'Big Little Lies' Season 2 Will Reportedly Start Filming in 2018


It’s (almost) official: Big Little Lies is coming back for a second season on HBO.

On Thursday, Variety reported that Reece Witherspoon, executive producer and star of the show, has dropped out of Noah Hawley’s Fox Searchlight film Pale Blue Dot to make room in her schedule for Big Little Lies instead. HBO has not confirmed that a season two is indeed in the works to the media, however, TVLine reported that the team behind the wildly successful show are eyeing a 2018 production schedule.

And although it may seem like a no-brainer to greenlight a hit show that won eight Emmy awards, approving a show starring four A-list actresses, each with their own jam-packed schedules, is far more complicated than it appears.

“We’re kicking around ideas and trying to lasso the talent [and] get the band back together,” Big Little Lies EP/writer David E. Kelley told TVLine in late October. “It’s just a lot of logistical things. But I’m optimistic because everyone wants to do it. We feel we still have storytelling to do. No decision has been made yet, but we’re hopeful. Where we left it, I felt like it did open the opportunity for a lot more storytelling.”

And don’t worry about the writing on season two: Deadline reports that Big Little Lies author Liane Moriarty has already written a short novella that picks up where season one left off.

The one person who won’t be returning to the HBO set is director Jean-Marc Vallée, who, according to TVLine, has scheduling conflicts. The show is now apparently on the hunt for a female director, which could help this already stellar show become even better the second time around.

Selena Gomez Is Reportedly Giving Justin Bieber Another Chance Because He Was Her 'First Love'


However you feel about Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber reuniting out of the blue in the last few weeks, there’s no denying that they’re becoming closer and closer with every church service and hockey game they attend together. It’s been reported that Justin is actively looking to rekindle his romance with Selena, and while sources previously claimed that the “Wolves” singer is just looking to rebuild a platonic friendship with J.Biebs, a new report from People reveals that she might actually be willing to give him yet another chance on the boyfriend front.

As a source told the magazine, Selena “always saw the best” in Justin, even throughout his many legal troubles, tumultuous life in the spotlight, and their own on-again, off-again relationship. “Justin was Selena’s first love. He will always have a special place in her heart. She’s always held out hope that one day the circumstances and timing would be right,” the source added. “There have been times in the past where Selena was excited and thought things would work out again, but then was disappointed [by how things turned out].”

Another insider told People that Justin has also never been able to get over Selena and is currently on his best behavior in an effort to try to win her back. “They’re having a great time together. Neither are seeing anyone else, and they seem happy to leave it at this for now,” the source said. “Spending time together makes them both very happy. For Justin, no one ever came close to comparing to Selena. He always thought she was the most special, and now seems mature enough to realize Selena deserves the best.”

Selena, 25, and Justin, 23, who dated on and off between 2011 and 2014, were first spotted hanging out again last month. At the time, sources said Justin had reached out after hearing about Selena’s kidney transplant, and that the pair had reconnected while attending the same church. Not long after, however, Selena and The Weeknd broke up after 10 months of dating, and the rumor mill kicked into high gear, with countless “sources” and Jelena fans speculating that the two pop stars were actually more than friends. Of course, matching outfits and rented-out restaurants don’t necessarily equal a relationship, and neither celebs have confirmed any romance rumors—yet.

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber Are Reportedly Back Together


In the twist even your grandmother without Internet saw coming, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are officially dating again. According to a new report from Us Weekly, the former flames are now 100 percent boyfriend and girlfriend—like it’s 2011 and Bieber has the swooped hair that gave 10-year-olds everywhere heart palpitations. I’m simultaneously shook and not shook. Shook because, well, you all read my post from yesterday about the cuddle session from hell. But I’m not shook because the signs have been here for days.

Come on, what did you think was happening when reports surfaced last week that Bieber and Gomez hung out at her Los Angeles pad? They weren’t just baking cookies and listening to Stars Dance deep cuts!

Or when they grabbed breakfast on Sunday and went to church afterwards? (Hillsong Church is, allegedly, what brought them back together in the first place.) And as I said earlier, they were literally cuddling yesterday after riding bikes like 9-year-old kids hopped up on Pixy Stix. Hell, Gomez is even wearing Bieber’s hockey jerseys now. His sweaty hockey jerseys! Selena Gomez is voluntarily wearing dirty clothes belonging to the guy who has a Christmas album called Under the Mistletoe. If that’s not love, then lock me in a padded room and put “Baby” on repeat.

“Selena and Justin are back together,” a source tells Us Weekly. “Selena and The Weeknd just fizzled and ended amicably—it wasn’t dramatic, and it wasn’t about Justin. But Selena always had feelings for Justin. Her friends want her to be cautious because she has been in such a good place post-surgery.”

Damn straight she should be cautious. This is the guy who caused Taylor Swift to make this face:

For real, though, I’m a diehard Selena Gomez fan. If this rumor is true and she’s happy, then that’s amazing. Gomez deserves to find bliss—especially after the year she’s had. But fingers crossed Bieber has his act together and doesn’t cause the sequel to “The Heart Wants What It Wants.” My heart certainly doesn’t want that.

Kendall Jenner Has Reportedly Made Things Official With Blake Griffin


Just a week after Kendall Jenner was spotted sitting court side at the Clippers vs. Lakers basketball game, supporting her rumored beau Blake Griffin, a power forward for the Clippers, Us Weekly is confirming the relationship. They are officially an item—or, at least, as official as something can be when it’s confirmed by anonymous sources.

“They’re legit. They’re a full-on couple,” the source told Us. “Kendall has been going to a lot of his games and they have been enjoying time at home when Blake is in town. They’re good.”

The two have been spotted out on multiple occasions before, always looking smiley and cuddly. Recently, the pair took a trip to Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights in Hollywood with Kylie Jenner and her BF Travis Scott. At that point, a source told People that “[Kendall] thinks [Blake] is dorky and funny, but also cool and sexy—he has a certain attractive ‘swagger,'” and that “they are seeing each other more, and Blake is doing everything in his power to make Kendall his girlfriend.”

There were also several restaurant dates between the two as well as an outing to catch It and they were even spotted at a concert. But this is the first time that someone close to the couple has said that they’re more than just hanging out.

Previously, Kendall was linked to A$AP Rocky, but the supermodel also never officially confirmed that pairing. It’s unsurprising considering she previously told Harper’s Bazaar she prefers to stay tight-lipped about her personal life (as is her right). “If I’m not fully, fully in it with someone, why would I make it public to everyone else?” she said.

Emma Stone Is Reportedly Dating 'SNL' Writer Dave McCary


Bad news, Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield “shippers”: Emma’s got a new boyfriend, and there’s no Spidey suit in sight.

The La La Land star is dating Saturday Night Live writer and segment director Dave McCary, Page Six reports. The pair reportedly met when Emma hosted the show last December, and they attended the premiere of his film, Brigsby Bear, together in June, though no one seemed to notice they were together.

McCary isn’t the only SNL staffer who may be making an appearance on some Hollywood red carpets this year: Ben Affleck and Scarlett Johansson are also dating people they met during their own appearances on the show. According to Page Six, hosting SNL is apparently the “new Tinder.” Ha!

Even though it looks like any rekindling of the Stone/Garfield romance is officially off the table, the pair, who met while filming The Amazing Spiderman in 2012 and dated for three years, have managed to maintain a strong friendship in the years since their breakup. In August, Emma watched Andrew star in a performance of Angels in America in London, which fans took to mean that they were getting back together. Even though that apparently wasn’t the case, Emma has been very clear about the fact that Andrew is still someone she “loves very much.”

In true ex goals fashion, the support goes both ways. Earlier this year, Andrew visibly teared up while watching Emma receive the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in La La Land. In the past, he’s called himself Emma’s “biggest fan as an artist” and said that he is “constantly inspired by how she handles and holds herself.” He also noted that it’s been “bliss” to watch the successes she’s achieved throughout her career, and that it has been “wonderful to have that kind of support for each other,” calling it “nothing but a beautiful thing.”

The good news is, this means at least Andrew Garfield is still on the market.

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez Are Reportedly House Hunting Together

Jenny from the block is reportedly on the hunt for a new block to settle into. According to “multiple sources,” Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are currently house-hunting together, People reports.

One source close to Lopez told the magazine that the pair are “looking for an apartment together for the whole family.” The insider added, “They will invest together in a new home when they find the perfect one. They are starting to make more financial decisions together. It’s nice for Jennifer to be with a man who has his own money and spends it wisely.”

The source also noted that J.Lo is “truly the happiest she has ever been” since she started dating A-Rod earlier this year. “They really just complement each other and make each other better people. She thinks the world of Alex and is very excited about their future together.” Another source said of J.Rod’s relationship, “They are similar in that they are the embodiment of working towards your dreams.”

The pair, who together put on the One Voice: Somos Live! A Concert for Disaster Relief last weekend to raise money for Puerto Rico, began dating in February. Since then, they’ve gushed over each other on Instagram and had family gatherings with Rodriguez’s two daughters and Lopez’s son and daughter, and they rang in their July birthdays with a joint party in Miami.

Rumors began swirling last month that the couple were planning to go full Brady Bunch and combine their two families into one New York City home. As a source told the New York Post, “Jennifer and Alex are looking at apartments together that would be large enough for the both of them and their children. Jennifer already has a place in NoMad, but Alex is currently based in Miami and doesn’t have an apartment in the city.” Earlier this month, the deal seemed all but sealed when J.Lo put her NoMad home on the market for $27 million, seemingly to clear some space on her real estate roster for a joint family home. Keep your eyes peeled, New Yorkers: The former Yankee and the Bronx-born singer could be coming to a block near you.
