Celebrity Weddings: Here's Everyone Who Got Married in 2020


2019 was a massive year for celebrity weddings: Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas had a glamorous French wedding after an unexpected surprise bash in Vegas (with an Elvis impersonator in attendance, of course) and Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin had an elegant soiree after months of anticipation. Jennifer Lawrence also tied the knot with her boyfriend Cooke Maroney in Newport, Rhode Island; Nicki Minaj announced on Instagram that she’d officially married Kenneth Petty; and Zoe Kravitz and Karl Glusman had a stunning reception in Paris, complete with Kravitz’s famous parents and her Big Little Lies castmates.

It’s going to be hard to top all of the high-profile nuptials from last year, but there are already some major weddings to look forward to in 2020. Wilmer Valderrama and Amanda Pacheco announced their engagement on Jan. 1, and Bachelorette alumnus Roberto Martinez shared he’d popped the big question to his girlfriend Kristiana Elliott. And during the first weekend of the year, Riverdale actor Vanessa Morgan revealed she’d had an exciting few days, sharing shots on Instagram from her wedding to MLB Star Michael Kopech. She posted a video on her stories that showed bright white slippers with the word “BRIDE” written on them in sparkly rhinestones. Kopech had revealed he’d proposed in an Instagram post, in which he wrote to Morgan, “You stayed by my side for these seemingly random changes of my life. You stayed when often times I didn’t deserve it. You’ve loved me for ME from day one. Completely unselfishly. You’re undeniably the spark that reignited my fire.”

Morgan and Kopech might be one of the first big celebrity weddings of the year, but we’ll keep adding to this list of everyone else who says “I do” in 2020.

Here's How Your Favorite Celebrities Celebrated a Happy New Year


Happy New Year—and welcome to a new decade!

Celebs celebrated 2020 everywhere from house parties to their own couches, proving sometimes they are just like us. However, some—like Jennifer Lopez and Kylie Jenner—went super glam for their New Year’s Eve shindigs at undisclosed locations. Reese Witherspoon popped bottles of champagne and Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner busted out goofy glasses, because of course they did.

Here’s how all your favorites said happy new year and hello to 2020.

The power couple rang in 2020 at a party with all of their children. Obviously, it was super glam.

J. Lo also posted a retrospective video looking back at all the happened in 2019—from her engagement to Hustlers. “2019… it’s the last day of a decade… wow… when I think back to 2010… and think of all the things that happened between now and then I smile softly and contently on the inside… because even though some of the tougher moments popped into my head first, I realize I survived them all and they led me into the best time of my life so far,” she wrote on Instagram. “I honestly wouldn’t change a thing…I feel stronger and more at peace with who I am now than I ever have… I hope that you all can look back in the same way and enjoy every moment of your journey. Savor it, enjoy it!!!! It’s the 20’s. Get ready to roar!!! And laugh and dance and live live live! ♥️♥️♥️ “

Leah Remini

Remini joined J. Lo and A-Rod to ring in 2020. “Just because you don’t make the cut doesn’t mean we don’t love you @arod. We just loved our picture more…Happy New Year!!!” she wrote in an Instagram caption.

We’re not sure where they were, but as usual, Jonas and Turner looked to be having the most fun in their 2020 gear. “Happy New Years Everyone! The best year of my life. So far. 2020 vision all they Way! ❤️?,” Jonas posted on Instagram.

Dewan’s daughter Everly was sick so she and boyfriend Steve Kazee spent a quiet evening at home celebrating. The pair will welcome their first child together in 2020.

Here's What Kate Middleton and Prince William Are Reportedly Getting Their Kids For Christmas


What does the most wonderful time of the year look like when you’re a royal? Pretty laid-back—at least, that’s how sources say Kate Middleton and Prince William are planning to celebrate the holidays with their kids. According to insiders who spoke to Us Weekly, the Cambridge parents are focused on making Christmas all about “family and giving back,” but they’ve also got a few surprises for Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis up their very regal sleeves.

The source says that while Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be out of town, Kate Middleton and Co. are heading up to Queen Elizabeth II’s Sandringham estate to welcome Santa as a family. “The way Kate sees it, it’s particularly important for all the royals to reunite and have fun this Christmas, especially after such a turbulent few months,” the source said.

“The kids can barely sleep, they’re so excited. Like every year, they’re going to leave a mince pie out for Santa,” the source continued, adding that the royal children “love dancing to Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want for Christmas [Is You].'”

And their presents sound pretty great, too. Middleton and Prince William aren’t going anything too flashy, according to reports. Princess Charlotte reportedly asked for a pony, but her dad thinks she might be too young and is going with “a toy riding center” instead. “And George is really into tennis and has asked for a new racket,” the source said, adding they’ll also get play cooking sets “because they love making a mess in the kitchen!”

There’s one extra thing they’ll enjoy, as well: sugar. The sources say they’ve been sneaking treats from the Christmas tree, and that’s OK with their mom and dad: “Kate knows, but since it’s Christmas she lets them get away with having a few more sugary treats than usual.” Sounds like a super-cozy, fun time for everyone.

In the Heights: Here's Everything We Know About the Lin-Manuel Miranda Movie

Here’s everything else we know so far about the In the Heights movie.

The release date. The movie opens on June 26, 2020.

The creative team. Miranda, of course, is the man behind the music in the film. Quiara Alegría Hudes, who wrote the book for the musical, is the screenwriter. They both also serve as producers. The movie is directed by Jon M. Chu, of Crazy Rich Asians fame.

“You’re going to hear the word magic a lot today,” Chu said when introducing the trailer. “There’s no other word to express what we felt shooting this movie every day. It starts with Lin and Quiara; they planted this magical seed that they planted into all of us. We had the best summer of our lives.”

The cast. Along with Ramos as Usnavi, the cast also includes Jimmy Smits as Kevin Rosario, Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton) as Benny, Melissa Barrera as Vanessa, Leslie Grace as Nina, Dascha Polanco (Orange Is the New Black) as Cuca, Marc Anthony as Sonny’s father, and Daphne Rubin-Vega as Daniela. Miranda will play the role of Piragüero.

“This is the dream team,” Miranda said. “This is the dream, dream, dream team and some of us have been with this thing for a while…everyone here is a superstar.”

Here's Your First Glimpse of Lizzie McGuire and Ethan Craft on Screen Together


Hilary Duff and her old friends at Lizzie McGuire have been hard at work filming the beloved early aughts show’s reboot for the Disney Plus streaming platform.

But the actor/singer took some time out to meet up with Lizzie McGuire super fan Meghan Trainor to quiz her about some important facts about the show—and surprise her with everybody’s favorite crush, Ethan Craft. Well, actually the actor who played him, Clayton Snyder, but you know what we mean. He even brought out a plate of Ethan’s favorite dish: spaghetti.

“Meghan, Meghan, Meghan. I hope your day is proceeding with fineness,” he says in the video by Billboard. “And if it wasn’t, here’s a plate of the best food in the world, spaghetti.” To say Trainor was surprised and thrilled would be a massive understatement. “Oh my God. It’s Hot Ethan,” she says, blushing and clutching her backpack tightly. “You’re so handsome still. You guys aged so well. You look like Hercules!”

Trainor did pretty well for herself on the quiz, as she and Duff reminisced about The Lizzie McGuire Movie. Duff said she rewatched it recently with her 7-year-old son, Luca. “I actually watched it over the weekend with my son, because I hadn’t seen it since the premiere,” she said. “That was a very big portion of my life and I was like, ‘I’m good for a minute.’”

“[Luca] was in and out, but my future husband [Matthew Koma], he loved it the most,” she continued. “I was like, ‘You’re such a nerd!’”

While we don’t have an exact release date for the Lizzie McGuire reboot yet, we do know that it will pick up with Lizzie’s life as she’s living in Brooklyn and about to turn 30.

“She’s older, she’s wiser, she has a much bigger shoe budget, which is super exciting. She has her dream job. She has kind of the perfect life right now,” Duff has said.

BravoCon 2019: Here's What the Bravo TV Fan Convention Is Really Like


Like with any groups of rabid fans, when you meet a fellow Bravo watcher out in the wild there’s an instant shorthand. Phrases like “bye wig” and “whoop it up” are tossed around. Hopeful plans for drinks at TomTom (L.A.), The Regency (New York), or Old Lady Gang (Atlanta) are made. A discussion of whether or not it’s about the pasta might end with everyone singing “Good As Gold.” Bravo has, without a doubt, turned a cable TV network into a full-on cultural phenomenon.

It’s surprising, then, that we’ve gone this long without a convention to cater to the fans that can’t get enough. That changed this past weekend, when the network hosted its first BravoCon in New York City. The three-day event—which started at $299, with plenty of opportunities for VIP add-ons—featured a mix of opportunities for obsessives to interact with the 88 Bravolebrities (that is, Bravo celebrities) who attended, including panels with the Below Deck cast, dinners prepared by Top Chef contestants, and a pop-up museum dedicated to all things Real Housewives. It was a hit, naturally: Tickets sold out quickly and, according to a statement by Bravo, “We had nearly 10,000 people come through our doors (although that counts some people more than once since some had a multi-day pass).”

“We’ve been noodling around with [BravoCon] for a long time,” Andy Cohen, Bravo’s Executive Vice President of Development and Talent until 2013 and the host of Watch What Happens Live, told reporters on the red carpet before a taping of the talk show on Friday night. (An event that flush fans could spend extra to attend.) “I’m so excited that Bravo finally decided to do it.”

The fans were excited too, of course. Ashley, who came from Arizona, says she bought four tickets to the convention before she even knew who would come with her. Jim says he made new friends on his flight from Chicago to New York—he noticed a group planning their itinerary on the BravoCon app and struck up a conversation. The pack shared a cab from the airport to the hotel. For both, highlights of their weekend were the times they got to interact with their favorite Bravolebrities.

That sentiment rang true for the stars as well. Every Bravolebrity I talked to over the course of the weekend described Bravo fans with similar language—loyal, passionate, and vocal were words that came up often—and cited them as their main reason for wanting to participate in the event. “Oh, the Bravo fans are so passionate,” Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards told me. “They’re so passionate that sometimes it can be a little jarring. I remember my daughter saying to me once, ‘Mom, don’t get your feelings hurt. They’re sports fans. It’s not that they don’t love the Lakers, they just happen to love the Clippers more.’ But when they’re on your side, there’s nobody more passionate. When they’re mad at you it’s the same, but I respect them.”
