate when you’re the Duchess of Cambridge? Well, pretty low-key, actually.

“Kate’s not into big birthday celebrations, but George and Charlotte adore birthday cake, so there will be a special tea party at the palace with candles and presents,” a source told Vanity Fair. Middleton is reportedly spending her big day home at Kensington Palace after doing school drop-offs and pickups for her two older children, which sounds like the most normal birthday ever.

Of course, unlike the rest of us, Middleton received public birthday wishes from all the official royal accounts, including the queen’s. “Happy Birthday to HRH The Duchess of Cambridge!” the post read. “The duchess undertakes royal duties in support of the queen, both in the U.K. and overseas—and devotes her time to supporting charitable causes and organizations, several of which are centered around providing children with the best possible start in life.”

Prince William has an official engagement today for the thirtieth anniversary of London’s Air Ambulance but will be home in time to celebrate with Kate and the kids, according to Vanity Fair.

And he’s not coming home empty-handed. Some of the children at Prince William’s event brought along cards and gifts for him to take home to Middleton. “Well, thank you for remembering,” he said, according to The Daily Mail. “I did actually remember this morning, so I was OK.”

Here’s the big question: What do we think Prince William gives Kate Middleton for her birthday? I can’t imagine they do joke gifts, as is reportedly the royal Christmas tradition. So perhaps a new bespoke headband, along with an amazing piece of jewelry from Princess Diana’s collection? That sounds like the perfect combination.

Happy birthday, Kate!

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher's Honeymoon Sounds Like a Nightmare

Maybe stars really are “just like us.” At least, that’s true for Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher when it comes to their travel woes. Case in point: Their plans for a grand, romantic honeymoon got completely derailed thanks to a pair of in-laws, a 10-month-old baby, and a never-ending stream of RV troubles.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show this week, Kunis told host Jimmy Fallon a condensed version of the hilariously disastrous RV trip she and Kutcher took across California shortly after they tied the knot in July 2015. “If you’ve ever seen the National Lampoon movies, our honeymoon was like a real-life National Lampoon‘s honeymoon. I’m not exaggerating. I’m not saying it for a laugh. We also went honeymooning with my in-laws,” she said, admitting that it all began with her making a “boo-boo” by giving Kutcher a gift card to an RV rental service—”not thinking that my husband’s gonna go, ‘Oh! That’s our honeymoon!'”

Alas, he did, so they set off in a “tin can on wheels” with their then-10-month-old daughter Wyatt and Kutcher’s parents following them in “the Taj Mahal of RVs.” To start, just eight hours into the trip, the air conditioner in Kunis and Kutcher’s RV broke—in the middle of the 110-degree California desert—and then, on the way to get it fixed, the whole family had to get out and walk three miles after Apple Maps navigated them onto an unsafe, unpaved road.

The trouble didn’t end there, though: “My wonderful, beautiful mother-in-law picked the RV parks that we were staying in, but she didn’t use the Internet. She used books,” Kunis said. “She was like, ‘We’ll end in Napa, it’ll be beautiful!’ I was like, ‘You know what? What could go wrong?’ Let me tell you: an RV park not in Napa, but an hour outside of Napa, with two prisons.” She added, “My husband looked at me and goes, ‘I quit,’ and I was like, ‘Me too.'”

Somehow, though, that road trip from hell didn’t put Kunis completely off the idea of RV-ing. When Fallon asked whether she’d ever let Kutcher rent an RV again, she immediately, genuinely responded, “Yeah, absolutely! It was fantastic.” Sounds like the Bad Moms star has a different definition of “fantastic” than the rest of us.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's First Big Trip Abroad Sounds So Fun

Newlyweds Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will travel to Dublin next month, their first international trip together since their honeymoon. Kensington Palace confirmed on Tuesday (June 19) that the trip will take place on July 10 and 11 and that “this visit is at the request of Her Majesty’s Government.” Vanity Fair is reporting this trip will serve as a “mini-moon” of sorts for the couple.

“The Duke and Duchess are looking forward to learning more about Ireland’s history and experiencing its rich culture, as well as meeting the people who are shaping the country’s future,” Kensington Palace said in a statement. “Full details of the visit will be announced in due course.”

Even though Markle has only just joined the royal family officially, she’s no stranger to Ireland. The Duchess of Sussex visited Northern Ireland with Prince Harry recently with a trip to Belfast as a part of the couple’s tour of the U.K. in advance of their May 19 wedding. She also visited the country before Kensington Palace was even a part of her life: According to People, Markle traveled to Dublin to accept an award from Trinity College in 2013 and was even spotted expertly pouring a pint of Guinness on that trip.

Details of their visit have not yet been announced, but a trip to the Guinness Storehouse, which details the brewing process and history of Dublin’s most notorious beverage, is on the table, People reports.

Markle and Prince Harry will also travel to Australia, Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga, and New Zealand later this year in their first royal tour as a married couple. Markle will also be joining her husband at the Invictus Games in Sydney, which take place from October 20 through 27, and the tour will likely take place near those dates. The 2018 Games will mark the fifth year of Prince Harry’s competitive sporting event for wounded veterans, but the first year he’ll be traveling to the event as a married man.

How to Feel Way More Comfortable Making Sex Sounds During, Um, Sex

Hi Emily,

This has always been a huge insecurity of mine: moaning and noises during sex. The only sound I make is if my breathing picks up naturally.

I never moan during sex and try my hardest to let out a noise when I orgasm, but it just feels so forced and fake to me. I’m so focused the whole time that if I think about it, I just end up feeling insecure. My long-term boyfriend has always told me he doesn’t care that I don’t, but do guys really mind pretty much silent sex?

What are your thoughts?

Hailey, 24
New York

Hi Hailey,

While it might not feel natural to you, making noise during sex can actually be super beneficial to your overall sexual experience. Think about it this way: No sound during sex is almost like watching a silent film. It can be exciting to watch, but are you really getting everything out of it?

Sounds not only make you feel more pleasure, but it lets your partner know that you’re feeling great and that he’s doing something right. So, here are a few reasons to get you thinking loud.

Get a Sense for It:
Using all of your senses during sex makes it a fuller experience—it’s all about losing control (in a way that you feel safe, of course). Making noise allows you to be more present in your body and less distracted so you can enjoy the moment. It’s actually more work to hold back than it is to really release that deep breath or that small moan.

A Different Communication:
Couples that match communication styles in the bedroom, like breathing and sounds syncing up, have higher levels of intimacy than couples who are silent. It’s a way of letting you both know how much you’re enjoying yourself, which keeps your arousal up.

In fact, studies on female chimpanzees (our closest evolutionary relatives) show that making these sounds while mating incites male competition. The male primates, in turn, are more likely to ejaculate when a female makes noise. Science is cool, isn’t it?

Expressing Yourself:
Screaming and shouting like a porn star when you aren’t used to making noise is never going to feel genuine. When it comes to moans, it’s all about finding your own sex voice and sexual expression. So play around with different sounds and types of breath, and eventually you’ll find something that feels more like you.

I can’t tell you whether or not a guy is going to prefer a screamer over a silent sex partner, but what I can tell you that you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how much more satisfying sex can be when you make a little noise.

XX,
Emily
