Madonna Says Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Can Move Into Her NYC Apartment


Madonna is in the market for a subletter, apparently, and she has two high-profile tenants in mind: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. The Madame X singer posted an Instagram video on Tuesday, February 4, saying she’d love to have Meghan and Harry sublet her apartment in New York City if they’re looking. You see, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently announced they’re stepping down as senior members of the royal family and will be splitting their time between North America and the U.K. Right now it appears they’ve taken up residence in Canada, but Madonna is urging the couple to move to Manhattan—to her Central Park West condo, specifically.

“Harry, don’t run off to Canada. It’s so boring there,” Madonna said in her recent IG video. “I’ll let them sublet my apartment in Central Park West. It’s a two-bedroom. It’s got the best view of Manhattan. An incredible balcony. Buckingham Palace has got nothing on CPW.”

Confusing Canada shade aside (“boring”?!), I’m all for this idea. Of course, this probably won’t happen any time soon. Madonna’s clearly just being cheeky here—and even if she were serious, according to the Daily Mail, she’s required by building rules to be present whenever guests, and even family, stay at her apartment. Seeing as how she’s currently overseas for her Madame X Tour, that’s a problem.

But let’s just take a second to imagine Madonna, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle all living together. As roommates. Would Markle start wearing an eye patch to match Madonna’s current aesthetic? Would Madonna lull Baby Archie to sleep every night by singing “Like a Prayer”? Would she make Prince Harry learn the choreography to “Vogue”? All I know is if this happened, Madonna and Queen Elizabeth II would have to cross paths (again) at some point. I need the Queen of Pop and the Queen of England to be friends.

No, Meghan Markle Won't Be Appearing on Reality TV


Now that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are independent from the royal family, a question remains about how they’ll earn income. Already, some have speculated that Markle might return to acting or do more voiceover work, like she is said to be doing for Disney. But there’s one thing we liely won’t see her on: reality television.

Previous sources claimed that Markle was scheduled to make “multiple appearances” on the upcoming Canadian reality series “I Do, Redo,” which stars her best friend, Jessica Mulroney. The series is made up of 10 episodes and follows 10 couples revisiting |first-time wedding disasters before re-making the wedding dreams.” Markle was married once before Prince Harry, and they both live in Canada now, so it did briefly seem like a possibility.

However, CTV Communications clarified in a tweet that the reports aren’t true: “The Duchess of Sussex does not appear in upcoming @CTV series I Do, Redo.”

The news is a bit disappointing to fans who might have been looking forward to hearing Markle’s wedding tips, but there’s no doubt she’ll find some other interesting work now that she’s moved away from royal duties. And reportedly, she’s looking forward to this new chapter: A source recently told Us Weekly that the duchess “loves the idea of being the breadwinner.

“She has no plans to do another show like Suits, but Harry’s been encouraging her to do more voice-over work, writing, producing, and directing in her free time,” the source added. Other reports have alleged that Markle’s also “actively looking” for a new agent or manager.

Prince Harry's Close Friend Explains Why He and Meghan Markle Stepped Down


Hopefully Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and baby Archie are settling into their new North American life nicely after stepping down as senior members of the royal family. While we still don’t know exactly what their post-palace life will look like—Markle is reportedly looking for a new agent or manager—we are getting new insight into all that led to their big decision.

The prince’s longtime friend, polo star Nacho Figueras, spoke out about Harry in a new ABC special, Royal Divide: Harry, Meghan and The Crown. He offered more insight as to why the duke and duchess stepped down as senior royals. “I spoke to Harry a few days ago,” he said. “He has suffered a lot from all of the things that have happened to him. He wants to live a normal life, as normal as his life is going to be, right? Because when you have a thousand paparazzi outside your house in Canada waiting to get a picture of your son that’s not very normal.”

Figueras hinted at the struggles Prince Harry’s mother, Princess Diana, had with the press—including their possible culpability in the Paris car accident that took her life. “He’s protecting his family, he’s protecting his wife and his child,” he said. “He was a son of someone that has suffered the attack from the press firsthand, and it’s undeniable, and he doesn’t want for that to happen to his family.”

That certainly tracks with what we heard from Prince Harry himself in a speech he gave before leaving England to reunite with Markle and Archie in Canada. “The decision that I have made for my wife and I to step back is not one I made lightly. It was so many months of talks after so many years of challenges,” he said. “I’ve accepted this knowing it doesn’t change who I am or how committed I am, but I hope it helps you understand what it had come to, that I would step my family back from all I have ever known to take a step forward into what I hope can be a more peaceful life.”

Meghan Markle Is Reportedly ‘Actively Looking’ for an Agent or Manager


When Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made the shocking announcement that they would be stepping down from their roles as senior members of the British royal family, everyone quickly started wondering how they would support themselves. The couple made it very clear in their initial statement that they wanted to move toward “financial independence” and, indeed, they will no longer take public funding.

According to Us Weekly, Markle is already making moves on the professional front—which is not at all surprising, considering she’s the only member of the Sussex fam who’s held a job out in the real world. Before marrying Harry, she was a successful actor and lifestyle blogger (as always, R.I.P. The Tig). “Meghan is actively looking for representation. She has begun outreach,” Us Weekly’s source said. “It can be a manager or an agent, but she’s reaching out to people to find someone to represent her for future professional projects.” Earlier reports stated Markle “loves the idea of being the breadwinner.”

Now this could mean many things and doesn’t necessarily signal a return to acting. Sorry Suits fans, but I highly doubt a Mike Ross and Rachel Zane spin-off is in the works. An agent or manager could also be deployed to secure lucrative speaking engagements, book deals, or perhaps an Obama-style production deal at Netflix. She and Harry already batted around the idea of voiceover work with Disney chief Bob Iger at The Lion King premiere last year in London, and it’s been reported that the duchess signed on for a project with money going to an elephant charity.

But who knows? Maybe Meghan Markle does wants to return to her acting roots. Either way, whoever ends up representing her will be able to score a meeting with pretty much anyone in Hollywood on her behalf. I’d like to formally request a joint project with Beyoncé and Michelle Obama. Can you imagine?

Meghan Markle Reportedly 'Loves the Idea of Being the Breadwinner’


Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are settling into their new lives following the media circus surrounding their decision to step back from the royal family. Now that they’ve come to an agreement with the Queen (it includes dropping their royal titles and gaining financial independence), many people are still wondering how they’re gong to make things work. But one person who isn’t stressed, according to sources, is Meghan Markle.

Exhibit A: She was photographed earlier this week smiling and hiking with Baby Archie on Vancouver Island. While the family is working on getting tighter about paparazzi and privacy, the images hint that she’s happy having some distance from the bubble that is Buckingham Palace. According to sources who spoke to Us Weekly, she’s really looking forward to going back to work and figuring out professional arrangements to support her family. “Meghan loves the idea of being the breadwinner,” the source said. “She has no plans to do another show like Suits, but Harry’s been encouraging her to do more voiceover work, writing, producing, and directing in her free time.”

A video surfaced earlier this moth of Prince Harry telling Disney CEO Bob Iger at The Lion King premiere in London that she was interested in more voiceover opportunities. Markle, who was raised in California, did tons of different jobs before her acting career took off: she interned at the Argentine embassy and she did a lot of calligraphy work. “She doesn’t come from millions,” another source told Us Weekly. “She’s worked hard to get to where she is today.”

Whatever they decide, it seems that Prince Harry is completely on board with Markle’s plans. “He’s really excited about the next chapter in their lives,” one of the sources explained. Personally, we can’t wait to see what these two do next.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Aren’t Playing Around With the Paparazzi in Canada


Prince Harry and Meghan Markle seem to have officially finalized their new relationship with the royal family. (If you’re unfamiliar, the couple announced two weeks ago they’d be stepping down as senior members of the royal family and attempting to become financially independent.) While Prince Harry was still sorting out a couple of details in London, several photos of Markle hiking with baby Archie on Vancouver Island surfaced yesterday. But the couple isn’t letting this slide. According to TMZ, they asked their lawyers to warn publications about publishing or reprinting the pictures.

TMZ reports that Markle and Prince Harry filed a cease-and-desist letter through their lawyers. It reportedly says that “there are serious safety concerns about how the paparazzi are driving and the risk to life they pose,” and notes that the person who took the images was hiding behind bushes watching Markle in order to get it (ick). They also note that photographers have been using telephoto lenses and setting up camp right outside where they’ve been living on Vancouver Island.

All of this is a sign that no matter what happens with their new royal arrangement, the couple is looking to protect their privacy, first and foremost. They announced last October that they had initiated legal proceedings against the British tabloid Mail on Sunday, as well as its parent company, Associated Newspapers, for its use of a private, intimate letter Meghan Markle wrote to her father. Several of her lawyers also corrected a bunch of false stories written about her over the last few years, which some think is what ultimately triggered the couple’s stepping back as senior royals. Now that they have a new system in place, it’s clear they’re setting parameters and boundaries for what they want their new life to look like in Canada.

“We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages,” Markle and Prince Harry said about their new roles in the royal family.
