Charlize Theron Wore a $15,000 Bracelet in Her Hair to Cover Her Roots

Go ahead and cancel that appointment with your colorist.

On Sunday evening, Charlize Theron walked the red carpet at the Screen Actors Guild Awards looking absolutely radiant from head to toe. And that included her middle part and visible roots which she hid with a chic jewelry hack.

“I didn’t have time to do my roots,” Theron explained during a red carpet interview. But not only did she still look supremely cool with her dark roots blending into her platinum hair; she kicked things up a notch by accentuating said roots with a stunning set of Tiffany diamonds.

“The look is a futuristic take on 1920’s glamour,” celebrity hairstylist Adir Abergel, who did the Bombshell actor’s glam for the night, said in a statement. “The minute I saw the clean lines of Charlize’s two-piece outfit, I knew that I wanted the hair to mimic the qualities of the fabric—shiny and reflective. I added a powerful and modern detail to the look, with a diamond tennis bracelet for that extra shine and modern feel.”

The Tiffany Victoria Line Bracelet Theron wore as a hair accessory is worth a whopping $15,500. The entire bracelet comes with a total carat weight of 2.90.

According to Abergel, he created the look using Virtue Labs Healing Oil to help smooth away any flyaways. Next, he applied Virtue Labs Un-Frizz cream for an ultra-glossy finish. To secure the Tiffany bracelet piece, Abergel laid in a small French braid to ensure the diamonds would stay in place.

Theron’s beauty experts finished off her glamorous Givenchy red carpet look with a full face of Dior products. According to Dior, Theron used the Dior Capture Totale C.E.L.L Energy Serum-Lotion to soothe her skin before applying Dior Forever Skin Glow, Forever Skin Correct, the line’s Backstage Contour Palette Universal, and Backstage Rosy Glow Blush.

Go ahead and try the look yourself, even if you have to sub in a faux diamond bracelet.

VMAs 2018: Pete Davidson’s Bracelet Is an Adorable Tribute to Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson aren’t shy about making public proclamations of love for each other. From matching tattoos to an endless array of Instagram PDAs, the two really want the world to know exactly how they feel about one another. So it’s no surprise that the newly engaged duo went all out for their red-carpet debut at Monday’s MTV VMAs 2018.

Fans who were able to take their eyes off the couple’s non-stop love fest noticed an intriguing detail on Davidson’s bracelet: small beads that listed the initials “AGD.” If you’ve been following the romantic chronicles of Pete and Ariana, you’ll recognize that those initials stand for Ariana Grande-Davidson, which as Ariana revealed in a recent interview, will be her initials after they’re married.

“Yeah, [I’m going to hyphenate it to Ariana Grande-Davidson],” Grande told Ebro Darden during a Beats 1 interview on Friday. So what does that mean for her stage name? As it turns out, Grande’s put a lot of thought into that too. “I don’t know. I feel like I’d eventually like to be just Ariana,” she added. “Isn’t that sick? I feel like it’s got a ring to it. But also Grande, I have to keep Grande because of my grandpa. I think of him with everything I do in it, and he was so proud of our name … I’m going keep it. Never mind. We’ll talk later. I have a lot of decisions to make.”

One decision that she has made is the timeline for her upcoming nuptials. While some fans might suggest that Pete’s bracelet means the couple has already tied the knot, Ariana made it clear that their wedding is still over five months away. “Less than five: Years? Yeah,” Grande said. “Months more, years less.”

Early in the show, Ariana had already picked up the award for Best Pop Video for her hit single “No Tears Left to Cry,” using the opportunity to tell Pete how she feels about him. “Thank you for existing,” she said.

See the Gold Bracelet Meghan Markle Gave Out as Royal Wedding Favors

New details about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s royal wedding have been coming fast and furious over the weekend: the bouquets donated to hospice patients made from the ceremony’s flowers, the flood of social-media tributes to the happy couple from their guests, and the heart-warming nods to the late Princess Diana throughout the ceremony. Now, we know that Meghan Markle personally created a custom reception favor for a small group of wedding guests.

A select group of Markle’s close friends went home from Windsor Castle with a special gift: Bespoke gold bracelets by one of Markle’s favorite jewelry brands, Zofia Day Jewelry. Aptly named the “Kensington” bracelet, the design features a simple gold chain accented with a solid gold disc. According to a report from People, the newly-titled Duchess of Sussex personally oversaw the bracelet’s design.

Only six women were given Zofia Day bracelets to commemorate Meghan Markle’s special day. Among the lucky list? Sister-in-law Kate Middleton, stylist Jessica Mulroney, and close friend Benita Litt. The bracelets add yet another personal touch to Markle’s wedding day: The California-based jewelry brand (which, as we know, is Markle’s home-state) is a longtime favorite of the new Duchess, who has worn their earrings and rings on numerous occasions. Litt’s two daughters were also gifted necklaces by the designer to wear to the ceremony.

Zofia Day founder Lisette Polny was thrilled to be tapped by Markle to create the gifts. “It’s an overwhelming honor to be part of history and for my pieces to be given as a keepsake for this momentous occasion,” the designer shared with People. Polny says of the bracelet, “It’s a really simple, elegant piece that’s just very true to her personal style.” We have reached out to Polny for further comment about the bracelet’s design and will update this post upon reply.

Markle fans who weren’t on the recipient list can still wear the charming gold style: A similar version of the bracelet is already available for sale on Zofia Day’s website. Matching with Markle’s wedding party will set you back a solid $450.

Many items that Markle has worn have gone on to sell-out, though the “Kensington” bracelet makes the first that Meghan has designed herself. Given the power of the Meghan Markle effect and the lingering buzz around the royal wedding, the “Kensington” bracelet will likely disappear from Zofia Day’s website soon. If you’d like to get in on the royal wedding accessories action, move fast.
