Kim Kardashian Was Finally Asked, Point-Blank, if Kylie Jenner and Khloé Kardashian Are Pregnant

Yesterday, Kim Kardashian gave a very diplomatic answer to Ellen DeGeneres about why no one in her family has confirmed the pregnancy rumors swirling around Kylie Jenner and Khloé Kardashian. (It’s important to note, however, that DeGeneres didn’t explicitly name Kylie and Khloé when she asked Kim about this; she just said, “You do have several sisters that are pregnant.”)

“This is how we work in the family,” Kardashian said, her poker face on. “When there are lots of rumors, we have these family group chats, and we threaten each other’s lives if we speak for the other one so for the safety of my life…We just decided there’s so much that goes on that we respect each other’s right to speak for ourselves. So I will speak about myself and hopefully they can come on and address whatever rumors you might have.”

Instances like this have happened several times since the Kylie and Khloé rumor-mill began over the summer. Kris Jenner, Kendall Jenner, and Kourtney Kardashian have all done interviews where Kylie and Khloé’s maybe-babies were subtly brought up, but they strategically dodged the questions. No one has come out and just straight-up asked the family if Kylie and Khloé are expecting.

Well, until now. Kim appeared on the Late Late Show with James Corden and was asked, point-blank, about her sisters. During a game of “Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts,” Kim was faced with a dramatic choice: Confirm Kylie and Khloé’s pregnancies or drink a sardine smoothie. She chose the latter.

“Kim, there have been lots of rumors about your sisters, Khloé and Kylie, being pregnant,” host James Corden said. “Are they true? Yes or no.” Kim, fighting back a smile but saying nothing, swiftly picked up the sardine smoothie and downed it. Check it out for yourself, below (around the 5:55 mark):

Damn. That’s loyalty. Let this be a lesson to everyone: There’s no way in hell we’re getting pregnancy confirmations from anyone except Khloé and Kylie.

Uma Thurman Was Asked About Weinstein, and Her Response Was Chilling

The numerous allegations of sexual harassment and assault brought against former Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein have not only toppled his career but have also led to a growing number of others stepping forward and naming other men who routinely abused their power to prey on industry talent. In the past few weeks, director James Toback, director Steven Seagal, and House of Cards actor Kevin Spacey have all been implicated in the subsequent fallout. Actress Uma Thurman has so far chosen not to speak out—much of her work with Quentin Tarantino has been under Weinstein’s production company—but when she was asked about the wave of sexual misconduct allegations on Friday night, her response was chilling.

Some of the victims have, of course, not come forward with allegations—each, understandably, has their own reasons for doing so, whether it’s out of fear of professional repercussions, non-disclosure agreements, or far more personal ones. And it’s not right to force anyone into doing so.

“I don’t have a tidy soundbite for you,” she began, speaking slowly and seeming to choose her words carefully. “Because I have learned—I am not a child, and I have learned that when I’ve spoken in anger, I usually regret the way I express myself. So I’ve been waiting to feel less angry, and when I’m ready, I’ll say what I have to say.”

Although her words were vague, it’s the seemingly controlled emotion that defines the clip:

Other women on Twitter came out to support Thurman—and some saw themselves in their interpretation of her response. Actress Asia Argento, who is one of Weinstein’s accusers and had to leave her home country of Italy after she came out against him due to personal attacks from critics, also tweeted a statement urging her to voice her story—though Thurman makes it clear she’s not yet ready.

These Photographers Asked Daughters to Teach Their Dads About Feminism

As a lot of commentators have pointed out recently—following a wave of admonishments from celebrities saying that “as fathers of daughters” they were appalled by Harvey Weinstein’s behavior—a man shouldn’t need a daughter to teach him that sexual harassment is wrong and that feminism is necessary.

But it couldn’t hurt.

Sham Hinchey and Marzia Messina are photographers creative partners, and the parents of a 10-year-old girl, Penelope. She inspired their most recent project, “Dear Daughters,”, which brought 22 men and their young daughters into their Brooklyn studio to talk about feminism and have their portraits taken.

“We really wanted to hear men talk on the question of feminism and women’s rights and the role of a woman in the society,” Hinchey told Glamour. “We thought a good place to start was with fathers who have daughters, because it might be easier for them to empathize with their young daughter so they could kind of learn through them.”

With the help of Penelope, Hinchey and Messina designed a board game to guide the discussion. It started with softball questions: “What do you think you’ll be doing when you’re 25?” and “What was life like when you were a kid?” As the game progressed, they moved on to more challenging stuff: “What do you think the phrase ‘boys will be boys’ suggests?” or “Pretend you’re in Congress and come up with a new law about women’s rights.”

Sometimes, the game was illuminating because it encouraged girls to describe the world from their perspective. At other times, fathers were forced to explain a hard truth about the world to their daughters, which underscored the injustice of it for everyone. If a girl hadn’t heard the word “stereotype” before, her father had to explain what stereotyping is, why it’s wrong, and how it might affect her.

Hinchey and Penelope took their turn with the game as well. He said that even though he and Penelope are close and both care about women’s rights, it felt good to have this kind of frank discussion with her. “We always delegate those kinds of conversations to the mom,” he says. “But if we do put ourselves in that place as dads, it can strengthen our relationship with our kids. And I think that putting men in women’s shoes for a while—that’s how we get them on board with the movement for equality.”

The family hopes to expand their project with more fathers and daughters from across the country, and to eventually publish a book featuring their conversations and photos.

Chrissy Teigen Asked Moms on Twitter for Moral Support, and the Responses Are Hilarious

If there’s an celebrity who has been transparent about being a mom—meaning she’s shown us that not every single moment is sunshine and rainbows—it’s Chrissy Teigen. She’s put mom-shamers in their place when they gotten out of hand. She’s taken down trolls who criticize her for undergoing IVF treatments. She’s even opened up to Glamour about her struggles with postpartum depression. It’s refreshing to see a woman being so open about the hard parts of being a mom, because society still tends to treat mamas like they have to be beacons of perfection—right when life is getting a little chaotic for them.

On Friday Teigen must have been having a particularly difficult day with her 1-year-old daughter, Luna, because she turned to Twitter for some support from her fellow moms. She might have also been looking for a good laugh with her tweet: “I am having a very rough day and it would help me a lot if any moms would like to share stories of their kids being mean to them.”

Hilarity ensued: if you didn’t already know, kids can be really freaking mean. Teigen’s tweet already has over 3,000 replies from moms and dads bullied by their savage offspring.

Here are some of the funniest responses:

Chrissy even joined in to commiserate:

Of course Teigen’s followers brought out their best mean kid stories because, let’s be honest, we all have them. And while it’s frustrating to deal with in the moment, looking back on the crazy things kids say and do when they’re little is pretty hilarious. We’re hoping Chrissy reveals what’s been going on with her own little one. She did admit she’s gotten a few slaps in one response to a follower. But baby Luna is so cute, it would be impossible to stay mad at her.

Arie Luyendyk Jr. Is Your Next 'Bachelor' and Honestly Who Asked for This?

Big news out of Bachelor Nation this morning: Arie Luyendyk Jr. is going to be your next Bachelor. If you’re asking, “Who?” that is an appropriate response because we haven’t seen much of Arie since he was the runner-up on Emily Maynard’s 2012 season of The Bachelorette. 2012. For context, that’s two full years before Bachelor in Paradise even started.

And get this: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Arie was the first pick for the 2015 season of The Bachelor, but ABC went with Chris Soules instead because Arie hadn’t been on the franchise in two years. If he was too far removed back then, why now, five years later? “The decision was very last minute,” a source told The Hollywood Reporter. Yeah, no shit.

I mean, the man has gray hair now it’s been so long. Just look at him discussing the announcement on Good Morning America this morning:

Now compare that with this photo, which was clearly taken from his 2012 season:

I vaguely remember liking Arie during Emily’s season, but this choice raises a lot of obvious questions: Is Mercury in retrograde? (No.) What’s wrong with Hot Peter? He’s very hot! Why not Kenny? He was a fan favorite, and his daughter would make a sweet co-star. Does this means the franchise is done pretending to address its diversity problem? Unfortunately, I think yes.

But, fine, we’re going with Arie, so let’s get to know a little about him: He’s 35, he lives in Arizona, and he’s a two-time Indianapolis 500 winner turned real estate agent (so expect a season filled with cars and racing and…oh God, I’m already bored). He also seems to be very aware how weird this is, but he’s not worried about the haters (like myself): “Now that I’ve had some time and distance away from it, it feels like the feeling I had before I went into it the first time,” he told People. “I’m not concerned what people think. I’m just focused on the outcome. I want to find my person and will do whatever it takes!”
