Tyler Cameron Sees Himself 'at the End' With Bachelorette Hannah Brown

Tyler Cameron has quickly positioned himself as a fan favorite on The Bachelorette this season, and it’s obvious why. For one, have you looked at him? The man is so hot I shed a tear every time he smiles. (Kidding, but I’m close to it.)

Of course, Cameron has more than just good looks. He and Brown have a genuine connection—their very electric moments, even during a group date, are proof of that. Their first one-on-one was one of the best dates Brown has had this season, if not the best. But that’s probably not surprising to Cameron: He was confident from the start that the two of them would connect.

“From what I’ve seen, there’s a lot of things I really adore about her,” Tyler Cameron told Glamour before production on The Bachelorette got into full swing. “She’s a real-ass woman. She’s her. She doesn’t care. She’s unapologetically Hannah B.—and I love that. I adore that. So I think things like that will keep me very, very interested, and I’m excited.”

This confidence is one of the most attractive things about Cameron, though he says sometimes it can be misconstrued as arrogance. The way he combats this is by being as authentic as possible. “I’m real and I’m true, and you’re going to get that from me, and you’ll see that with me and Hannah,” he said prior to meeting Brown. “I’ve got nothing to hide and I’m excited to show who I am and show it to her, and I hope she loves it, so that’s the plan. “

The Bachelorette's Hannah Brown Has an Incredible Instagram Account

Hannah Brown‘s season of The Bachelorette kicked off last night, and it was a wild time. Within minutes, she sent home a dude because he had a girlfriend back home. One guy called himself “The Box King.” One’s real name is actually, un-ironically John Paul Jones. If this premiere episode is any indication, ABC is about to give us one of the most dramatic seasons of The Bachelorette to date.

My biggest takeaway from last night, though, was how much I loved Hannah. I’ll admit I was skeptical when it was announced she would be the next Bachelorette—as were many fans—but the Alabama pageant queen was authentic, funny, and endearing throughout the whole episode. By the end of the premiere I was shouting “Roll Tide” at the TV, even though I’m not entirely sure what it means. It’s official: I’m a Hannah Brown stan. This is my truth.

And as a new stan, naturally the first thing I did after The Bachelorette premiere was scroll through Brown’s Instagram profile. What I found on this deep-dive is truly iconic. Here are the biggest takeaways:

Hannah Brown Is the New Bachelorette, and Bachelor Nation Has a Lot to Say About It

A new season of ABC’s The Bachelor has come to a close with Cassie and Colton announcing that they are, yes, still together and in love. We also found out during the finale who will be the star of the next round of The Bachelorette when it begins this May: Hannah Brown, a.k.a. Hannah B, a 24-year-old former pageant queen.

“Even before The Bachelorette announcement, it was good for me to figure out who I am and what I want,” Brown told Glamour recently. “You can fall in love on this show, and if my person is here on this new journey with me, that’s amazing. I’m so open to it. I’m not here to just be on TV. I truly believe in this experience and want to find my person.”

“I’m happy for Colton. He was able to choose somebody and it wasn’t me, and that’s okay,” she also told People. “I’ve moved on. And I’m excited to find my person.”

But how is Bachelor Nation feeling about this announcement? Here’s what people are saying about the new Bachelorette on social media.

Many are on board

“It never ceases to amaze me how people, specifically women, get hyped whenever the Bachelor is announced, but when the Bachelorette is announced those same women slam and criticize whoever is chosen,” one user wrote. Another said, “Am I the only one who find Hannah B’s awkwardness really quirky and adorable? She’s growing on me.”

Others, however, were less psyched.

“Okie I don’t know if I can watch Hannah B all season,” one Twitter user said. “Does anyone else feel incredibly awkward when Hannah B is on stage? It’s awkward and she seems so uncomfortable. This is going to be weird,” another wrote.

Hannah’s season of The Bachelorette premieres on ABC on May 13.

Hannah Brown on Becoming The Bachelorette: I Want My Life to Be Exciting, Whether a Man Is in It or Not

Before going on The Bachelor, Hannah Brown had her life planned out: get her degree, marry, have kids, live in Alabama. Now, as the newly-appointed Bachelorette, Brown knows that’s not what she wants. “I want my life to be [exciting] regardless of whether a man is in it or not,” she tells Glamour. “I want to see more of the world and, through that, find out more about myself.” So before this new journey begins, Brown sat down with us to explain why you’ll see a different side of her when The Bachelorette premieres this May. Read on.

I wanted to be a trophy wife, and I was fine with that. I thought I had my life written out—what it was going to be, what kind of woman I was going to be—and none of it happened. I dated this guy forever, and I thought we were going to get married. We looked at land where we lived, and he was going to take over his dad’s business and get his engineering degree. I was going to get my degree and ultimately have babies. And there is nothing wrong with that. I was going be the queen of Tuscaloosa, and it was OK. There was always something in my heart that knew I wanted more, but I settled because that’s kind of what he wanted—and what everybody did back home.

When we broke up, it was shattering for me because I loved him, and it’s what I thought I wanted. Then I won Miss Alabama, which was another dream. It pushed me to start figuring out myself a little bit. Then The Bachelor happened. I was nominated for it, because I had never otherwise put The Bachelor on my list. I was skeptical and kind of terrified, but when Colton was announced I saw potential. On the show, you have to talk about what you want, where you see yourself, who with, and what you want in a person. I don’t think I ever asked myself those questions before. And then all the travel and seeing the world—it just opened myself up to realizing that I don’t want to go back to the life I had before. That is not me, and never was me. I was settling.

It’s not that it isn’t for other people, but it just wasn’t going to be enough for me. I realized I deserve to be happy and have all the things I want in life. It might be scary and outside the norm of what everybody else does, but I need to just go for it. Ultimately, my future wasn’t with Colton, but my journey isn’t over. I’m so excited for the rest of my life, and I want love to be an adventure. I want it to be fun. I want it to be exciting, and I want my life to be that way regardless of whether a man is in it or not. Alabama will always be home and have a special place in my heart, but I want my life to be more than just living there. I want to see more of the world and, through that, find out more about myself.

In a way, the hardest part of this journey has been the time since I’ve been off show. I haven’t been able to really do much. I’ve worked a little bit for some of my friends that do home decor stuff, but I’ve just had to hang out, which has not been fulfilling at all. I’m kind of living in the past, and I’m ready to move on. The in-between stage is the toughest.

This Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick Makes Me Look Poreless

It’s a typical Saturday night in my life, which means I’m arriving at a birthday party without an invitation, bearing two dozen freshly baked cookies as my entry ticket. The yellow-tinged ceiling lights helpfully illuminate the drinks table, but I can tell at a single glance that they’re not going to lend a single ounce of flattery to my skin. (When you spend enough time in front of ring lights, diffused studio lights, and portable LuMee lights, you just get an immediate sense for these things.) Nonetheless, the combination of celebratory spirit and all the great new people I’m meeting soon have me snapping selfies left and right.

Approximately 30 seconds after I post the first one to Instagram, I get a DM from a fellow beauty editor: “Wow. Your skin is really doing amazing things.” I take a second look at the unfiltered photo. She’s absolutely right. I text her back that it’s the glow of happiness, which is 50 percent of the truth—and vow to save the full story for later.

Well, here it is: Bobbi Brown makes the best cream foundation to ever touch my face. In years past, I’ve always had a tendency to gravitate toward liquid formulas because I believe they tend to do the best job balancing coverage, wear time, and comfort. Sign me up for a cream highlighter or eyeshadow any day, but many of the foundation formulas I’ve tried tend toward the heavier side. They look amazing on camera—imitating the look of bare, dewy skin beautifully—but they also feel like a thick coat of spackle, a feeling I loathe. And if I happen to break a sweat or have an especially oily skin day, you can dial up the discomfort another few degrees (while I watch the results of my careful application disintegrate into little flesh-colored icebergs floating across my face).

Any foundation—cream or otherwise—has to be truly special for me to take note because of how rarely I feel like wearing it. See that photo above? That’s how my skin looks without a single drop of base makeup, in the middle of a particularly sweaty day running to and from appointments in New York. I have a very mild case of rosacea and periodic hormonal breakouts, but my multi-step skin care routine means I can usually skip this particular product altogether. On occasions when I do reach for foundation, it means I’m looking for something that will either photograph flawlessly, perform the Herculean task of rendering my Asian glow invisible, or both.

My ideal formula combines a semi-matte finish (you know, the kind that’s equal parts velvety-smooth and gently dewy), enough coverage to cancel out vibrant alcohol-induced redness, and long wear time (like I said, I have an aversion to flesh-colored icebergs). Oh, and rather than blanketing my face in a suffocating coat, I’d like something that feels so featherweight I forget I’m wearing it in the first place. Shoot your shot, beauty brands.

In truth, I wasn’t expecting Bobbi Brown’s Skin Foundation Stick to fulfill all of these demands the night I grabbed it. I have vague recollections of once testing it on the back of my hand, but apparently I wasn’t that impressed at the time because I promptly forgot it existed.

Cue the fateful eve of my party-crashing. I was running late and couldn’t locate my trusty bottle of Armani Power Fabric, which I eventually realized I had forgotten to pack when moving to another country. I rooted around in my beauty heap until I unearthed this gold-and-black tube, let out a gusty sigh, and proceeded to scribble lines across my face, blending them in with my fingers. Without bothering to give the mirror more than a cursory glance, I was out the door.

Best last-minute decision ever, as it turns out. While swivel-up sticks like this one often go on patchy, this one lays down smooth, even coats of color that don’t catch on dry spots or skip over oily T-zones. I’d describe the feel as a dry-touch cream—one that glides on seamlessly, then disperses weightlessly across my face. It’s apparently packed with emollients like olive extract, as well as light-diffusing powders that create that an incredible airbrushed effect. One coat delivers an effect halfway between a tinted moisturizer and a foundation, while two or three easily dial up the intensity to a full-coverage formula. And you can really layer this on liberally, too. It never starts feeling thick or greasy, or looking caked-on. I wear it in 2.5 Warm Sand when I’m at my wintry palest, but switch to 3 or 3.5 once I start developing a tan. In person, it delivers the same poreless results as it does on-camera. You can zoom in as much as you’d like on the photo above; my face will retain the texture of a beige-tinted eggshell.

Bobbi Brown Extra Lip Tint Replaced All My Favorite Lipsticks

Despite my well-documented love of frequent snacking, there was a time when I rarely bit into a croissant with bare lips when I could have done so wearing two coats of duochrome glitter atop a vibrant crimson red. This is a great litmus test for the staying power of any given product, but also, I just have a thing for color. At my old office my desk was littered with piles of lipstick in every formula imaginable. Instead of a drawer full of office supplies, I had a drawer full of rotating lip options (as well as a drawer full of snacks for testing out their wear time). I needed my mattes, my semimattes, my cream-finish hues, my high-shine lacquers, and a stain or two. My rules used to be simple: I had very little patience for any shade that was supposed to be undetectable. I preferred something you could spot from a mile away—bonus points if it was the deepest version possible of plum, oxblood, or navy blue.

It feels strange to say this, but I have now abandoned all of the above. Over the last few months, I’ve effectively replaced my once overflowing drawer with a single product. In an unexpected turn of events, it’s precisely the kind of undetectable color that I used to pick up, point at, and ask, “Why do you exist?”

It began with a nondescript black-and-white tube from Bobbi Brown that I mistook for a regular lip balm. My lips get chapped from swatching multiple formulas per day—occupational hazard—so I thought I would take a half-hour break and let them chill out with some moisturizer. Turns out, what I actually picked up was the brand’s cult favorite Extra Lip Tint, a featherweight formula that comes in seven shades. The one I use is called Bare Pink, and in the tube, it’s the La Croix of lipsticks, possessing only an echo of color from far away, the kind of pink so translucent you just assume it will go on colorless. This is not the case.

While Bobbi Brown doesn’t bill it as such, Bare Pink is the perfected version of those beloved nineties mood glosses. Naturally, I used to own several of those, each promising to work some pH-based sorcery to go from crystal-clear to your “perfect” shade. As my perfect shade is not a skin-clashing iteration of clown pink, that magic trick never really worked out for me. But Bobbi Brown’s version is different. Once it settles onto your lips, it transforms them with just the right amount of brightness and warmth. It’s not even pink so much as it is a suggestion of the shade, like you happen to have a bit more blood circulating below the delicate skin and suddenly your whole face looks better and more awake too. Because it’s subtle, I don’t even need a mirror to apply. One mindless swipe has me covered for the next few hours; it’s so faint that it doesn’t even leave a noticeable imprint on coffee cups.

I wear it with everything from a bare face to a full-on smoky eye. It’s not just the color that’s perfect; the balm also pulls double duty to provide instant relief when my lips are feeling dry (as it is currently winter, this means all the time). It contains a powerhouse combination of olive, avocado, and jojoba oils to nourish and soften—this makes for a finish that’s not waxy in the slightest and melts into skin instantly. Oh, and have I mentioned that this is the first plumping product I haven’t hated? Instead of using mild irritants to create an unpleasant reaction, the balm uses its oil-packed formula to great effect. It sort of seeps into my tiny lip lines, filling them in and smoothing them over. (Think of the visual effect of your favorite clear gloss, but imagine if you couldn’t even feel it on your lips.) My mouth looks instantly plumper, and I don’t feel like I’ve just experienced an allergic reaction, which is definitely the way I prefer things.
