The Best Sephora Christmas Sales 2017

Last-minute holiday shoppers, this one’s for you: Sephora just dropped a pre-Christmas sale as part of its Weekly Wow deals program, and the discounts truly are great. We’ll cut right to the chase because the gift sets and palettes on sale right now definitely won’t last long, but with Christmas fast approaching, time is totally of the essence. And believe us, Sephora’s summer sales pale in comparison to the holiday offerings currently begging to be dropped into your shopping cart. The mentality behind this sale seems to be “go big or go home” because gift set prices have been slashed by epic proportions.

Tarte Cosmetics, a cruelty-free favorite, is front and center with too almost too pretty to use products now 50 percent off. The Limited-Edition Buried Treasure Eyeshadow Palette and eight-piece Posh Pout Quick Dry & Glossy Lip Set are now just $18 each. And if you’re still on the lookout for the perfect present for a highlighter junkie, there’s good news too. Milk Makeup’s multi-use Glitter Glaze Quads, typically $49, have dropped to just $24.50. Each quad comes with four creamy, dreamily blendable shades for eyes, lips, and cheeks.

Milk Makeup also makes an appearance in the Sephora Favorites (so you know its good) Glow for It Gift Set, another Sephora Christmas sale highlight. For $32, you get cult favorite highlighting minis from Milk Makeup, Becca Cosmetics, Benefit, and more. For full-size glow-y goodness, check out Smashbox’s Photo Strip Highlighting Palette down to $11 from $22. Pair it with the brand’s Photo Strip Eyeshadow Palette, also $11, and you’ve got a full face worth of high pay-off blendable color for days.

Finally, if lip kits are the thing you and yours are lusting after, there’s good news on that front as well, courtesy of Buxom Cosmetics and BareMinerals. Both brands have adorable, fun-size lip sets on sale now. The best part? They’re all under $20. BareMinerals’ Nudes for Days Lip Wardrobe is just $12, down from $24, and has six barely there shades to choose from. Buxom has two kits up for sale.

Go the glossy route with its Purrfectly Plump Plumping 6-Piece Mini Lip Collection for $16 or grab a trio of its fan-favorite Be Legendary Lipstick Minis down from $22 to $11. Like all good things, Sephora’s glorious sale won’t last forever. On December 27 the deals are gone, which leave just enough to check off every remaining box on your gift list and nab enough great stuff to max out your gift cards.

Sephora Just Launched a Surprise Thanksgiving Sale, and the Deals Are Incredible

In case you’ve been refreshing the Sephora site every three minutes to see when they’d finally let us in on the upcoming giant Black Friday sale, you can stop—because Sephora just dropped a surprise Thanksgiving sale on us. To make it even better, today’s deals are totally different from what’s dropping tomorrow.

Sephora surprised shoppers with an early sale last year, too—here’s hoping this is a yearly tradition—and this year’s deals aren’t messing around. We’re talking huge discounts on customer-favorite products like Becca highlighter, Stila lipsticks, Urban Decay eye sets, and skincare sets. And you won’t need to move from your Thanksgiving food coma—or battle the crowds—to shop it: The early surprise sale is only online at Sephora.com and on Sephora’s app.

Be warned, however: a lot of products are limited edition, and the site makes it clear that everything will be available “while supplies last”—so no judgement here if you sneak off during the family flag football game to “check the turkey” and do a little shopping instead. Scroll through to catch some of our favorite picks from the sale.

The Urban Decay Total Perversion Set is almost 60 percent off, and comes with a full-size Perversion Mascara and Perversion 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in it. Normally the pair would cost you $43, but they’re $15 today.

For anyone looking for a lipstick that refuses to budge no matter how much stuffing you eat, there’s the Stila Stay All Day, Shimmer All Night Mini Liquid Lipstick Set. It comes in two very festive metallic shades: Patina Shimmer and Beso Shimmer. The price? A wallet-friendly $15.

If you know someone who wants their highlight to be so lit you can see from another planet, there’s the Becca Champagne Dream Lip & Highlighter Duo. The set is worth $56, but thanks to the sale, it’s $34. The champagne lip and cheek combo will go perfectly with the champagne in your glass during this season’s holiday parties.

If you’re shopping for “a friend” who loves skincare (we won’t tell if that’s just you), the Glamglow Let it Glow! Little Sexy Trio, with three targeted skin treatments, is on sale for $39—a big drop from its retail value of $66.

For the luxury skincare lover, the Caudalie Mini Must Haves set is just $15 (it’s worth more than three times that).

Admittedly, this sale definitely adds to our growing list of Black Friday beauty deals we’re shopping, but we’re more than willing to move this one way up to the top.

Sephora Black Friday Deals 2017: What to Expect

Where other beauty brands release information about their Black Friday deals in the weeks leading up to the event, Sephora treats the annual shopping heyday a little more like Christmas: You’ve got to wait until the morning of to find out what presents await. But the good news is that, this year, the brand is cluing us in on a few of the Sephora Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals ahead of time through its app. What we know so far: the tidings aren’t going to disappoint.

While there’s still zero sign of Black Friday on Sephora’s website (again: it’s pro at keeping info under lock and key), opening up the brand’s app gets you an exclusive look at the Black Friday deals to come. Upon clicking in, the app’s banner immediately lets you know that you’re in a good place by showing three magic words: “$15 & Under.” You can’t click to shop any of the offerings yet—we’ll update this post when they’re accessible—but the common denominator is that the sale will include kits on kits. If you want to shop other cheap and excellent options in the meantime, this guide has you covered.

Breaking it down by category, for makeup options expect to see the rosy-pink Makeup For Ever The Artist Neutrals Mini Lip Duo for $15. Buxom has a Pout On the Prowl Lip Set for $12, including a frosty lip gloss and fire engine red lipstick, while Lancôme has a Dramatic Eye Duo for $15 that pairs its mascara with a deep black, pencil eyeliner. Taking care of lips and cheeks, Bite Beauty has a Mini Multistick Duo for $15, and Sephora Collection has a very wearable Winter Queen Palette for $10.

Your skin care needs will also be extremely covered. Sephora Collection is offering a foot mask, face mask, and micellar water trio in its $10 Colorful Cleanse & Treat set; Ole Henriksen’s Dashing Through the Glow Refresh Anywhere Set comes with what looks like its mask and foaming cleanser for $12; It Cosmetics It’s Your Secret To Beautiful Skin combines its new Miracle Water and Secret Sauce Clinically Advanced Miraculous Anti-Aging Moisturizer for $15; Philosophy’s $15 Always On the Glow set couples its Renewed Hope in A Jar Refreshing & Refining Moisturizer and Renewed Hope in A Jar Overnight Recharging & Refining Moisturizer; and Jack Black’s Deep Dive Glycolic Facial Cleanser rounds out the skin care deals with a $10 price tag (important to note, these are our best guesses from the app’s pictures. We’re pretty confident, but the products may vary—so if you want to lock down your gift list now, this curated guide of under $100 favorites is where to go).

Two perfume kits and a hair set round out what we know is on its way. From Tocca, expect a $10 Tocca Favorites kit of three rollerball fragrances; from Atelier Cologne, a $12 Perfume Ornament spotlights its Vanille Insensée and Orange Sanguine fragrances; and from Alterna Haircare Caviar, a three-piece Moisture Kit trio features travel sizes from its Moisture line for $10.

More than ever, this year is projecting to be a great Black Friday and Cyber Monday for shopping from your couch (or your phone, under the table at dinner). According to WWD, total Black Friday sales are predicted to reach over the $100 billion mark for 2017. (To put that in perspective, that’s a 14 percent growth from 2016, and e-commerce is expected to rake in 10 percent more than in-store sales.) All of which is to say, from this mere preview, we know that November 24 is going to be competitive.

With Black Friday just a few weeks away, there’s the natural urge to save your pennies in preparation. But Sephora plays by no societally condoned rules or government-recognized holidays. Best Beauty Gift Ideas for 2017 at Sephora

One of our most solid holiday-coping strategies this year: Never shop for beauty gifts alone when you can just steal ideas from Santa’s helpers—A.K.A. Sephora employees. That’s right, we don’t think it’s much of a stretch to declare the beauty superstore our North Pole, the place where many of the season’s most wish-worthy gift sets, steals, and splurges are assembled and distributed. And who better to help us navigate this sparkly, often-overwhelming (in a good way) beauty wonderland than the people who work there? So we went ahead and polled staffers to find out what products they’re giving out this year. Their answers will have you knocking off your entire gift list way before December 24.

Sephora Cast Its Own Employees for Its Most Diverse Campaign Yet

Gone are the days of homogenous beauty ads in mall windows and on billboards. Sephora just announced its new holiday campaign, and following in the steps of recent inclusive campaigns from Wet ‘n’ Wild, CoverGirl, and Glossier, Sephora’s latest roll-out is its most diverse campaign yet.

For its new Reach Out and Gift campaign, Sephora didn’t only go the “real person” route for the models featured—it dipped directly from a pool of its own store employees (or “cast members” as they’re called) for the first time ever. Over a thousand consultants applied to be in it, Racked reports, and the final 10 includes everyone from a Muslim immigrant working at a Sephora in San Francisco, to a woman with alopecia working in Oregon, to an esthetician with dreadlocks from Beverly Hills. According to brand reps, the campaign is meant to focus on the personal aspect of beauty, rather than sell whatever the latest glittery holiday offering is. (However, if it is glitter that you’re after, please direct yourself to the Fenty Beauty holiday collection immediately.)

No shade to past campaigns or gold eye shadow, but it’s a refreshing change to see people wearing makeup in a way that’s personal to them. With the recent progress we’ve seen for inclusion and diversity in beauty, Sephora’s campaign suggests that this is a long-lasting shift in how retailers are thinking about product shades and advertising. When even the Sephora’s of the world realize that we want to see images of people like ourselves in ads—and that individuality is aspirational—that’s no small thing.

The “models” starring in Sephora’s new holiday campaign

The campaign rolls out in stores and online starting this Thursday, November 2. No word on whether it’ll make you feel better while you’re waiting in line on Black Friday, but at least you’ll know you’re giving money to a brand that gets it.
