The Photos of Princess Charlotte and Prince George Arriving to Meet Their Brother Are Too Much

Princess Charlotte and Prince George officially have a younger brother. Kensington Palace announced on Monday morning (April 23) that Kate Middleton has given birth to her third child, a boy. Not much is known about royal baby number three yet, but the Palace revealed on Twitter he was born at 11:01 A.M., weighs 8 pounds, 7 ounces and that Prince William was in the room for the birth.

Until we learn more information, though, these pics of Princess Charlotte and Prince George arriving to St. Mary’s hospital in Paddington, London (where Middleton gave birth) to meet their new sibling should tide you over. Dozens of paparazzi captured snaps of the brother and sister, ages 4 and 2, respectively, holding their father’s hands and walking into the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s. Princess Charlotte even waved to the media in a few of the pics, which is so cute, royal family aficionados may explode.

Below, check out two videos of Princess Charlotte, Prince George, and Prince William walking into the hospital wing:

Kensington Palace posted an official pic of the children and Prince William entering the hospital, too. “Prince George and Princess Charlotte arrive with The Duke of Cambridge at St Mary’s Hospital to meet their little brother,” officials wrote in the caption. Just look at Charlotte’s wave!

And here are a few more pics, because I know you want more. I’m living for Prince George’s head-to-toe lewk.

Prince George is probably thinking to himself, “Are there ‘gonna be snacks in mom’s hospital room?” Relatable.

Even Kate Middleton and Prince William Have Ikea Furniture

As any viewer of The Crown will tell you, the many homes and palaces belonging to the Windsors are already full of furniture, but understandably, not much of it is kid-friendly. That’s why Prince William and Kate Middleton got Prince George and Princess Charlotte furnishings in Kensington Palace from a much more inexpensive source: IKEA. Yes, royals and recent grads have at least one store in common.

On the Swedish leg of their current royal tour, the couple, currently expecting their third child, stopped by ArkDes, the national museum of architecture and design in Stockholm. There, they toured “an exhibition of a competition for young Swedish designers which IKEA has been involved with since it began 20 years ago,” per U.K. outlet the Mirror. Before the royal visit, Marcus Engman, IKEA’s head of design, mused, “It would be nice to know if they have any IKEA furniture. I know that the royals in Sweden have. Why would it not be possible for them? There is a great variety. Our beds are really good, and affordable. You get a lot for your money there.”

Affordability probably isn’t a huge factor for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, but after the tour, Engman revealed that they told him they “have IKEA pieces for the children’s rooms” and expressed interest in the IKEA design process. “I’m proud that we can suit everybody,” said Engman. “That’s what we want IKEA to be—for the many people of the world, both royalty and ordinary people.” The royal couple also offered their condolences on the recent passing of Ingvar Kamprad, who founded furniture giant IKEA when he was just 17 years old.

The Mirror’s “royal source” said that Engman’s recollection was “very plausible” (whatever that means) but couldn’t confirm which, if any, IKEA pieces Charlotte and George have. Maybe they just didn’t want to start a run on Mammuts or Stuvas or whatever; items Kate picks tend to sell out, after all.

Now, what we’d really like to know is, did Will and Kate assemble this IKEA furniture themselves?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Are Getting a Very Scottish Wedding Present From Queen Elizabeth II

On May 19, 2018, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be married at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. And when it comes to who is taking who’s name, the royals do things a little differently. On their wedding day, the couple will be given totally new titles. Of course, one title just won’t be enough for the royal couple: In addition to their English titles, Queen Elizabeth II will honor each of them with a second Scottish title on their wedding day.

When Prince William and Kate Middleton were married in 2011, the Queen gave them the formal English titles of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Harry and Meghan will follow suit: It’s expected that the couple will be named the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, according to Harper’s Bazaar UK.

However, it’s tradition for Queen Elizabeth to bestow the newlyweds with Scottish titles as well—and the royals are all about tradition. In addition to their Cambridge titles, William and Kate were given the titles of Earl and Countess of Strathearn. Prince Charles is known as the Duke of Rothesay in Scotland, and Prince Philip is known as the Duke of Edinburgh. According to the Press and Journal, these official titles are used when the royals are in Scotland.

As for Harry and Meghan? They’ll likely become the Earl and Countess of Ross. Ross is expected to go to Harry as it has a history of being given to royal second sons.

Their official titles won’t be announced until their wedding day, so we’ll have to wait until then to know exactly which Scottish titles they receive. In the meantime, we’ll be trying to memorize all of the different royal names to keep them straight.

New Video from Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Outing Shows Her Calling Him a Feminist

Yesterday, my favorite couple that I don’t actually know IRL—Meghan Markle and Prince Harry—stepped out in Wales to visit Cardiff Castle and partake in various activities, some involving adorable children. While I loved the outfit, the obvious affection between the two, and, yes, that perfectly messy bun there is one Twitter video that stood out among the rest.

Markle is graciously greeting the crowds and squeezed in between thank yous and a brief discussion about the weather, you can hear her respond to a comment with, “Well, he’s a feminist too…so there’s that.” And while she doesn’t say Harry’s name specifically, I think we can safely assume that the prince is the “he” in question. The reporter, Jack Royston, who initially posted the video tweeted that Markle was speaking to Jessica Phillips who had remarked that she loved having a feminist in the royal family. Cheers to that, indeed!

It should come as no surprise that Markle identifies as a feminist, but it’s still really fantastic every time a woman in the public eye embraces feminism as there are sadly still so many stigmas attached to the word. But this is a woman who was out here battling sexism as an 11-year-old. And now we know that Prince Harry is one too—a statement made in such a casual way as if to say “well, of course he is!” Now, Kate and William could absolutely be feminists too. We just haven’t heard anything about it, and that’s fine too. But what a fantastic breath of fresh air Meghan Markle breathes into a institution like the monarchy that can be seen as stiff, to say the least. I hope young girls see this clip and recognize that feminist partners, even if they’re not princes, are something to seek out.

Here’s to more public and unabashed feminism around the world in 2018

These New Photos of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Just Feel Right

Some things in life just go hand in hand: chocolate and peanut butter, french fries and ketchup, Taylor Swift and snakes…the list goes on and on. And it includes the newest royal couple, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and castles. Context: Markle and Prince Harry are engaged, which means they’re about to spend a good chunk of their time in castles. Their wedding, for example, is taking place at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. They also live in a cottage on the Kensington Palace grounds. Basically, at any given moment, you can assume Markle and Prince Harry are in the vicinity of a castle. And today (January 18) is no exception: The couple made a visit today to Cardiff Castle in Wales, and the photos of them frolicking outside just feel right. What can I say? Some people were just born to be around castles. Take a gander at these cute pics, and you’ll see what I mean. All is right with the world.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Just Made an Appearance at a Radio Show

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are no doubt busy planning their upcoming wedding, but that hasn’t stopped them from fulfilling their royal duties—especially when it comes to public appearances. Their first outing happened just days after their engagement announcement, at the Terrence Higgins Trust World AIDS Day charity in Nottingham on December 1. Christmas proved to be a busy time for the couple, too; remember this photo-opt they did alongside Kate Middleton and Prince William (starring Markle’s stunning Philip Treacy hat)?

And they’ve continued their packed schedule in 2018, starting with a stop at Reprezent FM studios in Brixton, a youth-skewing radio station that helps teens develop professional media skills.

It was pandemonium when the future Duke and Duchess arrived, of course—thousands of people were cheering. In fact, The Telegraph reports Prince Harry made a remark to Markle about how the crowd was “so loud” and asked her to “give them a wave.” Check out the video, below, to see this craziness in action.

Inside, the studio was a little calmer. Kensington Palace captured this photo of Markle and Prince Harry meeting with one of Reprezent FM’s hosts, Glory, during her show.

Markle and Prince Harry also took the time to sit down with some of the young people at Reprezent FM and hear about what they’re learning.

And here’s another arrival video, where Markle gives the crowd an iconic wave.

Plus, this charming clip of Markle and Prince Harry using the studio’s audio equipment.

Here are more photos of the couple looking so in love, because we know you can’t get enough:

Markle kept her look simple but chic, opting for a black sweater with her hair swooped up in a bun. Prince Harry looked dapper, as always, in a blazer/sweater combination. Fingers crossed they’ll sit down for an interview the next time they stop by the station. We need more moments!
