A ‘Bachelor in Quarantine’ Show Might Be in the Works at ABC


While former contestants from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette are keeping themselves busy on TikTok (see below), franchise executives at ABC are reportedly working on a few ideas about how to produce new content given the state of the coronavirus pandemic.

Bachelor Nation is currently enjoying the franchise’s music spin-off, The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart, which was filmed prior to Hollywood productions’ shutting down. But Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette (which would have started airing in mid-May) and Bachelor in Paradise (mid-August) are on hold for the moment. (The Bachelor: Summer Games was already canceled because the Tokyo Olympics was postponed.)

Now, Deadline is reporting that a Bachelor in Quarantine spin-off is absolutely a possibility—and yes, that is the name apparently being discussed internally at ABC.

“The best thing about The Bachelor is its willingness to evolve as a format, so if we need to shoot a cycle that reflects these times, that’s what we’re going to look at doing,” Rob Mills, the head of alternative programming at the network, said.

But according to Deadline, this wouldn’t just be a straight-up restructuring of the Bachelor in Paradise model. Reportedly there have been talks about whether they could actually shoot that series in Mexico this summer. “Getting 20 cast members is one thing. Getting 100 to 180 crew members and putting a director in a truck next to the producers, where you’ve got 30 people in a trailer next to each other is another thing. There’s a lot of logistics that go into it,” Bachelor host Chris Harrison told Bill Simmons on his podcast, per Deadline. “We are on it; we’re chomping on the bit to produce content.”

Whatever direction they decide to go, though, Mills says Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette is going to happen. “She’s always been resilient,” Mills said. “We’re going to do her a season, and it’s going to be fantastic. If she finds a person, then this all means it was all meant to be. We’ll be nimble.”

A 'Beauty and the Beast' Prequel Is In the Works at Disney+. Here's Everything We Know


A tale as old as time, indeed. If you’ve been thinking you need more Beauty and the Beast in your life, Disney+ has you covered.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a prequel series is in the works starring Josh Gad and Luke Evans, who will be reprising their roles as LeFou and Gaston from the wildly popular 2017 live-action Beauty and the Beast remake directed by Bill Condon.

Not many details are known at the moment (it doesn’t even have a title), but the limited series is supposedly going to be a six-episode musical event from Once Upon a Time creators Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz. Gad will also serve as a co-creator, writer, and producer.

Here’s everything we know so far about the Beauty and the Beast prequel series.

Disney

The cast. As mentioned, Gad and Evans will return as LeFou and Gaston. No word yet on whether Emma Watson or Dan Stephens will make appearances as Belle and the Beast, respectively.

The music. THR reports that talks are underway with composer Alan Menken, who also did the score for the 2017 film.

The length. While six episodes have been confirmed, there’s no more information on episode length.

The plot. Since the project is still in the early stages of development, we don’t know much about the storylines—other than that they will follow LeFou and Gaston’s adventures prior to the action in the 2017 film. One thing that could be interesting to explore is LeFou’s sexuality, which was implied in the film’s “exclusively gay moment” which was…pretty much nothing.

Condon previously explained in a now-deleted interview with Attitude that LeFou would be Disney‘s first gay character. “LeFou is somebody who on one day wants to be Gaston and on another day wants to kiss Gaston,” he reportedly said. “He’s confused about what he wants. It’s somebody who’s just realizing that he has these feelings. And Josh makes something really subtle and delicious out of it.”

Not so much, but maybe Gad will actually get a chance to delve deeper in the prequel series. However, if the news about the Love, Simon and Lizzie McGuire series are anything to go by, then maybe not.

A Friends Reunion Special Is Reportedly in the Works at HBO Max


This is not a drill. We repeat, this is not a drill: A Friends reunion special is reportedly being developed by Warner Bros. yet-to-launch streaming service, HBO Max. (HBO Max will, of course, be the home for all 10 original seasons of Friends when it leaves Netflix at the end of the year.)

The Hollywood Reporter says talks are underway with all six original cast members—Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer—as well as the show’s creators, David Crane and Marta Kauffman. THR notes that a deal is far from done, so everyone keep your fingers crossed.

Also, this is not a reboot, but an unscripted reunion. So it’s good to manage your expectations on that front, too. We aren’t going to see what’s happened to Ross and Rachel over the years or how Chandler and Monica’s twins turned out—though I’d hope those would be topics for discussion when the whole cast is back together again.

While various cast members, and Aniston in particular, have been pretty steadfast in saying that a reboot is not happening, she recently hinted at a project—and perhaps this is it. “We would love for there to be something,” she told Ellen DeGeneres. “But we don’t know what that something is. So we’re just trying. We’re working on something.” And a few months before that she said, “Listen, I told you this: I would do it. The girls would do it. And the boys would do it, I’m sure.”

And the Friends cast has been spending time together lately. Aniston launched her Instagram with a photo of the six of them having dinner, and Cox recently posted a photo of her and Perry after a lunch date.

It may not be the reboot many fans have been clamoring for, but we’ll take it—and likely love it.

We Tested Kylie Jenner’s Face Wash to See How Well It Works

Makeup level: Medium coverage foundation, mascara

Results: At first I was appalled by Kylie’s video, but the more I thought about it, it made sense that she would have makeup all over her towel. She really did have only a few seconds to show the product in action, and even when I double-cleanse, I often have foundation left on my own towel. The foaming cleanser broke down a good amount of my foundation, most of what was on my towel was mascara, which it had a harder time removing. I personally found the wash a bit too drying for my skin, but if I were to use this, I would definitely use an oil or balm first, to really break down all my makeup. It’s more of a second step in double cleanse kind of cleanser—and I prefer oil removers to makeup wipes, which aren’t as environmentally friendly.

Results: The Kylie Skin Foaming Face Wash definitely exceeded my expectations. It was extremely gentle but powerful—it completely wiped off my full coverage foundation. Plus, it smelled really good. Although it was drying for the others, it felt great on my skin. Just remember the fact of the matter is that it’s a basic, no-frills cleanser—not an eye makeup remover.

The Consensus

So did Jenner deserve the criticism? Yes and no. While the time constraints play a huge factor in the video, she probably should have known that people are more educated than ever when it comes to skin care, and the Internet has no problem calling out celeb fails. Still, the Foaming Face Wash does its job when used correctly—even better so when paired with makeup wipes. Maybe just launch an oil cleanser next, Kylie?
