Jennifer Lopez Completed a $200K Outfit With $60 Sunglasses


From announcing her engagement to revealing her next big movie role, it’s been a busy month in the life of Jennifer Lopez. She took a shopping break from her jam-packed schedule in New York City last week, but in true pop superstar fashion, even her off-duty outfit had some noticeably glam details.

J.Lo went shopping with her daughter, Emme, in Manhattan on Wednesday, March 21. The pair stopped by a store that’s affordable and frequently seen on celebrities, H&M.

According to Us Weekly, the shopping trip was more for her daughter—still, J.Lo dressed for occasion with her best high-low outfit.

The total cost of her look, per Us’ estimate, is a whopping $200,000. That breaks down into a faux-fur coat by Vince ($750), sneakers by Alexander McQueen ($490), and a Birkin bag (believed to cost over $100,000.) Her cream sweater and furry scarf remain unidentified.

What makes it a true high-low look, though, is J.Lo’s final accessory: her sunglasses. Her affordable eyewear is actually from her and fiancé Alex Rodriguez’s collaboration with Quay. The price? Just $60.

Lopez has worn glasses from her affordable Quay collaboration several times since its launch last week. She wore a mirrored style, the ‘Playa’ sunglasses, for a trip to Queens. Once again, she carried a Birkin bag to complete the look.

Lopez may have access to all sorts of designer accessories, but shetold Elle that Quay’s affordable frames have been favorites in her eyewear collection for some time: “I’ve been using Quay sunglasses years. You can go back and see photos of me rocking Quay styles. They noticed and were like, ‘Hey, maybe we should do something together because we see that you’re a big fan of the brand.'”

No doubt we’ll be seeing the singer wearing her Quay glasses into summer, likely with a Birkin bag in tow.

Jennifer Lopez Confirms What We All Know, Says A-Rod Is the Ultimate Instagram Husband


If you’re looking to find the perfect inspiration to showcase your Instagram-official relationship, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez—masters of the art form—have some advice.

The newly engaged pair have diligently documented their entire romance on Instagram, straight from the moment they went public. From vacations to events, product launches, and even their engagement, it’s all up there for the world to see. And, according to Lopez, it’s all thanks to A-Rod’s hard work as an Instagram (future) husband.

“He loves taking pictures and documenting the moment,” Lopez shared with People. Rodriguez echoed his fiance’s statement, adding that he’s more than happy to photograph and share their every move—especially now that he’s retired from baseball.

“I don’t have to play 162 games anymore, so I have a lot time on my hands,” he said. “I like to have fun.”

But, let’s be real, it’s not like A-Rod developed these Insta skills on his own: He happily admitted that he receives a little bit of advice from his daughters Natasha, 14, and Ella, 10, on exactly how to capture a moment for social media the best way.

“My coaches are my girls—they’re my biggest critics,” Rodriguez said. “I know immediately if I posted something dorky, because both of the girls start blowing me up. They’re like, ‘Dad take that down, we’re teenagers. We’re going to be ragged on at school.’ We have fun with it, but they know best because that’s more their strength.”

Of course, the relationship between J.Lo and A-Rod is a symbiotic one. Although Rodriguez has lent even more shine to his future wife’s Insta game, she’s returned the favor by helping him with his own (more literal) style.

“Jennifer has taught me that it’s less about what you wear and more about the fit,” Rodriguez told People. And you can definitely tell—after all, this couple is basically famous for dressing in adorably coordinated outfits.

But in the end, the duo noted that it’s really about getting to do things together, as a couple.

“Everything that we do, we do together,” Lopez said. “We’re constantly supporting each other in our individual endeavors and then we’re thinking about all the things that we can build together. He knows my dreams and I know his dreams, and together we feel like we’re stronger. He is my biggest collaborator and my biggest supporter.”

Barack Obama Sent the Sweetest Engagement Note to Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez


After two years of dating, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are engaged. And although the blissfully Instagram-happy couple has plenty of fans who have followed the romance since it officially kicked off, it seems like their No. 1 fan is none other than former President Barack Obama.

Shortly after the pair announced their engagement on Instagram, the former POTUS sent the pair an adorable note congratulating the couple on their engagement. Naturally, Rodriguez shared the note on Friday after receiving it (come on, wouldn’t you?).

On his personal stationary, Obama wrote:

Jennifer and Alex –
Michelle and I just wanted to congratulate you on your engagement. After 26 years together, we can say that whatever challenges life may bring, sharing them with someone you love makes it all better.

In his social media post, which he shared to both Instagram and Twitter, Rodriguez shared a photo of the note and simply captioned it, “This means the world to us. #44”

As for how J.Lo and A-Rod know the Obamas, Vulture reports that Rodriguez likely first met the former President when he visited the White House back in 2010 with the rest of the Yankees. Lopez, on the other hand, recently shared the stage with Michelle Obama in February during the 2019 Grammys.

But it might just be that the Obamas are simply big fans of the couple just like the rest of us. After all, the Lopez-Rodriguez twosome are a couple who appear to be madly, deeply, truly in love—kind of like the Obamas themselves.

Alex Rodriguez Got Some Very Pointed Advice When He Started Dating Jennifer Lopez


By now, we’ve all fallen for the romance that Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez share. They’re clearly into each other like whoa: The duo make their affection for each other public; he works out to her own music; and they even dress alike—a sure sign of coupledom if there is one. (And that’s not mentioning the $24,000 Valentine’s Day gift J.Lo gifted her now-fiancé.)

These two do it up big, and as it turns out, part of that might spring from some advice A-Rod got as he started out on this journey with J.Lo. According to Page Six, a friend apparently advised that, “Whatever you do, you cannot mess her around.”

As the friend told the tabloid, “I said, ‘This lady is like American royalty. Whatever happens, you cannot treat her badly. If you split up for any reason, she has to be the one to dump your ass!’ It’s a lot of pressure on someone to date Jennifer Lopez! But they both fell in love.”

Yeah, we’re guessing that dating one of pop music’s biggest icons isn’t exactly a low-key deal—even if you are a super-famous former baseball player. But it seems like it’s all worked out for the two of them. As A-Rod told Vanity Fair for their October 2017 cover story, the two share a lot of bonds that make for a solid foundation: “We are very much twins,” he said. “We’re both Leos, we’re both from New York, we’re both Latino…and about 20 other things.”

According to another source from Page Six, the two are super-supportive of each other in their day-to-day relationship, too—which is especially important when both partners are in high-powered careers. “They’re so respectful to each other,” the source told Page Six. “When Alex is working for ESPN [calling baseball games], Jennifer goes … and sits quietly in the booth because she likes to watch him. They have that kind of relationship. Likewise, when she was doing her [concert residency] in Vegas, he would fly in. He was at almost every show. The support level is incredible.”

Jennifer Lopez Just Shared New Pictures of Alex Rodriguez’s Beach Proposal


Jennifer Lopez and her number-one fan and fiancé, Alex Rodriguez, have been engaged for all of four days, but that’s already way too long to go without exact proposal details. Luckily, J.Lo just blessed us all by sharing some ultra-intimate photos of the exact moment A-Rod got down on one knee during their beach vacation in the Bahamas. Spoiler alert: The whole thing was beautiful.

On Instagram Lopez posted a couple of of images that capture her emotional reaction as Rodriguez presented her with a gigantic emerald-cut diamond ring. She didn’t say much else—the post’s caption reads, “3.9.19”—but the gorgeous photos pretty much speak for themselves.

The engagement came after the couple had been dating a little more than two years. They broke the news that they were getting hitched on Saturday by posting identical photos of J.Lo sporting her new massive rock, which her fiancé reportedly picked out himself. He shared the image with a caption that read, “She said yes.”

Earlier today, March 12, Rodriguez offered his own lovey-dovey message to fans on his IG stories. Over a shot of the two of them hugging after the proposal, he wrote, “There aren’t many words to share with you, only feelings. Gratitude. Excitement. And just…joy. We know there is work to do to keep building a family and future we can be proud of, and we can’t do it without all of you. We are thankful for all of your messages of love and congratulations.”

In the days before Rodriguez popped the question, he and Lopez shared a few photos of themselves lounging on boats and on the sand during their breezy Bahamas getaway. Somewhere in that time, it seems Rodriguez found the perfect spot on the beach to make Lopez his fiancée, and the moment couldn’t have been anymore adorable.
