Kylie Jenner Is Officially the Youngest 'Self-Made' Billionaire, According to Forbes Magazine

At a mere 21 years old, Kylie Jenner is officially the world’s youngest self-made billionaire, according to Forbes magazine. And she got there faster than the previous title-holder, Mark Zuckerberg, who reached the milestone at age 23. It also means she’s worth more than her family, including sisters Kim, Khloé, Kourtney, Kendall…and, yes, even momager Kris.

The bulk of Jenner’s worth comes, of course, from her mega-successful Kylie Cosmetics brand, which expanded via an exclusive deal with Ulta last year. Forbes notes that over the first six weeks at Ulta, Kylie Cosmetics sold $54.5 million worth of products. Based on (conservative) projections, they estimate that Kylie Cosmetics is worth $900 million—and Jenner owns the entire company. Adding in the cash that she’s already made, Jenner is a billionaire. “I didn’t expect anything. I did not foresee the future,” she told Forbes. “But [the recognition] feels really good. That’s a nice pat on the back.”

No matter your opinions on the Kardashian-Jenners, that’s incredibly impressive. But what many are taking issue with online is the designation of Jenner as “self-made,” given the rich and famous family that she comes from. (You may remember a similar conversation last July when she was almost to the billion-dollar mark.)

“She founded the company. She started the company with money that she made—$250,000 from modeling,” Kerry Dolan, the assistant managing editor of Forbes explained on Today. “She owns 100% of it. We know she comes from a wealthy family, but she started the business and she owns it so, in our books, she’s self-made.”

Some people on the Internet felt differently, of course. “‘Self-made’ is so delusional too,” wrote one Twitter user. “She certainly had a head start with money in this world, every resource already at her fingertips, and a mighty nice cushion of money to fall back on had she failed. Someone like Mark Z actually innovated and created his place in the world.”

But Jenner has defenders, too. “Kylie Jenner made most of her money on her own,” said one on Twitter. “She has a business mind and honestly, has worked her ass off. Just because you come from spotlight doesn’t mean the spotlight made you. Lot of entrepreneurs out there that came from multimillionaire /billionaire parents who weren’t.”

Whether you want to categorize Jenner’s success as “self-made” or not, there’s really no denying the magnitude of it.

Rihanna and Her Billionaire Boyfriend Just Went on a Rare Public Date

Rihanna continued her birthday week festivities Thursday night (February 21) by going on a rare, public date with her rumored boyfriend, Saudi businessman Hassan Jameel. The two were photographed laughing and having a great time at a Los Angeles Lakers basketball game, both opting for casual ensembles. RiRi wore a Lakers jersey, while Jameel kept it comfortable with a black baseball cap and zip-up sweater. Neither of them stopped smiling throughout the entire evening.

Check out a few photos from their date, below.

They found love at a Lakers game (which I could never do—I hate sports).

But I’d probably enjoy a basketball game if Rihanna was with me. Hell, I’d enjoy a root canal if Rihanna was with me.

News of Rihanna and Jameel’s relationship first broke in June 2017, when they were spotted kissing while on vacation in Spain. They’ve made a few rare appearances since then. There was the time Rihanna literally hid Jameel under her umbrella (ella). They reportedly broke up in June 2018, but things seemed back on by December, when they were spotted having a cozy dinner in Malibu.

Rihanna will no-doubt continue her birthday festivities this weekend. She kicked things off Wednesday night (her actual birthday) by attending a party thrown for her at Wally’s restaurant in Beverly Hills.

And she certainly has a lot to celebrate. For one, her Fenty Beauty line is killing it. In January, she revealed the brand was dropping an inclusive line of concealers in 50 shades.

“I never could have anticipated the emotional connection that women are having with the products and the brand as a whole,” Rihanna told Time magazine about Fenty Beauty back in November 2017. “Some are finding their shade of foundation for the first time, getting emotional at the counter. That’s something I will never get over.” She added, “I’m going to continue to have fun and push the boundaries in this industry.”

Rihanna and Her Billionaire Boyfriend Were Seen On a Cozy Pre-Holiday Date

It might seem hard at first to find something relatable about singer, actress, and all-around icon Rihanna—but when it comes to her dating life, we can all relate. Case in point: The memorable instance in which Rihanna reportedly broke up with Saudi billionaire Hassan Jameel because she “gets tired of men sometimes.”

Well, it looks like Rihanna has gotten over her dating fatigue. On Saturday (December 22), the singer was spotted on a cozy date in Malibu, California, with none other than Jameel himself. The two met up for a cozy pre-holiday dinner at a restaurant on the California coast, and it looks like it was magical.

RiRi turned up for the date looking stylish as ever, in a trench coat draped off of her shoulders and black strapless dress. Jameel, the man that she sometimes gets tired of, wore a hoodie and a baseball cap. We can’t say what went on inside their dinner date, but we can see that Rihanna opted not to take a wine glass home as a souvenir.

There were no pics of them cuddling up together, unfortunately, but there is photographic evidence:

This cozy dinner is the first time that Rihanna and Jameel have been photographed in the same vicinity since November, when they both reportedly attended an event for a company that Jameel invests in. The pair has been linked since summer 2017, when they were photographed kissing in Spain, and Rihanna’s fan base collectively lost their minds over the potential couple. Rumors that they were engaged in December 2017 proved to be false—same as, apparently, are the rumors that they are no longer dating.

Billionaire boyfriend aside, Rihanna has a lot to keep her occupied heading into 2019. Recently, the singer confirmed to a fan on Instagram that she would finally drop new music in 2019. Let the countdown begin.

Kylie Jenner Is on Track to Be the Youngest Self-Made Billionaire in History

Kylie Jenner has long been fodder for tabloid headlines. From her lips injections to her decision to have a baby at 20, the youngest of the Jenner-Kardashian sisters takes the hits. But as Forbes reveals in latest cover feature, titled “America’s Women Billionaires,” Jenner has been too busy bringing in the cash from her makeup line, Kylie Cosmetics, to notice. In fact, the magazine estimates she’s currently pacing to be the youngest self-made billionaire ever—male or female.

“Even using a conservative multiple, and applying our standard 20 percent discount, Forbes values her company, which has since added other cosmetics like eye shadow and concealer, at nearly $800 million,” Forbes explained, importantly noting that Jenner herself maintains 100 percent ownership over all of it. By the time Jenner turns 22 years old next year, it predicts she’ll have hit the billion dollar threshold—a milestone not even Mark Zuckerberg achieved until age 23.

Given her success, it’s wild to think Jenner began Kylie Cosmetics only two years ago with a single product: the Kylie Lip Kit, which consisted of a liquid lipstick and a matching lip liner for $29. Since its launch, the company has sold more than $630 million worth of makeup. Hell, she brought in $18 million in a single day when she dropped her holiday collection in 2016.

“Social media is an amazing platform,” Jenner said of how she’s grown her business. “I have such easy access to my fans and my customers.”

What makes it all the more impressive is that she’s not the first member of the Kardashian family to launch a beauty brand. In 2012, Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Kardashian collectively launched a brand called Khroma Beauty. However, almost immediately after the brand’s launch, it was sucked into legal controversy (among somewhat lackluster sales) and was pulled from shelves by 2013. While the other sisters have since gone on to launch fairly successful beauty products, none have even come close to Jenner’s success. (Kim’s KKW Beauty, which launched in June last year, is estimated to have brought $100 million in revenue, so far.)

Makeup isn’t the only way Jenner is raking in the dough, though. She’s also got millions coming in thanks to her near lifetime involvement on E!’s Keeping Up With The Kardashians, as well as her endorsement deals with brands like Puma and PacSun. This, Forbes says, places her entire net worth somewhere around $900 million.

Moreover, all of this hard work by a woman barely out of her teens has also made her the richest in her own household—by far. According to Time, her supermodel older sister Kendall is worth an estimated $18 million. Khloe Kardashian’s worth, it’s estimated, sits around $40 million, while Kourtney’s bank account is apparently sitting on $35 million. As for Kim, the women who without question rocketed the Kardashian-Jenner family to fame, she’s worth an estimated $350 million thanks to her television show, endorsements, mobile game, and KKW Beauty.

Truly, after following in many of her elder sister’s footsteps it appears Jenner has exemplified the saying “the student becomes the master.”

Rihanna Reportedly Broke Up With Her Billionaire Boyfriend Because She 'Gets Tired of Men Sometimes'

Rihanna has reportedly broken up with her billionaire Saudi boyfriend, who she’s been dating for more than a year. And honestly, the reason for the split is beyond relatable.

According to the gossip site MediaTakeOut News, the singer has recently called things off with S.O. Hassan Jameel.

If you haven’t heard his name before, there’s a legit reason why: Rihanna and Jameel have kept their relationship highly private. She barely posted anything about her relationship with the billionaire on her social media and rarely spoke about him during interviews.

However, fans were convinced that the two were engaged last December, when she shared a pic on Instagram of her wearing a massive ring on a certain finger. But we didn’t really hear much on the matter after that—and of course RiRi’s worn rocks like that before (she did have a song called “Diamonds”).

So what (allegedly) happened? A source close to the singer told MediaTakeOut News what apparently led to the breakup: “Rihanna and him were together for a while. It was a good relationship, but now it’s over.”

According to this source, the singer had simply come to terms with the fact that she and Jameel no longer clicked—and then dropped the bomb that has us all feeling seen.

“Rihanna just got tired of him,” the source told the outlet. “She gets tired of men sometimes.”
