This Cute Wearable Vibrator Is Great for BDSM Beginners

The most difficult part of adding a clitoral vibrator to penetrative sex is the positioning. Sure, the addition of a sex toy is dope and can make it easier to orgasm, but you lose a hand. That’s like running an obstacle course with your shoelaces tied! So I was excited when I heard about the Desire Luxury Butterfly Hands-Free Vibrator, ($100 from Lovehoney), which aims to solve this problem by attaching a cute purple, vibrating butterfly to a sexy black harness you can wear while boning. And after trying it, I can say that Lovehoney succeeded in creating an awesome product—just not in the way they necessarily intended.

Here’s the bad news first: The adjustable harness is indeed sexy, but it doesn’t really stay in place. I loved how mine looked, but the butterfly-shaped vibrator hovered about half an inch away from my clitoris no matter how tight I adjusted the straps. It’s not like a latex bodysuit that sticks to your body as a second skin. Even with those black straps, additional pressure is required to hit the right spot.

PHOTO: Lovehoney

Here’s how the vibe fits over your waist.

I wore it with my partner while on my tummy (the easiest position to use a vibrator during penetrative sex, IMO) and still needed to take my right hand and push the butterfly against me. So no matter how hot it is, don’t expect the harness to make your added-stimulation sex “hands-free.” Even when I was on top, the butterfly didn’t fly close enough to my clit to vibrate me to instant-orgasm. Added pressure was still necessary.

Now for the good news! If you’re using this with a partner, the hands-free feature is great if you want to put them in charge. The butterfly has a remote control which allows it to move in eight different vibration patterns at 12 different speeds (like a massage chair you’d sit in while getting a pedicure). Relax with the harness on and use your hand to push the vibrator closer to your body if you need to, but give your partner the remote. Do you like the rolling hill sensation? Sorry! Time to change the channel to rapid-fire pulsations. Are you getting close to coming? Bam! Throw in some orgasm denial and slow that thing down.

By the way, “orgasm denial” is a part of dominant and submissive play and is exactly what it sounds like. When done to penises, it’s usually referred to as “edging,” but the cruel build-up is hot for people with vaginas, too. After some solid rounds of orgasm denial, when you finally do orgasm, it can be out of this world.

Unfortunately, you can only turn the butterfly on and off by pressing a button on the vibrator itself; the remote just changes speeds and vibrations. (Unless I was totally using it wrong, but I couldn’t find an on/off button on the remove for the life of me). The famed couples toy line made by We-Vibe also allows your partner to control the vibrator as you wear it, and in a far more advanced manner. With We-Vibe, you can set the vibrators to the beat of your favorite song with their We-Connect app (and you can control it from anywhere in the world). Consider the butterfly a slightly less technological method of doing the same thing. Old school, baby!

PHOTO: Lovehoney

Cute!

In the end, I ripped the harness off my body and just held the butterfly against my clit like any old vibrator. I orgasmed, but I think I could have done that with my hand or a clitoral vibrator for a quarter of the price tag. Invest in this sex toy if you really like grinding against legs, love orgasm denial, or can just afford to collect all the sex toys in the world. If you’re just looking to increase orgasms, you might want to stick with a classic clitoral vibrator.

You can get the Lovehoney Desire Luxury Butterfly Hands-Free Vibrator for $100 here.

50 Cute Winter Hairstyles for 2017

    High, Split Pony

If there’s one way to make a ponytail interesting, it’s by mimicking Bella Hadid’s high pony. The trick is in where you position it—aim to situate your pony base as high as you can and in the center of your head. Too low, and you won’t get that cool, split effect.

    Braided Bun With Jewels

This bun looks complicated, but it’s actually doable. Fishtail braid your hair loosely, then coil it around itself at the base of your neck (use ample bobby pins to help it stay). Stick a few jeweled pins in—these are from Jen Atkin’s Chloe and Isabel line—and you’re set.

    Bubble Pony

Most of us likely first encountered the bubble pony on animated Disney heroines, but its latest iteration is anything but childish. As seen on Olivia Culpo, the style is modern and easy: Just pull your hair into a high pony, space elastics every few inches, and pull on both sides of each section to get that rounded effect.

    Huge, Dreamy Curls

Brushing out curls is usually a huge no-go, but it’s worth it to get Zendaya’s gorgeous, intentionally puffy frizz. Pull a soft bristled brush through to get the look without damage.

    Sleek Side Part

If you went for a blunt bob recently, your updo options might feel a bit limited. Jenna Dewan Tatum’s sleekly gelled, tucked back style is a great option. Smooth a pomade through your hair for a similar look.

    Undone Side Braid

Elizabeth Olsen’s mussed side braid is a work of casual, beautiful art. To replicate it, part your hair deep to one side, and then start braiding just below your jawline. Tug on a few sections to loosen them, and this look can go anywhere.

21 Cute Beanies to Top Off Every Winter Outfit

Beanie season is here, and we couldn’t be happier about it, particularly because unlike other hats—boaters, bowlers, fedoras—which can be tricky to pull off, just about everyone looks good in a beanie (plus, they’re practical, and easy to stash in your bag just in case). Pick up a colorful pom-pom version to combat a dreary day, or choose a classic slouchy style in your neutral shade of choice. If you’re prone to losing every hat that comes into your possession, Zara and Urban Outfitters have styles in the $20 range, which should make the experience a little less painful, but if you have a little more to spend, Wooln and White + Warren make hand-knit and cashmere styles that’ll feel like pure luxury. Ahead, shop 21 of fall’s best beanies, from insulated options for those in colder climes to lightweight toppers for those whose idea of “winter weather” bottoms out around 50 degrees.

Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse Shared a Cute Moment on 'The Tonight Show'

Rumors have been swirling for a while now that Riverdale stars Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse are dating IRL. The evidence to support this theory is thin, but it certainly exists. There was the time the two were caught holding hands during a Comic-Con interview. Plus, they’ve each written gushy posts about the other on social media, and the non-response response Sprouse gave a few weeks ago about the rumor added even more fuel to the fire. Of course, we won’t know anything for sure until Sprouse and Reinhart confirm (or deny) themselves, but that’s not stopping fans from psychoanalyzing their interactions like detectives.

And the latest moment between Reinhart and Sprouse has fans particularly hot and bothered. It happened last night on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Sprouse and Reinhart were noticeably kept apart during the entire taping. They didn’t sit next to each other during the cast interview—which also featured KJ Apa, Camila Mendes, and Madelaine Petsch—or during any of the activities Fallon had them do.

However, a fan account caught the two of them having a slight—and we mean slight—interaction. After the cast finished playing a round of Fallon’s game “Search Party,” which is essentially Family Feud, it looks like Sprouse walks over and embraces Reinhart—but it cuts to commercial before we get visual confirmation. Notice Reinhart’s body language, though; she arches her body back in Sprouse’s direction, as if she’s anticipating the embrace. Check it out for yourself, below:

Ugh, why did the commercial have to come at that exact moment? Had the camera stayed on them for literally two more seconds, we’d be able to put this rumor to rest once and for all.

But, honestly, it’ll be a bummer if or when that time comes. At this point, playfully obsessing over Reinhart and Sprouse’s relationship is half the fun of being a Riverdale fan.

Chrissy Metz Wanted to Wear Cute Clothes as a Teen, So She Made Her Own

While the fashion industry still has a long way to go toward size inclusivity, plus-size clothing and accessory options are much more readily available today than they were even 10 years ago. Chrissy Metz, who grew up in a time before plus-size clothes had spread far beyond stores like Torrid and Lane Bryant, remembers how she had to learn to be creative with the few options she was given.

In an interview with People, the This Is Us star said it was much easier for her friends to find cute clothes at the mall that expressed their personalities. “I was the only chubby girl in my friend group. I remember Wet Seal becoming popular when I was in school, but the clothes didn’t fit me the same way they fit my friends,” she said. “Only Lane Bryant had clothing I could wear.” Metz added, “I had to make [my style] my own, because otherwise you’d look like someone’s grandma and you’re 14.”

According to Metz, the worst time of the year for her was back-to-school shopping season. “It was terrible. I had to settle for clothes. I wanted cute little cutoff shorts, but I had to get the longer ones because of my thighs. I thought, ‘Maybe I could cut them and maybe I could make them my own,” she said. “And then I would try to wear those little lacy bike shorts underneath them, because that was all the rage. It was really hard. My younger sister is thin and she would always be wearing cute clothes, so I had no one to talk to.”

Over time, though, Metz, 36, learned to get creative when it came to fashion. While her friends were able to swap clothing, the actress became an accessories expert. “I got super creative. I made a purse out of an old Baskin Robbins ice cream tub,” Metz said. She also crafted purses from old jeans and bedazzled thrift store T-shirts. And when she moved to Los Angeles at the age of 23, she became even more adventurous. “My style started to shift when I moved to L.A. I had a roommate who wore funky clothes. I was like, ‘If she can do it, I can do it,'” she said.

Now, in her Emmy-nominated role on the hit NBC show, Metz is getting to connect with other women who shared similar experiences, while simultaneously continuing her mission to break out of the box in which society has tried to place her based on her weight. “Because of the role of Kate on This Is Us and how her character was written, people got to see her many layers and realized she’s not solely characterized on her size or her weight,” she said. “I relate so much to that character. When I was younger, I was cognizant of being different and people made me feel that way. I had to cover up, and I always wore T-shirts around my friends. It’s a terrible thing, because size doesn’t, of course, equate to beauty. People aren’t educated and there’s fear around that. You might be bigger than the next person, but that doesn’t mean you’re not worthy or you’re lazy or whatever some people think plus-size is.”
