Watch This: 17 TV and Movie Releases This Week Worth Staying In For

The fall TV season continues this week with a slew of exciting offerings, both old and new. Some shows are even a mix of both, like MTV’s TRL reboot that kicks off Monday, October 2. (Yes, TRL is coming back; early 2000s fanatics rejoice!) If you want to pass on TRL, though, there are plenty of shows this week that will give you just as many feels. Scandal‘s last season kicks off Thursday, not to mention the premieres for black-ish and Fresh Off the Boat. And let’s not forget the doozy of a Kate Winslet film hitting theaters this weekend, The Mountain Between Us, about two strangers-turned-lovers who almost freeze to death. Sound familiar?

These are the 17 can’t-miss premieres happening this week. Get excited.

Sunday, October 1

Keeping Up With the Kardashians: The 14th season of E!’s signature show about pop-culture’s signature family premieres tonight. Even after 10 years, we’re still invested as hell. Bible. 9 P.M. EST on E!

Ten Days in the Valley: Kyra Sedgwick experiences a mother’s worst nightmare when her daughter is kidnapped in the middle of the night. A Taken-esque narrative ensues. 10 P.M. EST on ABC

Monday, October 2

The Gifted: A badass female superhero (Natalie Alyn Lind) is at the center of this X-Men spinoff series, which explores what happens to two teenagers when they realize they have mutant powers. 9 P.M. EST on Fox

TRL: No, Carson Daly isn’t back to host, but this highly-anticipated reboot will surely deliver the nostalgic music-video feels you want. Ed Sheeran and Migos are set to perform in the first episode. 3:30 P.M. EST on MTV

Tuesday, October 3

Queen Sugar: The second midseason premiere of this smash hit from Ava DuVernay premieres tonight, and the stakes are high. Tune in to find out how Darla’s family reacts to her engagement news and if Aunt Violet’s condition worsens. (We’re particularly nervous about the latter.) 10 P.M. EST on OWN

black-ish: Season four of the Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross-helmed comedy kicks off this evening, but something tells us the laughs might be in short supply. Remember, we just found out Bow’s having complications with her pregnancy, so viewers will be walking on eggshells until that’s resolved. 9 P.M. EST on ABC

Fresh Off the Boat: A quick refresher: Jessica and Louis’ plans to move back into their old home are foiled when they discover someone else is already renting it. Does this mean the family has to stay in their new digs, which it’s pretty clear they hate? Tune in to find out. 8:30 P.M. EST on ABC

The Mayor: One of fall’s most promising new offerings tracks what happens when an aspiring rapper (Brandon Micheal Hall) decides to run for mayor to promote his music and wins. There’s only one thing to do in this situation, TBH: Hire Lea Michele to run your office. (For the record, it’s one of the Glee star’s strongest performances to date.) 9:30 P.M. EST on ABC

Wednesday, October 4

iHeartRadio Music Festival: The Weeknd, Harry Styles, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, and other singers perform at this two-day festival, which takes place in Las Vegas. 8 P.M. EST on The CW

The Real Housewives of New Jersey: RHONJ is kind of like a music festival, too—except it’s filled with people screaming instead of singing. If that’s your jam, then add this to your list. 9 P.M. EST on Bravo

[embedded content]

Thursday, October 5

The Fosters, season 5A: We’re still not over the final scene from 5A, when the ICE agents literally showed up at prom. Relive that moment, plus the 10 other episodes from 5A, on Netflix starting today. Available on Netflix

Scandal: Olivia Pope drinks wine, eats popcorn, and solves political crises for one final season, starting this evening. I can’t talk about this more without crying. 9 P.M. EST on ABC

[embedded content]

Friday, October 6

Once Upon a Time: This soft reboot centers on a new protagonist, Lucy (Alison Fernandez), who arrives in Seattle with her Once Upon a Time book to find her father. 8 P.M. EST on ABC

The Mountain Between Us: Kate Winslet and Idris Elba play very hot strangers whose small airplane crashes on top of an isolated mountain. Why is Winslet always in movies where she’s cold? In theaters

[embedded content]

Saturday, October 7

Spielberg: A documentary about Steven Spielberg, for those of you dying to learn more about how Jaws and Jurassic Park were filmed. 8 P.M. EST on HBO

Blair Witch: You can now stream last year’s very terrifying Blair Witch sequel, which basically has the same story as the 1999 film but with better cinematography. Consider your first horror movie marathon set. Available on Amazon and Hulu

The Best Celebrity Makeup Looks Worth Seeing Over and Over Again

    Selena Gomez

The hair, the brows, those Twiggy lashes. If it weren’t for the #MillennialPink color scheme, we’d wonder if Sel actually had stepped right out of the ’60s. This is a Fashion Week party look at its finest.

Not just anyone could stroll into the Teen Choice Awards wearing a fashion take on men’s pajamas (in her words), but between Zendaya’s incredible curly bangs and wash of copper eyeshadow, it was one of the night’s best looks.

Score one, camp lipgloss. Hudgens snapped a shot of her makeup pre-Teen Choice red carpet, and the interplay between her shiny lavender gloss and identical highlight on her eyes is the best kind of monochrome.

If you follow Bella Thorne’s social media presence for a single minute, you know she loves her makeup. Even if you don’t, this photo catches you up. For a Buxom Cosmetics event celebrating its new mascara, Thorne went all out with a mermaid-tail eyeshadow look and bright, fuchsia pink lips.

This eyeshadow look is serving major “Fruit Stripe gum, but make it fashion” vibes. And somehow it works. Created by makeup artist Erin Parsons for a Maybelline photoshoot, the technicolor color scheme might be coming to drugstores soon.

Riri committed at the 2017 Met Gala, down to her abstract, painterly makeup. Her color-blocked makeup—an iridescent pink and red shade swept from the tops of her cheeks to her eyelids—almost (almost!) stole the show. Fingers crossed that it’s a preview of her upcoming Fenty Beauty line.

Taylor Swift Reportedly Lounged in $10 Million Worth of Diamonds in the 'Look What You Made Me Do' Video

Hey, did you know that Taylor Swift released a new music video? Well, did you know that in said music video, she takes a rather uncomfortable-looking but unquestionably lavish bath in a tub filled with what Page Six is reporting to be $10 million-worth of diamonds?

Early on in the “Look What You Made Me Do” video, Swift is seen lounging back in a tub filled to the brim not with a soothing bubble bath, but rather countless jewels—necklaces, rings, bracelets, you name it! And though at first, many focused on the single dollar bill that’s pictured laying among the diamonds (an inferred reference to the symbolic settlement she received for her recent sexual assault case), Page Six suggests that the rest of the stage props used to set the scene were considerably pricier. The total value of Swift’s not-so-casual soak is actually estimated to be a cool $10 million.

The bling shown in the bathtub was sourced from famed celebrity jeweler Neil Lane‘s vault, according to Page Six—and, unsurprisingly, required a lot of security monitoring. Hey, better safe than sorry—did you see how many Taylors there were in that video? Plus, they proved they were perfectly capable of staging a heist…

Revisit Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” for the upteenth time, below.
