Princess Eugenie's Official Wedding Portraits Are Here, and They're Magical

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank tied the knot on Friday with a gorgeous ceremony that reignited the world’s royal wedding fever. And if you thought that things would cool down now that the festivities are over, think again: The couple is keeping all the regal excitement going by releasing their official wedding portraits, shot by photographer Alex Bramall.

The photos include Eugenie and Brooksbank posing with their families and their cadre of page boys and bridesmaids in Windsor’s regal drawing room—images that aren’t unlike the family portraits from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s big day just a few months ago. They show off the full effect of the long, flowing train on Princess Eugenie’s show-stopping bridal gown, designed by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos. The gown made headlines for its deep, V-shape neckline in the back that Princess Eugenie specifically chose to highlight her spinal surgery scar in a gesture of solidarity with others who have or had scoliosis.

Bramall also snapped a black-and-white image of the couple sharing an intimate moment together in the Scottish State Coach after their carriage procession. Finally, a fourth image shows the newlyweds at the Royal Lodge for a private dinner, some time after Princess Eugenie had switched into her sweeping blush-toned reception gown designed by Zac Posen.

“It is an honor and a privilege to be invited to photograph Princess Eugenie and Jack on this most special of days,” Bramall said in a statement.

It’s not the first time he’s shot Princess Eugenie: He actually took some beautiful images of her for a spread in Harper’s Bazaar back in 2016.

The royal affair came, of course, with a royal guest list that featured Markle (who wore Givenchy) and Prince Harry, Kate Middleton (who opted for her go-to designer Alexander McQueen ), Cara Delevingne, and more. This might be the last royal wedding for now, but at least the pictures will keep everyone going for a while longer.

Here's Everything That Happened at Princess Eugenie's Royal Wedding Reception

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brookshank’s wedding ceremony at Windsor Castle on Friday (October 12) had everything we hoped: a stunning Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos gown with a sweet meaning, some rare PDA from Kate Middleton and Prince William, and a viral moment from 5-year-old Prince George and his first cousin Savannah Phillips.

The couple, just like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, were treated to a royal luncheon hosted by Queen Elizabeth II herself. But according to People magazine, the evening reception held at The Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park, owned by Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, is where things really got fun.

According to The Sun, a British tabloid, the park on the property was set up like a carnival, complete with a Ferris wheel, bumper cars, games, and fall-colored string lights.

The English singer Robbie Williams, who’s been friends with Princess Eugenie for many years, also hopped on stage for an impromptu performance of his hit songs and other classics. According to People, Williams’ 6-year-old daughter Theodora—who was a flower girl in the wedding—took the stage with her dad to perform a duet of “Angels.”

On top of the night’s fun activities, George Clooney and Rande Gerber’s Casamigos tequila company, which Brooksbank works for, passed out the good stuff for celebrity guests like Demi Moore, Kate Moss, and Ricky Martin, and a gourmet pizza truck provided the food. Basically, it sounds like the wedding reception of dreams.

The party reportedly will continue into tonight with another carnival-themed party, because why stop at just one? We’re still waiting on the invites, but, you know, there’s still a few hours to go.

Princess Eugenie's New Husband Said the Sweetest Thing When He Saw Her Royal Wedding Dress

Princess Eugenie got married to Jack Brooksbank today (Friday, October 12), which means royal lip readers everywhere were out in full force. That’s fortunate for those of us who didn’t make the extensive guest list and are left trying to piece together the sweet nothings whispered between the two. The best detail to come from these trained experts, though, was the sweet sentiment Jack said as Eugenie walked down the aisle.

The Daily Mail consulted a lip reader who contends that Jack said, “Oh, my heart … oh, break my heart,” when he saw Eugenie in her dress for the first time.

In fact, Brooksbank was so nervous that he forgot to hold his bride’s hand during the ceremony, which didn’t go unnoticed by Eugenie. “Why aren’t you holding my hand?” Eugenie asked him, according to The Sun‘s lip reader—but let’s not be too hard on the groom for his minor slip-up. After all, he did just get married with the whole world watching.

At one point, according to Vogue, Brooksbank was also seen removing his glasses—which he allegedly wore to get a clear glimpse of his bride—to wipe away some tears. He was also probably a little short of breath, after seeing his bride in her stunning bespoke gown, which was designed by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos. The gown was specifically designed to show Eugenie’s spinal scars, which were a result of a surgery she underwent to treat a curvature in her spine when she was young.

“I had an operation when I was 12 on my back, and you’ll see on Friday [at the wedding], but it’s a lovely way to honor the people who looked after me and a way of standing up for young people who also go through this,” Eugenie told ITV’s This Morning prior to the wedding. “I think you can change the way beauty is, and you can show people your scars and I think it’s really special to stand up for that.”

People Think Meghan Markle Is Pregnant Because She Wore a Coat to Princess Eugenie's Wedding

Meghan Markle can’t leave the house (or palace, I should say) without someone thinking she’s pregnant. Just a few weeks ago, she wore her hair straight for the first time, and half the world took that as an undeniable sign she’s with child.

The speculation is ridiculous and invasive, and it keeps getting worse. The Duchess of Sussex attended Princess Eugenie‘s royal wedding on Friday, October 12 wearing a navy coat. Naturally, many people think this somehow means she’s covering up a baby bump. Here are just a few folks on Twitter convinced Markle is “hiding something” because of this one article of clothing:

I’m confused: When did coats become a sign that someone is with child? When did straight hair, for that matter? I, for one, wore three jackets this week and am miraculously not pregnant. In fact, several of the guests at Princess Eugenie’s wedding added coats to their outfits and are also not expecting. Shocking, I know. It’s almost as if saying the words, “I’m pregnant” is the only way to determine if someone’s actually pregnant.

Below, have a look at all the wedding-goers with chic coats but zero buns in the oven.

Cara Delevingne Broke Royal Protocol at Princess Eugenie's Wedding With Her Armani Tux

Though Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton have found subtle ways to subvert royal protocol over the years, they still, for the most part, adhere to it in their day-to-day lives. Outsiders get a taste of the strict rules members of that family are supposed to follow during certain events, like royal weddings. It’s always fun to see how the high-profile, royal-adjacent guests interpret these codes—and, in some cases, chose to break them. At Princess Eugenie’s nuptials, Cara Delevingne used fashion to do just that.

On Friday, October 12, the model and actress attended Princess Eugenie‘s wedding to Jack Brooksbank wearing what Vanity Fair notes is a break from the traditional interpretation of the dress code, which called for “Morning Coat/Day Dress with Hat.” Typically, “morning dress” designates menswear: a coat, waistcoat, and formal trousers. Delevingne flipped those gendered dress conventions, though, by rolling up to St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in a tux by Emporio Armani that fit that bill.

For the ceremony, she wore her “morning dress” best: a white button-down shirt, gray necktie, black waistcoat with knee-length tails, black cummerbund, and black cropped pants.

Hey, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank invitation didn’t actually specify a dress code by gender, which could certainly be construed as a “take your pick” situation. And Cara knows her wedding look was on-point: She shared an image of her outfit on Instagram and captioned it, “Showing up the lads.”

Delevingne and Princess Eugenie are longtime friends—not only did the two famous Brits hang out at a London Fashion Week party in 2015, but Cara was also reportedly invited to Eugenie’s 25th birthday party that same year. Her sister, Poppy, was also at the wedding.
