Hannah Brown Says She Can't Get on the Celebrity Dating App, Raya

Hannah Brown is down to find love on Raya…if only they would let her on!

According to the former Bachelorette and winner of Dancing with the Stars, the popular “celebrity” dating app has completely ghosted her application. “I don’t know if you know this but I was the Bachelorette,” Hannah jokingly complained on her Instagram story. “And I can’t get on Raya. I’ve been on the waiting list for months now.” One Reddit user recorded the entire three-story rant for your viewing pleasure.

Apparently, Hannah’s friend Elyse Murphy, also featured in the video, is a pastor who was approved by the app. To be fair, Murphy has 20K followers on the ‘gram, which is nothing to scoff at. Plus, she even offered Brown her profile, which she says she’s no longer using.

“No no no, I’m done. Christian Mingle, here I come,” Brown declared in response. But will they approve? “I might not be allowed on Christian Mingle at this point, but Jesus still loves me,” she joked. This is probably referring to that time she boasted on national television that she had sex with current Bachelor Peter Weber four times in a windmill. “Jesus still loves me” has become a sort of slogan for Brown since that moment and appears in her Instagram bio and posts.

Many commenters on Reddit have already come to Brown’s defense. “Someone at Raya must still be in a denial den/cockpit/ballroom,” one poster wrote. Another said Raya is “so embarrassing” anyway, which launched a debate about the app’s users, which may or may not consist mostly of “Australian DJs, youtubers, semipopular podcasters, and macro-influencers.”

Maybe Brown should commiserate about the celebrity dating game with Lucy Hale. The Katy Keene star recently admitted that she swiped right on John Mayer on a VIP app that’s so secret, she can’t even say its name. Unfortunately, she doesn’t think he swiped back.

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a hundred times: If Alabama Hannah and the girl from Pretty Little Liars can’t find love, what hope is there for the rest of us?

Demi Lovato Is Dating Model Austin Wilson: Here's Everything We Know

Demi Lovato has been keeping a low-profile lately, recently sharing that her central focus right now is music and her health. Still, she had one semi-public romance with Bachelorette contestant Mike Johnson earlier this year that started when she joking posted a photo of him on her Instagram Story that said, “Mike, I accept your rose.” Their fling reportedly fizzled out, but now it seems Lovato has found a more serious relationship with a new guy named Austin Wilson— and she’s taken it to Instagram.

Lovato posted a black-and-white shot of Wilson kissing her on the cheek, captioning it, “My ❤️…” Wilson also shared an image of the two of them together and wrote a similar message: “My love.” The internet immediately started buzzing, with people wondering who the new mystery man is. What we know so far is that he’s a 25-year-old model who’s worked for brands like the men’s skincare line Baxter of California. His dad is the Dogtown Z-Boy skater-turned-denim designer George Wilson.

It’s unclear how the couple met, but they seem to have a few friends in common, including the late model Thomas Trussell III. Lovato got a small tattoo to honor his life, while Wilson posted a note on Instagram mourning his death.

The new relationship comes at a time when Demi Lovato says she’s getting ready to launch new music. She opened up about this at the Teen Vogue‘s 2019 Summit in Los Angeles, her first interview in about a year, and made it clear how excited she is to share new work with fans.

“Genuinely, I just want people to remember that I’m a singer. A lot of the things that have been through have [outshone] my success in the music industry. I just want people to remember that that’s what I want to give to the world, so please focus on that and not the other things,” she said. “It’s important to remember that I am so cautious this time around of jumping back into things. I’ve really decided to take my time with things. When the time is right to release new music, I will, and nobody is more anxious than me. “

Are Kylie Jenner and Drake Dating? Here's What We Know So Far

Since her breakup with Travis Scott, Kylie Jenner‘s dating status has been the subject of many a conversation.

First, there were rumors that she was hanging out with her ex-boyfriend, Tyga, at a recording studio. “The internet makes everything 100 times more dramatic than what it really is,” Jenner tweeted in response to the reports. “There was no ‘2am date with Tyga.’ You see me drop two of my friends off at a studio that he happened to be at.”

“Travis and i are on great terms and our main focus right now is Stormi ‼️ our friendship and our daughter is priority,” she continued.

Now, new sources tell People that the billionaire beauty mogul is hanging out “romantically” with Drake. “He and Kylie have been spending time together recently,” another source said. “They’ve been friends for a long time and Drake is very close to the family.” However, others say the two are “just friends.” Jenner reportedly attended Drake’s 33rd birthday celebration and also stayed “super late” at his Halloween party—not that those two things prove the pair are dating.

Jenner and Scott’s split become public knowledge in early October. “We’re told they’ve been trying to make the relationship work for a while, but several weeks ago they decided to step away,” TMZ reported, while People‘s sources said, “They are taking some time but not done.”

The former couple was seen together with their daughter, Stormi, at a Halloween event last month, along with Kourtney Kardashian and two of her children. “They were very involved with Stormi, taking turns rolling her around in a pink, Ariel-themed stroller,” an onlooker adds. “They were extremely attentive and had their eyes on her at all times,” a source told People.

The Kardashian/Jenner clan is reportedly hoping for a reconciliation between Jenner and Scott, according to the magazine: “Travis might not be perfect, but he’s a great partner and dad. Everyone would be upset if Kylie can’t figure things out with Travis.”

Neither Kylie Jenner nor Drake have commented on the latest rumors.

Anne Hathaway's Modern Love Episode Is a Powerful Example of Dating as a Bipolar Woman

Modern Love, the popular New York Times column turned Amazon anthology series, premieres today (October 18) with a full lineup of talented stars—Tina Fey, Dev Patel, Julia Garner, and Andy Garcia among them—and each 30-minute story takes viewers on a journey of self-discovery and love.

The first episode alone nearly wrecked me, but it’s the series’ third, starring Anne Hathaway as a bipolar woman navigating her career and relationships, that is most striking. At times, it even feels like a Broadway musical thanks to the song and dance numbers (there’s even a Mary Tyler Moore theme song homage). But it’s the overarching message about mental health that’s the most important takeaway.

The episode—inspired by author Terri Cheney’s Modern Love column “Take Me As I Am, Whoever I Am,” as well as her memoir, Maniac—follows Lexi, a brilliant and charismatic attorney who’s been hiding her bipolar diagnosis from friends and colleagues. “Anne conveyed the charisma of mania beautifully,” Cheney says of the performance. Cheney knows firsthand how difficult it is to get right on screen. “Mania is often charming, but depression is another story. It’s sometimes an off-putting experience and very hard to describe or portray. Anne captured it in a way that not only showed its anguish, but also moved the viewer to empathy.”

Christopher Saunders/Amazon Studios

At first, Lexi appears to have a rewarding and glamorous life: She’s got a fantastic wardrobe, a spacious apartment, and a full dating life. But then, her depression plows through like a tornado. “I’ve seen people like Lexi, I have people in my life like Lexi, and I love people like Lexi,” Hathaway tells Glamour. “But I haven’t really seen someone like her ever on screen. So the idea that I was asked to represent someone who maybe hasn’t seen themselves on screen and could see themselves in this was exciting for me.”

To prep for the role, Hathaway spoke at length with Cheney and used her memoir as a guide. “I just let Terri’s story be my story,” she explains. “She took me through the physicality of what being manic feels like, how heavy objects become when you’re in this state of being.”

Cheney hopes viewers will take away a greater understanding of how complicated mental illness can be and recognize when loved ones might be struggling. “When you think of the illness in terms of a familiar face, it’s less frightening and easier to understand,” she says. “That’s why having someone as famous as Anne portray a woman with bipolar disorder is so terrific: It’s an antidote to shame.”

It’s also a reasons why it was so important for Hathaway to tell Cheney’s story. “I have people in my life who I love so deeply who have received various mental health diagnoses, and that’s not the whole story of who they are,” Hathaway explains. “But in many cases, because of an intolerant society, that’s the space of fear they’re kept in.”

Miley Cyrus Confirms Cody Simpson Dating Rumors With an Epic Clap Back

Just one day after Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson were spotted kissing in Los Angeles, the “Slide Away” singer has responded to critics who say she’s moving on too quickly from her relationship with soon-to-be ex-husband Liam Hemsworth.

In a lengthy message posted to social media, Cyrus made it very clear that she’s a grown woman now and can and will date whomever she wants.

“I know the public feels invested in my past relationship because they felt like they saw it thru from the beginning,” Cyrus began her post, seemingly referencing her marriage to the actor, which ended over the summer. “I think that’s why people have always felt so entitled over my life and how I live it because they’ve watched me grow up.”

She continued, “But I am grown now and make choices as an adult knowing the truth/details/reality. People only ‘know’ what they see on the internet.”

The 26-year-old pop star went on to say she there shouldn’t be a double standard when it comes to how men and women date. In fact, she doesn’t believe she should be expected to stay quiet following her break up.

“Men (especially successful ones) are RARELY slut-shamed,” she wrote.

“They move on from one beautiful young woman to the next MOST times without consequence,” she explained. “They are usually referred to as ‘legends,’ ‘heartthrobs,’ ‘G,’ ‘Ladies Man,’ etc…. where women are called sluts/whores!”

“I am just trying to thrive in a man’s world. If we can’t beat ’em, join ’em! If our president can ‘grab em by the p****’…. can’t I just have a kiss and an açai bowl?!?!” she concluded the first part of her statement.

Cyrus later asked her fans and the public to be patient with her and allow her to date publicly without the scrutiny.

So Many Celebrities Are Dating Guys From ‘The Bachelorette’

The decision to date someone from Bachelor Nation makes sense, when you think about it. You can see all the red flags you’d normally notice on a second, third, or fourth date before you even meet the person—all while wearing sweats and drinking wine in the comfort of your couch. Oh, he blatantly lied about the girlfriend he has back home? Swipe left. He’s eating deli meats and doing pull-ups on door frames? Swipe left. He refers to himself as the Box King? Hard swipe left.

We all do this when watching The Bachelorette, myself included. But when you’re a hot, single celebrity, you can actually turn those fake swipes into something real. If a random person slid into Mike Johnson’s DMs after seeing how well he treated Hannah Brown, he might ignore them. When Demi Lovato does it, well, that’s different. (Just a hypothetical situation, of course.) By the time their dinner came around, Lovato had presumably watched several episodes of Johnson on The Bachelorette and had at least a rough idea of his personality. That’s more information to go into a first date with than most people get.

Granted, the pool of men who appear on The Bachelorette is not that deep. They’re hot, yes, but for some that’s where the appeal ends. This is where my metaphorical swiping model comes into play yet again. Instead of seeing your date criticize a stranger IRL for wearing “athletic shoes” to the beach, you can watch it on TV. (In all seriousness, that line was actually hilarious; Jordan Kimball was a riot this season on Bachelor in Paradise.) ABC already found out for you if the guys are looking for love or just spon-con. Female celebrities are simply reaping the benefits from that.

Some of these relationships have the potential to go the distance. Hyland and Adams are engaged and couldn’t be more in love. “That can’t eat, can’t sleep, reach for the stars, over the fence, World Series kind of stuff,” she posted to Instagram after he popped the question in July. So if it turns out that Hadid and Cameron, Johnson and Lovato, or Bilson and Viall are actually couples, they have a promising template to work with.

Wait, so was Chris Harrison really just a celebrity matchmaker this entire time? The mind absolutely boggles.
