Madison Prewett Says Peter Weber Asked Her to Get Back Together Days Before He Reunited With Kelley Flanagan

It seems impossible, but somehow the Bachelor drama from Peter Weber’s season continues to rage on. This time it comes courtesy of Madison Prewett, who says in a new interview that Weber texted her about getting back together just days before he was spotted with another woman from his season, Kelley Flanagan.

Let me back up and give you some context. You’ll recall Weber’s Bachelor season finale, when he proposed to Hannah Ann Sluss even though he had lingering feelings for Prewett. Well, that was only the start of the story. Weber ended up breaking things off with Sluss to get back together with Prewett, only for that relationship to end as well. Intermixed with this was Flanagan, the inexplicable “favorite” of Weber’s mom, Barb, whom he had actually met by chance at a hotel before shooting The Bachelor. A few weeks after Weber ended his relationship with Prewett, he and Flanagan were photographed together in Chicago looking awfully flirty. Weber says they’re not dating, but they are currently self-isolating together and making TikTok videos.

Now, enter Prewett again. On the April 21st episode of Kaitlyn Bristowe’s Off the Vine podcast, she claimed Weber actually texted her about getting back together “two days before he was spotted in Chicago” with Flanagan.

“He was, like, calling me and texting me being like, ‘I miss you, let’s get back together,’” Prewett alleged, according to Us Weekly. “I mean, I think that to me was a little confusing, but I think, like, when you break up and you’re going through a heartbreak and you just came off a show that was emotionally, physically and [every] which way exhausting, everybody handles that differently. Everybody leans on different things.”

Prewett also said on the podcast she was “thrown off” by Flanagan’s pairing up with Weber because the two women were apparently close during filming.

“This is when it gets a little interesting. We were best friends, actually. We were inseparable throughout the entire process,” Prewett said. “I was definitely hurt and thrown off by that whole situation. I want the best for the both of them, but I definitely was thrown off.”

Regardless, it’s water under the bridge now. In fact, when fans started thinking Prewett and a few other contestants from Weber’s season threw shade at Flanagan on TikTok (see below) she shut that down completely. (A few of the women participated in the “Don’t Rush” challenge overdubbed with “Take Your Man,” and when a fan asked where Flanagan was, Prewett replied, “With our ex lol.”)

“Lolllll it was just a joke!! No shade. All the love for them both,” Prewett then reportedly wrote in an Instagram comment on a Bachelor fan page, per Cosmopolitan.

Hold your breath for more Peter Weber–Kelley Flanagan–Madison Prewett drama. Something tells me this is far from over.

Watch a Woman Meet Her Newborn Son for the First Time After Being on a Ventilator for 11 Days Due to Coronavirus

Yes, there is still good news in the world in the time of coronavirus. We may be in the middle of a global health crisis the likes of which none of us has ever experienced, but every day inspiring stories of hope, help, and recovery are emerging and for that we’re so grateful.

Take Yanira Soriano, a woman who contracted COVID-19 while she was also 34 weeks pregnant in Long Island, New York. CNN’s Jake Tapper told her incredible story in a Twitter thread and the ending is a very happy one—but it didn’t begin that way.

Soriano became so ill doctors had to put her in a medically induced coma while also hooking her up to a ventilator to help her breathe. They were concerned she would not survive and delivered her baby via an emergency C-section. The infant was transferred to another hospital for monitoring. Miraculously, after 11 days, Soriano began to recover from the coronavirus. On April 15, she was released from the hospital to cheers from doctors and nurses.

But even more importantly, she was finally able to meet her son Walter for the very first time, with cameras recording her husband putting the newborn into her arms as she sat in her wheelchair surrounded by the hospital’s staff. Warning: It’s incredibly emotional—but the rare happy ending that we all need to see so much right now.

The online response to the story shows just how much the world is hungry for happy news during a really tough time. “I’ve sent this to my son who is an ER doctor,” one person tweeted. “These people do so much work to save lives and it’s easy to forget that they’re humans with emotions too. This is a lovely thread which portrays that very well.”

“That’s the sweetest thing, I’ve seen in awhile! I’m crying happy tears! Thank you for sharing. So many heros! [sic],” another wrote.

We hope Walter and his mom had a very wonderful first night together at home. Now, we’ll just be watching this video on a loop to keep our mood lifted.

This Eerie Video Shows Italians Sharing What They Would Have Told Themselves 10 Days Ago About the Coronavirus

As the coronavirus (COVID-19) spreads in America, many experts and civilians are looking to Italy as possible glimpse of what our future might hold. That country is currently on lockdown with residents only allowed to leave their homes for absolutely necessary reasons in an effort to slow down the spread of COVID-19.

As of Monday, March 16, the total number of coronavirus cases in Italy was 27,980, up 3,000 from just the day before. Some experts believe Italy is about 10 days ahead of the United States in this ever-evolving situation, which is one of the reasons many states and cities are restricting movement by citizens and closing schools, restaurants, and bars.

In a new video released by the CDC, Italian residents of all ages were asked to film messages to themselves from 10 days ago. What would they told their past selves about the virus’s spread, the ways that life would so drastically change, and what they could have done differently had they known what today would look like?

Their messages are sobering, to say the least, as Italians describe their transitions from normal daily life to quarantine and warn others about not taking the pandemic seriously by continuing to go out just for fun.

Take a look:

“A huge mess is about to happen.”

“The worst case scenario? That’s exactly what will happen.”

“A whole nation stuck at home. Didn’t see that coming, uh?”

“There are currently kids our age intubated and in intensive care.”

“We’ve seen worrisome videos from France and the U.S. of people not taking this thing seriously. This issue is more serious than most of the world believes.”

“You’ll realize that just being able to breathe air in your own house—it’s something you should already be grateful for.”

Watch the full video for yourself below:

As this crisis in America continues to evolve and shift, it’s important to listen to guidance of the scientists and doctors who are telling us to stay home as much as is possible. And perhaps take a cue from Italians, too, who know better than us what’s coming next.

Selena Gomez: Kissing Dylan Sprouse Was ‘One of the Worst Days of My Life’

As far as first kisses go, it sounds like Selena Gomez‘s was pretty darn awkward. Of course, that moment is stressful for just about everyone, but can you imagine it happening on the set of a TV show in front of the entire crew…and possibly your actual crush?

That’s what Gomez had to deal with. During a visit to The Kelly Clarkson Show, she revealed details about this defining moment in her life, even though it wasn’t exactly her favorite memory. The year was 2006 and Gomez had a guest-starring role on Disney’s hit show The Suite Life of Zach & Cody, starring twins Dylan and Cole Sprouse. Obviously, this was before she starred in Wizards of Waverly Place.

First and foremost, she actually had a huge crush on Dylan’s twin brother Cole, who she would not be kissing. “I was obsessed with that show, and I thought we were going to be together,“ she said of the Sprouse now known for his role as Jughead Jones on The CW’s Riverdale. This is not new information. Back in September, Gomez posted an Instagram about her 11-year-old affections. “Apparently my heart was very conflicted between Juan and Cole Sprouse when I was 11,” she wrote.

“Always Juan-upping me,” Cole replied to the post at the time. Reader, we do not know who this Juan boy is. Apologies.

But back to that fateful day in 2006. For episode “A Midsummer’s Nightmare,” Gomez had to kiss Dylan on set and it did not go well. “It was my first kiss — [and] on-camera! It was one of the worst days of my life!“ she said to Clarkson.

Gomez has described this kiss before. “I actually leaned in to kiss him, and I had my eyes closed a little too early and I ended up missing, like, half of his lips,“ she previously told Twist Magazine, according to MTV. “So it ended up being the most awkward kiss in the world…I was 12, so it was okay and it was good. Thank goodness he is such an awesome guy!”

Luckily, Dylan is now dating supermodel Barbara Palvin and working on a number of projects, Cole is dating Lili Reinhart, and Selena Gomez is, well, Selena Gomez. It seems like it all worked out just fine for everyone…except for maybe Juan.

I Lived Like a Downton Abbey Character for 3 Days, and Now the Regular World Is Ruined

Somewhere in the English countryside last week, I was wearing a tiara worth an estimated $195,000 and gliding around a palatial manor. I’ve never been one to care about things like jewlery or clothes, but in that moment I remember thinking, “Yup, this feels right. I’m a royal now.” But then I had to take the tiara off and return to my humdrum, boring life. In what world is that fair? Where is the justice? Better yet, where is my crown?

Now that I’ve had a taste for the royal, finer things in life, I never want to go back. My tiara fitting was just one of the many opulent experiences I had while visiting Hampshire and Highclere, England, the historic locations of the Downton Abbey television series and movie, the latter which hits Blu-ray and DVD on December 17. As you know, the Crawleys aren’t royals themselves, but they did host the king and queen of England at Downton in the movie. And Highclere Castle, the setting of Downton Abbey, is itself quite aristocratic, so there really is no better place to first experience living like a lord or lady (except perhaps Buckingham Palace).

“How much does a banana cost, anyway? $10?” — me after putting on this crown.
