Coming to Netflix in July 2019: New Seasons of Queer Eye and Stranger Things


Big news, Netflix users: Both Queer Eye and Orange Is the New Black are coming back next month. Yes, that’s right: the Fab 5 is returning to your TV screens on July 19 for more teary, makeover goodness. And the women of Litchfield Penitentiary kick off their final season on July 26. Also huge: Stranger Things is returning for season three on July 4. With all this A+ TV happening next month, I’m literally never leaving the house. Sunlight is overrated, anyway.

The Biggest Tearjerkers Streaming on Netflix for When You Just Need a Good Cry


Sometimes we’re just in the mood to cry. Whether it’s because of the weather, a crappy day at work, or a breakup, we find solace in our tears. It’s cathartic—an exercise for your emotions. At times, though, the problem arises when you want to cry but can’t seem to muster up the feelings to get there. This stifling state of purgatory is beyond frustrating: All you want to do is release, but your eyes are on the fritz. That’s where tearjerkers come in. With their emotionally taxing plots and weepy protagonists, tearjerkers (whether movies or TV shows) have the ability to unlock even the most ironclad tear ducts. Dead to Me Season 2: Here's Everything We Know So Far About the Netflix Series


Fans of Netflix’s hit show Dead to Me, starring Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini, can relax because it has officially been renewed for a second season. The series follows the complicated friendship between Jen (Applegate) and Judy (Cardellini) after they meet each other in a grief support group.

Without giving away too much about the plot of season one—and seriously, get to Netflix ASAP to watch this addicting show—Dead to Me is at once a comedy, an emotional drama, and a thriller. Personally, I’m thrilled that we’ll get some answers in the aftermath of last season’s shocking cliffhanger.

Showrunner Jen Feldman wrote for Glamour earlier this year about how the series was inspired by some major events in her own life. “Jen (Christina Applegate) and Judy (Linda Cardellini) have suffered immense loss, but they gain strength and comfort from their newfound friendship. The story, though not autobiographical, is deeply personal,” she wrote. “The facts are made up. The feelings are real.”

I can’t wait to see where she takes the characters next. Here’s what we know, so far at least, about what to expect from season two of Dead to Me. We’ll keep updating as more information becomes available.

1. The premiere date. Netflix hasn’t announced when, exactly, the show will return, but Feldman tweeted that it will be in 2020.

2. Jen and Judy’s friendship will become deeper and even more complicated. “It will be about the further exploration of this friendship, and relationship, and now very complicated dynamic, or even more complicated dynamic between these two women,” Feldman told Entertainment Weekly. “What I wanted to do was create a situation where they’re forced together, and they need each other now in some ways more than they did at the beginning of season 1.”

3. The cast. Not much is known on this front yet, but it’s safe to say Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini will likely reprise their roles.

Coming to Netflix in June 2019: These 106 Titles Are Hitting Your Queues Very Soon


Every teen movie from the early 2000s deserves an Academy Award—especially What a Girl Wants, the seminal classic starring Amanda Bynes, which hits Netflix on June 1. Yup, in just a few days you’ll have streaming access to one of the greatest pieces of cinema in history. Leaving Netflix in June 2019: It's Time to Say Goodbye to Elle Woods


Elle Woods may not have thought getting into Harvard Law School was hard, but saying goodbye to her and the Legally Blonde movies on Netflix sure will be. It’s true, even the sequel—Legally Blonde: Red, White & Blonde—will no longer be available come June 1. So get your fill of Bruiser, Paulette, and the “bend and snap” while you still can.

Also leaving the streaming service this month are a slew of Disney movies like 101 Dalmations and The Fox and the Hound, the classic ’80s teen movie Pretty in Pink, both Kill Bill films, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and one of Ryan Reynolds breakout movies, National Lampoon’s Van Wilder.

Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler’s New Netflix Movie Looks Like a Riot


Clear your calendars, people: The Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler Netflix movie is arriving in June, and it looks hilarious.

The first trailer for the film dropped on Friday, April 26. Titled Murder Mystery, it centers on a New York City police officer (Sandler) who finally takes his wife (Aniston) on a long-promised European vacation. While on the flight they meet a mysterious, handsome stranger (Luke Evans) who has connections to some very rich, powerful, and famous people. He invites Sandler and Aniston’s characters to spend the weekend on a billionaire’s yacht—but when said billionaire winds up dead, they become the prime suspects. Thus a murder mystery is born.

This is the second time Aniston and Sandler are teaming up for a project. The actors first joined forces in 2011’s Just Go With It, which had Sandler playing a plastic surgeon who enlists his assistant (Aniston) to pose as his ex-wife in order to impress a much younger woman (Brooklyn Decker). Though that movie wasn’t well-received by critics, it did prove Aniston and Sandler have some great comedic chemistry.

You can see this clearly, again, in the trailer for Murder Mystery. These two minutes alone confirm we’re in for a high-jinks-filled roller coaster. Check out the teaser for yourself, below:

This is Aniston’s second film for Netflix. She made her debut on the streaming platform in Dumplin‘, a feel-good comedy about the fraught relationship between a former beauty queen and her plus-size daughter (played impeccably by Danielle Macdonald). Up next for her after Murder Mystery is the Apple limited series The Morning Show, which also stars Reese Witherspoon.

Sandler, meanwhile, has appeared in several Netflix originals, including The Week Of, Sandy Wexler, The Do-Over, and The Ridiculous 6.

Murder Mystery arrives on Netflix June 14. Let the countdown begin.
