Gal Gadot, Natalie Portman, and a Bunch of Other Celebs Filmed Themselves Singing ‘Imagine’

“Imagine all the people, living for today.”

Those are famous lyrics from John Lennon’s hit song “Imagine”—and thanks to Gal Gadot, you can now see a bunch of celebrities singing it online in the hope of bringing people together during the coronavirus pandemic.

“Day six in self-quarantine, and I gotta say these past few days got me feeling philosophical,” Gadot says in the beginning of the video posted to her Instagram. “You know, this virus has affected the entire world, everyone. It doesn’t matter who you are, where you’re from, we’re all in this together.” She then mentions a video she saw of an Italian man playing “Imagine” on his trumpet from his balcony to all the other people inside their homes, and how there was something “so powerful and pure” about it.

And that inspiration brought us this new video, featuring stars like Natalie Portman, Amy Adams, Zoë Kravitz, Sarah Silverman, Jimmy Fallon, James Marsden, Will Ferrell, Cara Delevingne, Norah Jones, Kristen Wiig, Lynda Carter (the OG Wonder Woman), Jamie Dornan, Ashley Benson, Gal Gadot, and more singing “Imagine.”

Obviously, the celebrities’ hearts are in the right place as they try to keep “entertaining” while all of our individual worlds get a little smaller by the day. But the response on social media was mixed, to say the least. “You are such a blessing to the world❤️,” one fan commented on Gadot’s post. “This is powerful❤️,” another wrote.

Many called on the rich and famous to use their money to donate to causes in need at the moment. “I’m somehow not terribly inspired by rich people singing ‘Imagine no possessions’ from their million-dollar mansions,” one person tweeted.

Others just found the video incredibly awkward to view. “Please watch this and then tell me how far you got before turning it off (for me it was sia, although i’m not even sure it was sia),” writer Tyler Coates tweeted.

However you feel about the “Imagine” video, I think we all know that the internet is only going to get weirder as social distancing and isolation continue. And that’s going to be fun, right? Right?!

This Video of Prince Harry Singing a *Hamilton* Song Will Royally Make Your Day

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were able to loosen up a bit on Wednesday night (August 29) while taking in a performance of Hamilton alongside Lin-Manuel Miranda, who created the Tony Award-winning show. Hamilton, of course, is the critically acclaimed Broadway musical that premiered three years ago (and still costs your college tuition to see). It’s now getting more accessible for people — and by default, royals! — to see it, as it’s now playing in London, Washington, D.C., Chicago, and Los Angeles. Prince Harry, in particular, showed his Hamil-spirit by belting out King George’s showstopper “You’ll Be Back” when the show ended. (Adding another layer of hilarity, King George is Prince Harry’s great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather.)

“We saw it back in January, February and thought it was incredible,” Markle told one of the actors after the show, per People. “Harry loved it, it was the first time he saw it, and now he can’t stop singing the songs! We could just feel the energy. It was so engaging.” Added the prince, backstage to another actor: “The first time round [I saw the show] I was laughing so much. Just fantastic.” Still don’t believe us on the singing part? Watch the below video, captured by an audience member.

As People notes, while the couple’s first visit to see the musical together earlier this year was just a social engagement, this time, the performance served as a fundraiser for Prince Harry’s Sentebale charity, which raises money for youth empowerment and HIV awareness in Southern Africa. “A round of applause to yourself for taking part of this evening’s activities, because together you’ve raised a huge amount of money for the children in Botswana,” he explained in the video, before acknowledging the actors. “I don’t know how you guys do this every single night, over and over again, and in this heat as well.”

Unsurprisingly, the evening turned out to be a rousing success. “We knew Harry and Meghan had been to the show almost secretly, although a cast member tweeted it, and loved it,” the charity’s chairman explained to People. “Harry and Meghan love the show. This is the third time that Meghan has seen it. They were very involved in the event; we chatted about it and they were so excited about doing it.” As for the cast, they clearly relished the opportunity to be in the presence of the royals — Prince Harry even joked with them about how much the king’s crown weighed! (It’s heavy.)

Maybe they’ll be back another time.

Jennifer Lopez's Daughter Is a Mini J.Lo Singing in This Video

Proud parents tend to become especially proud parents over the holidays, as you might already be noticing on Instagram and Facebook. After all, there’s a lot of family time going on, from trips to seeing grandparents to school holiday performances. And it’s not just the regular dads, either; it’s the cool moms posting their children’s efforts—offkey or not—for all to enjoy.

And by “cool moms,” in this instance, we mean “A-list moms,” and by “A-list moms,” we mean Jennifer Lopez. Having recently decorated a Christmas tree with beau Alex Rodriguez to get into the holiday spirit, Lopez continued with her seasonal activities by attending her 9-year-old daughter Emme’s elementary school holiday show performance. On Friday, J.Lo shared a clip of her daughter singing “Do You Hear What I Hear?” at her “Christmas Pageant 2017,” and it’s basically proof that Emme is the next-gen version of her famous mama.

J.Lo filmed her daughter throughout her performance of the classic holiday carol. At one point, when Emme notices her mom filming her, she breaks into a smile, mimics the next lyric with a grin, and keeps on going with her eyes on the camera like the true budding profesh she is.

Have a watch, below:

‘Tis the season, after all, and celebrities are really getting into their holiday prep this year. Quite a few of them have been getting into the spirit all month, and of course we can’t wait for the parade of ugly Christmas sweaters on Instagram. In the meantime, us normals will be putting the finishing touches on some creative holiday decorations and keeping an eye out to see if anyone takes our very practical suggestion on the whole Christmas tree brows thing.
