Jane Fonda Revived Her Classic ‘Jane Fonda’ Workout on TikTok, and It's Everything

Jane Fonda might actually convince me to join TikTok.

The Hollywood legend is now a member of the viral social platform, and she did something incredible for one of her inaugural posts: revived her retro “Jane Fonda workouts,” which swept the country in the 70s and 80s.

“My name is Jane Fonda and I’m going to bring back the ‘Jane Fonda workout,’” she says on her TikTok, posted Thursday, April 2. She also put the video on IG for those who aren’t TikTokers quite yet.

See it for yourself, below:

But it looks like this might be a one-time thing. It seems Fonda did the workout to draw attention to the globe’s climate crisis. After a few leg lifts, she told her followers, “There are too many workouts happening right now, on television and on computers. What I really would like you to do is work out with me for the planet. There’s a climate crisis that’s a real emergency and so, whether you’re on your couch or your yoga mat, will you join me for the Virtual Fire Drill Fridays?”

Virtual Fire Drill Fridays, for those who don’t know, are rallies organized by Greenpeace USA and Fonda that help bring awareness to the climate change crisis and how people can help it virtually. Fonda recruited several celebs, including Piper Perabo and Marissa Tomei, to help spread the message. The drills will happen digitally every Friday in April at 2 P.M. ET.

“Join us this Friday alongside @JaneFonda and @FireDrillFriday to keep the pressure on politicians to adopt a Green New Deal, end new fossil fuels, and enact a just transition to a renewable economy that protects workers and communities,” Greenpeace USA wrote in an Instagram caption. “Let’s tackle the climate crisis together while we #StayHome. We’ll see you online!”

This is a great, important cause, but can Jane Fonda actually start teaching workouts again? That might motivate me to get off my couch!

Chrissy Teigen Just Explained How She Moved In With John Legend, and It's Classic Chrissy

On Sunday evening, Chrissy Teigen did the world (and all John-and-Chrissy shippers) a massive favor: She went on Twitter and, seemingly out of nowhere, posited a few question to the young daters of today. Along the way, she hilariously revealed how she and John Legend ended up living together, and it’s all so classic Chrissy.

The epic social media tea-and-sympathy sesh started off with an impromptu (but perfectly rational) query: “I haven’t dated for a long, long time but are guys really pulling the ‘let’s be exclusive’ thing 6 months into dating like what, I have been exclusive what the fuck have you been,” she wrote.

Fans quickly chimed in with some of their dating horror stories. Chrissy replied supportively (“oh man these stories. I don’t know how you guys are out there dating now. god bless you on your journey”) and then also took the time to crack a few jokes about her 12-year partnership with Legend.

When someone teased that her relationship question was “the worst John Legend subtweet ever,” she joked back with a laughing emoji and wrote, “12 years in and married ‘baby hey, I’m ready to be exclusive.'”

Next, a further glimpse into her previous romances—which, yep, is every bit as Chrissy as you might expect: “I didn’t date much. I moved in with people. like hello, I live here now. this is how John ended up in this situation.”

Honestly, crying. And, even if that is how things went down, it’s pretty clear Legend should be thanking her: Chrissy proved she’s in the running for best wife ever earlier this month when she threw him a crazy James Bond-themed 40th-birthday party and left him an adorable Instagram video tribute. So, y’know, it’s OK if she’s roasted him a little bit along the way.

Before she signed off yesterday, she made sure to leave a few heartfelt GIFS and jokes for some Twitter users recovering from playing the field.

The To All the Boys I've Loved Before Cast Recreated Classic Rom-Com Moments

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is the latest rom-com to take Netflix by storm. The delightful adaptation of Jenny Han’s bestselling novel centers on Lara Jean (Lana Condor), a 16-year-old whose private love letters to her crushes mysteriously get mailed out. What transpires afterwards is a series of charming events that make To All the Boys feel like an eighties rom-com.

So it’s only fitting the movie’s cast recreated some of those classic rom-com moments for our viewing pleasure. “When I was on the set of #ToAlltheBoysIveLovedBefore, I coerced the cast into making these teen movie moments bc I’m a pushy queen,” Han tweeted Sunday afternoon (August 19), alongside a thread of four videos. The first shows Candor and Noah Centineo (who plays Peter in the movie) doing the iconic lift from Dirty Dancing. “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” plays in the background, of course.

Up next we have Israel Broussard (Josh in To All the Boys), doing Judd Nelson’s timeless fist bump at the end of The Breakfast Club. Is it me, or do we have another Brat Pack on our hands?

Below, watch Madeleine Arthur (who plays Chris) channel her inner John Cusack in Say Anything with this boombox moment:

And let’s end things with Centineo (again!), recreating Heath Ledger’s bleacher moves from 10 Things I Hate About You.

To All the Boys is streaming on Netflix right now. Go watch!

Levi's Got 50 Influencers to Customize the Classic Trucker Jacket, in Honor of Its 50th Anniversary

The denim trucker jacket is arguably one of the most iconic pieces of American fashion, ever since that Summer of Love in San Francisco, when George Harrison famously sported Levi’s 70505 Type III topper and introduced an era of rock ‘n’ roll where fashion was synonymous with rebellion. That seminal silhouette was first introduced in 1967—which means that this year, it celebrates its big 5-0. To mark the milestone anniversary, Levi’s invited 50 creative influencers from around the world and a variety of fields, from music to art to fashion, to customize their very own trucker jackets, which were then showcased in a star-studded celebration in L.A.

“I just love the trucker jean jacket—well, I love all jean jackets,” actress Busy Phillips told Glamour at the event, fresh off her flight from Paris Fashion Week (and pink-hair-dyeing shenanigans). “Currently I have, like, at least 12. Is that crazy?!” We get it, Busy: Even five decades later, the Levi’s trucker still proves to be a timeless American wardrobe staple—and a pretty spectacular canvas for a group of very cool people to pour their creative energies onto.

Solange created a long white lab-coat-inspired version, while Karlie Kloss opted for cheeky über-crop; Snoop Dogg used his to pay homage to the West Coast, while Miroslava Duma combined hers with a trusty old hoodie. The one-of-a-kind designs are as diverse and fabulous as the talent themselves. For a peek at all these jackets, as well as styles remade by Karla Welch, Diplo, Justin Timberlake, and more, click through the gallery below to see how the world’s top fashionistas made a classic Americana look all their own.
