John Legend Flew From London to L.A. Just to Watch TV With Chrissy Teigen


The term #RelationshipGoals is widely overused at this point, but when it comes to Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, it’s just so appropriate.

Thanks to their willingness to share so many parts of their lives on social media and in the press, we all feel like we know the couple. And the more we know, the more we love them. Take this recent Teigen tweet, where she revealed that her husband took a long flight detour just to spend a few hours with her. “I do not normally brag about john, as it is my schtick to make fun of him always, but he flew from London to LA instead of London to DC to have dinner with me and watch love island UK because I haven’t been feeling like myself lately. Just a few hours but it meant a lot. Thank u,” she wrote. “AND he had to fly on his least favorite airline. That is love.”

“I love you my baby. See you tonight,” Legend responded.

Come. On. How sweet is that? We can all only hope for a partner that tuned in to our needs.

The couple also opened up to Vanity Fair about their marriage and family in a new cover story. Legend says that he and Barack Obama bonded at a recent event over their very popular wives. “We joked about how much our wives are loved more than we are now,” he said.

“I’m her biggest cheerleader,” he added. “I always think she should do more.”

But it seems that the two don’t take themselves too seriously. “There are some famous couples I look at and I’m like, ‘Ugh, we get it. Stop trying so hard, you’re so lame,’” Teigen told the magazine. “I think people definitely think that about us but…that’s because I think of everything.”

Never change, Chrissy. Never change.

Chrissy Teigen's Anniversary Tribute to John Legend Is Peak Chrissy Teigen


Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are celebrating their sixth wedding anniversary on Saturday (September 14)—and to mark the occasion, the Cravings author shared a tribute to her husband on social media, just like she does every year. And no, her tributes aren’t the usual sappy stuff—who can forget last year’s, when she straight-up called him an asshole? (But, you know, in a loving way.) This year, however, Teigen out-Teigened herself for her most relatable, most Chrissy post yet.

This year, she showed fans exactly what it’s like to be in a committed, loving, years-long relationship by sharing a candid photo, timestamped from Saturday, showing the two in a super-fancy hotel room. But there’s no lovey-dovey moment going on here: Teigen’s slumped in a chair, appearing to sleep with a pair of sunglasses on, while Legend is behind her, engrossed in something on his computer screen. True love at its realest.

“happy anniversary, baby!!!” Teigen captioned the shot.

But it seems things picked up from there: Teigen also showed her followers a glimpse into her anniversary celebrations, which consisted of jetting off to Paris for a one-day romantic getaway. She shared a video on Twitter that opens with a shot of a massive bouquet of flowers before panning to Teigen, who’s sitting in a chair getting her hair and makeup done.

“What the fuck am I even supposed to do with that?” she jokingly says, referring to the flowers.

Legend later responded to the tweet a bit more poetically, writing, “Our love is impeccable and impractical.”

The couple, who have been together for more than 12 years now and continue to define #RelationshipGoals, got married in a romantic ceremony in Lake Como, Italy back in 2013. And it turns out, the two took their dating relationship back in the day to the next level in a very Teigen way, too: As she tweeted earlier this year, “I didn’t date much. I moved in with people. like hello, I live here now. this is how John ended up in this situation.” Gotta love these two—happy anniversary to the lovebirds!

Chrissy Teigen Had the Best Response to People Shaming Her for Not Wearing a Bra


One more point for Chrissy Teigen in the Chrissy vs. Haters scoreboard (which, I’m sure, Teigen is leading by a million at this point). On Thursday, August 22, she posted a video on Instagram that shows her sliding into a ball pit and grabbing her boobs—something many people are taking as a wink to the critics who had given her a hard time for going braless in a social media post the day before.

Teigen captioned the video, “Whoopsie daisy.”

This video seems to have been taken on the same day as the Instagram post that Teigen posted previously, in which she’s pictured standing open-mouthed and staring at something while wearing a jumpsuit with a low neckline. “What do you think I’m looking at?” she asked her social media followers. Some users used that opportunity to answer with things like, “a bra, girl, get you one.”

As usual, Teigen took the comments in stride and wrote to one user, “Allow me to save you from my titties.”

But even though Teigen made a joke out of the comments, some people jumped to her defense in a more forceful way. “All of these WOMEN commenting on the fact she’s not wearing a bra,” one person wrote. “Y’all are just jealous that you don’t have the confidence to do it too because we all know bras are the worst thing in existence.”

Someone else chimed in to defend how great Teigen looks. “She breastfed two kids and her boobies look bomb AF,” one person wrote, “so why not wear what she wears.”

Still, Teigen clearly doesn’t seem to care about what any bra sticklers have to say—and neither, apparently, does her husband, John Legend. In it, you can hear Legend laughing hysterically as she tumbles into the pit. True couple goals.

Chrissy Teigen's Lips Got Crazy-Swollen Thanks to Altitude Sickness, Apparently


Chrissy Teigen rarely shies away from sharing updates about her personal life on social media—and over the weekend, she let her followers know about the reaction she suffered after flying from Los Angeles to Utah for the wedding of her friends Meghan Mackenzie and Luke Dillon. In a series of tweets, Teigen explained the condition is called angioedema, which she believes is due to altitude sickness. Not only did it cause her mouth to feel like it was “about to explode,” but photos show her bottom lip swollen to almost twice the normal size.

According to Mayo Clinic, angioedema causes the deeper layers in your skin to swell as a result of an accumulation of fluid and usually affects loose tissue areas like the eyes and mouth.

“Very upset and saddened that my own birth state, Utah, has chosen to poison me with terrible altitude sickness,” Teigen first tweeted on Saturday, August 16.

She followed that up with a close-up photo of her swollen mouth. “Did u know angioedema can be triggered from altitude sickness? Learn something new every day! My lip about to explode. Goodbye world,” she added.

Teigen also described her lip as “so big it’s shiny and hard like glass.”

But, in true Chrissy Teigen fashion, the Cravings author made light of the situation by joking with her friends. “This is premeditated murder if you ask me,” she tweeted.

The Fall 2019 Essentials Chrissy Teigen Can't Stop Shopping


At the beginning of our interview, Chrissy Teigen asks if I can hold on for a second.

“Luna is drinking pure strawberry vinaigrette, as a beverage,” she says.

Such is life for the 33-year-old model turned best-selling cookbook author, turned TV personality, turned everyone’s best-friend-in-their-head. She juggles many roles, but take one look at her Instagram lately, and it’s clear that being a mom—and a very cool one at that—is the job she loves most.

But how has motherhood affected her everyday fashion choices?

“Oh my God, I just recently decided I’m no longer wearing things that I have to put over my head,” Teigen tells Glamour. “If I can’t step into it, I don’t wear it anymore. Stretching my arms above my head to put something on or anything crazy fitted that only has a zipper on the side, I’m like, ‘No, no, no.’ I will tailor things to add extra zippers.”

In short, comfort isn’t just key—it’s sort of, well, the only key. That leaves a lot of room to play with accessories, which she loves. “I can wear the most basic stuff, and just put on a good pair of sunglasses, a cute hat, and some hoop earrings,” she says. (And she just designed her ideal sunnies for the celebrity-favorite brand Quay Australia. But more on that in bit.)

“Once every year I go into this mood where I’ll go online, I’ll be on Free People or whatever, and I’m like, ‘This is going to be me now!,’” Teigen says. When it comes to colors, her aesthetic is pretty minimal. (She says “loves patterns,” but mostly in theory—since “then [what you ordered] comes and you’re like, ‘What the—oh my God, this is crazy.’”) Her go-to styling combo for the fall? “I love an effortless, easy wrap dress [with] a scrunchy suede boot.”

Chrissy Teigen Called Kid Rock 'Pathetic' Over His Comments About Taylor Swift


We’re not sure anybody could have anticipated a Chrissy Teigen-Kid Rock-Taylor Swift internet feud—but in 2019, nothing totally surprises us anymore. Let’s break down how this latest drama, which led to Teigen calling Kid Rock “pathetic,” came to be.

Swift has become increasingly more vocal about her political views over the past year. She came out in support of two Tennessee Democrats during the midterm elections last fall. She wrote a public letter to her senator, explaining why the Equality Act—which focuses on the rights of the LGBTQ+ community—is important to her. And in her most recent Vogue cover story, she explained why she wasn’t as vocal earlier in her career.

“I didn’t realize until recently that I could advocate for a community that I’m not a part of,” she said. “It’s hard to know how to do that without being so fearful of making a mistake that you just freeze. Because my mistakes are very loud. When I make a mistake, it echoes through the canyons of the world. It’s clickbait, and it’s a part of my life story, and it’s a part of my career arc.”

This, apparently, did not sit well with Kid Rock—who has publicly supported President Donald Trump and even visited him in the White House. “Taylor Swift wants to be a democrat because she wants to be in movies….period,” he tweeted. “And it looks like she will suck the door knob off Hollyweird to get there. Oldest move in the book. Good luck girl.”

That’s when Teigen, never one to hold her tongue, got involved. “You’re pathetic,” she quote-tweeted. She even mockingly signed her name at the end of her tweet, just as Kid Rock did.

Swift has not commented publicly about either Teigen or Kid Rock’s statements, but we’d love to know if she and Teigen are DM’ing about this whole thing.
