A New Beyoncé Music Video Is Coming, So Get in Formation

Beyoncé has a habit of jumping back into the music industry when it desperately needs her. After a string of disappointing pop albums by all your faves in 2013—let’s not talk about Britney Jean—Beyoncé released her surprise, self-titled album and subsequently slayed America. Three years later, after the blissful high from Rihanna’s ANTI wore off, she blessed us with Lemonade. And now, rumor has it she’s doing it again. Right as Taylor Swift decided it was a good idea to start rapping, news breaks that a new Beyoncé music video might be on the way. Get in formation! Ring the alarm! Other Beyoncé lyric reference!

In a new interview with La Presse, acclaimed director Michel Gondry revealed that one of his upcoming projects is a “clip for a Beyoncé song.” Unfortunately for the BeyHive, though, that’s all he said. There’s no word yet on the song’s title, release date, or if it’s a single for a new album. It could easily just be a one-off or track for a movie, like “Check on It.” Sidebar: Remember “Check on It?” The song Beyoncé did for the 2006 Pink Panther remake, which she also starred in? What a time to be alive!

So why haven’t we been blessed with this mysterious Bey project yet, you ask? “[The video] hasn’t been released because she had her twins,” Gondry told La Presse. (Beyoncé welcomed Sir and Rumi Carter in June 2017.) “But the is finished and it’s very, very good, I think.”

We don’t even have to see the video to know it’s more than “very, very good.” This is Beyoncé we’re talking about, people. She makes music videos on her downtime just for shits and giggles, and they turn into viral sensations. (Please see: “7/11.”) The visuals on both Beyoncé and Lemonade literally transformed music video-making; this new clip will undoubtedly move the dial forward, again, in some way. Let the countdown—eh?—begin.

Ivanka Trump Once Tweeted in Support of an Undocumented Immigrant—and It's Coming Back to Bite Her

Ivanka Trump once tweeted in support of an undocumented immigrant who worked her way up to a Wall Street job—and in the wake of the president’s controversial DACA decision, Twitter isn’t letting her forget it.

On Tuesday, Donald Trump called for an end to Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, an Obama-era program protecting undocumented immigrants who came to the U.S. as children from deportation. It didn’t take long for Twitter users to dredge up a 2015 tweet from Ivanka Trump linking to a list of what she’d been up to over the past week—including reading a Bloomberg article about Julissa Arce, an undocumented immigrant who became a Goldman Sachs star.

“We love this story about an undocumented immigrant who worked her way up on Wall Street,” the first daughter wrote at the time.

In re-sharing the 2015 tweet, people have been calling out Ivanka—who has said she tries to “stay out of politics”—for not speaking up in defense of DACA.

Arce, who shared a stage with Ivanka at the 2015 Forbes Women’s Summit, condemned Ivanka’s support for her father in an essay for CNN published in September of 2016.

“[Ivanka] had an incredible opportunity to stand up to racism and hate when her father announced his candidacy, yet she has failed to disavow the hateful rhetoric that we have heard time and again,” Arce wrote. Last month, Arce tweeted that she “wouldn’t have been able to contribute to this country” if Trump were president before she gained citizenship.

As news spread Monday about Trump’s impending DACA announcement, immigrants who had been protected under the program—who are known as “Dreamers”—held a candlelight vigil outside Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner‘s home. They carried signs with phrases such as “Ivanka and Jared, please protect Dreamers, keep DACA!”

Dreamers may have seen a glimmer of hope in Ivanka because she hasn’t always expressed the same anti-immigration sentiments as her father. In April, not long after Trump announced his travel ban, Ivanka said on NBC that the U.S. may need to let in more Syrian refugees. But when it comes to DACA, she hasn’t spoken up.

Arce addressed Ivanka’s silence in a Monday tweet, writing, “Before things got Political, @IvankaTrump loved my story. But now her silence says it all.”

Pumpkin Spice Deodorant Is Coming for Your PSL-Loving Soul

PHOTO: Composite. nativecos.com

It’s not even officially fall, but already the pumpkin spice latte—and the 15,000 spin-offs related to it (exaggeration, but not really)—are coming at us fast and hard. The latest in a line of PSL-scented candles, lip balm, and even lube, all-natural brand Native is bringing us PSL deodorant this fall.

The deodorant, like all of Native’s products, is made without parabens, phthalates, and aluminum. According to Bustle, the packaging cleverly notes the absence of these ingredients on what looks like the back of a coffee cup, except with “paraben-free,” “phthalate-free,” and “aluminum-free” checkboxes instead of the typical “decaf,” “syrup,” and “milk” ones. Additionally, Native’s website lists a total of only 14 easily pronounceable ingredients for the PSL deodorant—including shea butter, jojoba oil, baking soda, and coconut oil—which is fewer than what’s typically listed on commercially made deos and antiperspirants. It’s a plus of natural deodorants, though, the downside is that most don’t do much to keep you from sweating, due to the lack of aluminum.

We’ve yet to try it, but the brand claims the deodorant “feels light and fresh under your arms, but provides you with protection against odor all day”—other that the warm, crisp scent of cinnamon, of course. Is that really what you want coming from your armpits? It’s your call.

The deodorant costs $12 and is currently available for preorder. It’ll start shipping on September 5. That said, if your flavor is more summer and you’d rather rosé all day than trade in for a PSL, there’s good news: Native makes a deodorant for you too.

A New Game of Thrones Spinoff Is Coming to Tide Us Over Between Seasons

PHOTO: GameofThrones/YouTube

Sunday (August 27) may have been the season seven finale of Game of Thrones, but HBO just announced a spinoff so you won’t have to go even one day without Jon Snow. Thank the old gods and the new.

HBO just released the first of a seven-episode, behind-the-scenes series about the latest season, called The Game Revealed, according to Deadline. The series features interviews with cast and crew discussing new information and insights into some of the seventh season’s biggest moments. Basically, it’s like a really long in-depth “Inside the Episode” with a focus on makeup, stuntmen, and production design. Fans can watch the first episode right now on Facebook and YouTube, as well as all HBO affiliate portals. The remaining six episodes will only be available through HBO.

Some things we learn in the first 13-minute episode include how the shocking season opener came about, and exactly what camera and makeup work was done to turn Maisie Williams a.k.a Arya Stark into Walder Frey. They also get into Ed Sheeran’s appearance — the singer is even interviewed for the series, saying, “When I first got the scene and I saw that I was a Lancer soldier and it was with Maisie, I just assumed that we’d all get killed at the end.” Probably smart when you’re dealing with a character who has a list of people to kill. The series also focuses on Daenerys Targaryen’s epic homecoming at Dragonstone and all of the detail work that went into the filming the penultimate season.

So, same time, same place next week?
