Katy Perry Is ‘Blooming,’ According to Orlando Bloom's Latest Tribute to His Pregnant Fiancé

Katy Perry’s fiancé Orlando Bloom showed the pregnant pop star and their baby-to-be some love on Instagram just days after the singer announced the couple is expecting their first child, via her music video for “Never Worn White.”

The Pirates of the Caribbean star shared a gorgeous photo of Perry posing in a colourful dress at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 event in Australia, where she performed on March 7.

His sweet post marks the first time Bloom has spoken publicly since Perry confirmed the big news on March 4 in her new music video, debuting her growing belly in a stunning all-white ensemble.

She later told fans during an Instagram Live that she and the actor are “excited” about the baby, admitting, “It’s probably the longest secret I’ve ever had to keep. I thought I would tell you guys in the best way through a piece of music.”

It was then Bloom’s turn to share his excitement over the news, captioning his sweet tribute, “My babies blooming ❤️.” Bloom also has a 9-year-old son, Flynn, with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr.

We see what he did there and we appreciate it. This isn’t the first time the couple has used Bloom’s last name in a bit of cheeky wordplay. When they announced their engagement in February 2019, Perry captioned her Instagram post “full bloom,” which also referenced her flower-shaped ruby and diamond engagement ring.

Following the pregnancy announcement, the “Fireworks” singer also joked on Twitter that she’s “so glad I don’t have to suck it in anymore… or carry around a big purse” to hid her baby bump before revealing that the baby was planned.

“Well, it wasn’t on accident,” Perry said in a new interview with SiriusXM’s Mikey Piff. “I’m so grateful for everything that I have been able to do and achieve and all the goals that I’ve been kind of able to check off my list and dreams and the life I’ve lived thus far, and I think I’ve just been trying to create this space in my own life where I’m not running myself too ragged and like, you know, creating space for something new to happen like this. And I think we were both looking forward to this new interval of life and sharing this, so, that’s kind of how it happens, you know?”

Honestly, I’m not seeing any of that friction Perry was talking about between these two.

Orlando Bloom's New Tattoo of His Son's Name Is Spelled Wrong

Orlando Bloom, fiancé of Katy Perry and the sexiest pirate from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise (don’t argue, that’s a fact), seems to have had a bit of a misstep at the tattoo parlor.

Bloom, who co-parents his 9-year-old child Flynn with ex-wife Miranda Kerr, took to Instagram to share his new tattoo: a sweet ode to his son. But then fans noticed something was off. The very cool, hella trendy tat by artist Balazs Bercsenyi is supposed to spell out his son’s name in morse code, but it…doesn’t. Before we get into what went wrong, I have some questions. What’s with this morse code renaissance? Is Bloom a member of the #BongHive? The power that Parasite has…

Anyway, back to the ink in question. On February 12, Bloom shared an artsy black-and-white shot of the sleek line tattoo with the caption, “new #tattoo can you guess who?”

If you guess “Frynn,” you’re probably good at reading morse code, like some of Bloom’s fans on the ‘gram. “If the morse code is supposed to spell out Flynn then there is a mistake,” one commenter wrote. Apparently, there’s a crucial dot missing. Who else is getting major flashbacks to the time Ariana Grande accidentally got “BBQ grill” tattooed on her palm in Japanese? Fixing that error required a removal procedure, even more ink, and some lidocaine shots for the pain. Ouch.

Fortunately, Orlando Bloom and Balazs Bercsenyi are well aware of the mistake and are going to fix it. Even better, unlike Grande’s mishap, it seems Bloom’s typo will take only a small amount of effort to rectify. “A beautiful reminder for @orlandobloom of his son,” Bercsenyi wrote in his own caption of the same picture. “Yes, a dot is missing, we know, it will be fixed :).”

All’s well that ends well, I guess. In the immortal words of that one guy’s chest tattoo in We’re the Millers, “NO RAGRETS.”
