Sure, makeup, clothes, and good lighting do wonders when convincing people you look like a certain celebrity, but there are some lookalikes out there who don’t need any of that. 5 Celebrity Outfits That'll Convince You to Try Out the Beret Trend


As with any fashion trend I skeptically buy into (creeper sneakers, furry slides, Tuesday tulle), this story begins with Rihanna. Last March, she arrived to Dior‘s Fall 2017 show during Paris Fashion Week wearing what would be that collection’s hallmark accessory, worn by every single model down Maria Grazia Chiuri‘s runway: a black leather beret. These were, according to the designer, admittedly more military-inspired (and politically charged) than the “how to dress like a French girl” stereotype (as was a recurring theme that season). And on Rihanna, it was obviously, unimpeachably cool.

Soon enough, the headgear had transcended the catwalk and evolved into a more mainstream trend. First Bad Gal RiRi, then the street-style crowd; then frequently photographed celebrities and models; then all the way down the retail chain to fast fashion. Now, you’re more likely to spot a well-dressed stranger in a perfectly tilted beret than a calculatedly slouchy beanie on the street when it’s cold out. It’s an accessory that’s never truly left the fashion imagination—partly thanks to the industry’s unfaltering fascination with “Parisian style,” and partly thanks to season-two Carrie Bradshaw—but is suddenly more relevant than ever, thanks to some choice high profile sightings that could sway anyone for this trend.

Thanksgiving 2017: The Very Best Celebrity Instagrams


We’re thankful for a lot of things this Thanksgiving—and numbers one through 101 are on this list of reasons it’s great to be a woman in 2017 (yes, even despite evidence that sometimes feels to the contrary). Other things we’re grateful for include friends, family, the food on our plates—and celebrities who keep us constantly entertained. And, once again, they didn’t disappoint when it came to posting about their Thanksgiving celebrations on social media.

This Famous Celebrity Sibling Is Basically Selena Gomez's Doppelgänger


Thanks to social media, it’s easier than ever to stumble upon someone who resembles a famous face: We’ve come across a bodybuilder who could double for Jennifer Lopez with nary an eye batted, a Rihanna doppelgänger who honestly made us do a double-take, and an Instagram star from Mexico who could be twins with Selena Gomez.

But there’s a new Selena doppelgänger in town, and her name is Doniya Malik. If that name—particularly the last name—sounds familiar, it’s because it is: Doniya is none other than Zayn Malik’s older sister. She’s famous in her own right, too: Doniya is a makeup artist and beauty blogger. But even without the aid of makeup to enhance her full brows, lips, and eyes, we bet she’d still be a dead ringer for Gomez. (Fans have even been asking if the Maliks and Gomez are related, thanks to this uncanny resemblance. Spoiler alert: No, they are not.)
