All the Easter Eggs in Taylor Swift's 'Lover' Music Video

Taylor Swift‘s Lover album is finally here. But last night, ahead of its release, she dropped the video for the title track.

Of course, this means that her fans jumped into deep analysis mode as they took in each frame, found so many hidden Easter eggs, and developed some theories. In the video, we see a little girl at Christmas time opening her presents. One of them is a snow globe, and soon we’re taken into the house inside the globe where Swift and her “lover” reside. We see the couple laughing, loving, dancing, fighting, throwing parties, and diving into a fish bowl together. You know, living their lives.

At the end, the camera pans out to show that the little girl is their daughter—a very sweet touch that I must admit choked me up a little bit.

Watch the video for yourself, below, and then let’s break down what it all means.

The house.

The home inside the snow globe has seven rooms, which fans think represent Swift’s seven albums.

One fan also noted that the rooms are lit in color while the outside is dark, seemingly a reference to the lyrics in “Out of the Woods” from 1989: “The rest of the world was black and white, but we were in screaming color.”

Another thought it was a reference to the dollhouse in 13 Going on 30.

The cat.

Watch Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello Rehearse their Steamy "Señorita" Music Video

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello have been steaming up the summer with their chart-topping duet, “Señorita,” not to mention the smoldering video that goes with. The pair has also been sparking romance rumors as they’ve been spotted together doing everything from sipping coffee to kissing. Camila even professed her love for Shawn to celebrate his 21st birthday, calling him a “magic human.”

If you can’t stop shipping this super-talented couple, you’re in luck: As noted by Entertainment Tonight, Shawn released a three-minute clip of rehearsal videos from the filming of “Señorita,” and is it hot in here or is it just their chemistry?

In the video, we see the musicians stretching it out during warmup and rehearsing their choreography, which includes Shawn gracefully lifting Camila. The cutest part? The short but sweet moment of the pair playing patty-cake together during their downtime. The footage is pretty simple, but it’s totally adorable nonetheless.

Whether or not the two are actually in the midst of a summer romance, these behind-the-scenes clips at least show that Shawn and Camila are very good friends who are very comfortable with each other. After all, they’ve had plenty of shared history, and the two go way back.

It’s certainly been a busy summer for Shawn and Camila. They’ve been spotted together many times as Shawn travels the U.S. on tour. Romance rumors first began during the 4th of July holiday, when the singers were seen holding hands. They attended a Blink-182 concert in late July and shared a kiss during Shawn’s birthday celebration in New York City.

Of course, we haven’t heard anything official from Shawn or Camila themselves, so until we do, this is all just ~speculation~ over the state of their relationship. But that doesn’t mean we can’t watch this super-steamy video on repeat, which is definitely what we’ll be doing for the rest of the summer.

Blue Ivy Steals the Show in Beyoncé's New 'Spirit' Music Video

It’s becoming increasingly clear who the true star of the Knowles-Carter family is—and it’s Blue Ivy. The 7-year-old takes center stage in her mom Beyoncé‘s new “Spirit” video, a song from the new live-action remake of The Lion King. (Bey plays Nala in the film.)

In the video, Bey and Jay-Z’s eldest child looks so much like her mom as she joins her in a scene desert scene, walking over to Beyoncé and taking her hand. It’s perfectly juxtaposed with a moment from the film where young Simba steps into his father’s pawprint. The pair are wearing similar pink flowing dresses and long curls, surrounded by a group of female dancers. It’s a poignant and powerful moment in the video and certainly proves that Blue has inherited her mother’s X-factor.

The song’s lyrics are incredibly inspiring as well: “Spirit, can you hear it calling?/ Yeah/ Your destiny is coming close, stand up and fight/ So go into that far-off land/ And be one with the great I am, I am.” Who doesn’t love a Beyoncé power ballad?

The rest of the video is filled with equally stunning visuals featuring large groups of dancers wearing vibrant colors alongside Beyoncé. And yes, you do get to see clips from The Lion King interspersed. We see some sweet moments between Simba (Donald Glover) and Beyoncé’s Nala, as well as shots of the fatal fight between Scar and Mufasa, and those pesky hyenas.

Kendall Jenner’s #BottleCapChallenge Video Is Unreal

The #BottleCapChallenge has officially taken over social media—with celebrities and noncelebs alike. Yesterday we thought nobody would top Mariah Carey‘s entry, in which she popped off a bottle top using her magnificent voice, but then Kendall Jenner got involved.

In case you’ve been offline for the past week, the #BottleCapChallenge is basically this summer’s version of the #InMyFeelingsChallenge (which had people across the country hopping out of moving vehicles to dance to the Drake hit). This time around, though, the internet has decided that we should all attempt to remove a bottle cap with our feet and some fancy spin moves.

According to the New York Times, the origins may be tracked to Farabi Davletchin, a tae kwon do champion, who posted his video on June 25.

Jason Statham, who was tagged by Davletchin, was one of the first famous people to get involved. “This thing landed on my head from @johnmayer but will quickly go to a couple of fellas we’ve seen do push ups badly. All yours @guyritchie and @jmoontasri,” he wrote in the caption, accompanied by his impressive video, which has now been viewed over 19 million times.

Soon other celebrities like Ryan Reynolds, Justin Bieber, and Carey were posting their own takes on the challenge.

The degree of difficulty seemed to go up with each passing day. Hailey Bieber, challenged by her husband, used an ATV as an accessory and then nominated her good friend Kendall Jenner, who took it to a whole new level.

Seriously, check out these skills as the supermodel expertly gets the cap to spin off while riding a jet ski in a bikini. “You asked for it @haileybieber,” she wrote it the caption.

We knew Jenner was athletic, but this is an insane level of coordination on display. I guess we’ll have to wait and see if anyone can top it.

People Are Accusing Taylor Swift of Copying Beyoncé’s ‘Party’ Video

Here we go again, everybody. Remember in 2017 when people accused Taylor Swift of ripping off Beyoncé with her “Look What You Made Me Do” video? (They said the choreography and sets heavily referenced Bey’s “Sorry” clip from the Lemonade era.) Well, it’s time for round two: Now fans seem to think Swift’s music video for “You Need to Calm Down” is a little too similar to Beyoncé’s 2011 video for “Party.”

Watch the two videos, below, before we break down what evidence social media users are using to argue their case.

“You Need to Calm Down”:

“Party”:

First, the videos both take place in trailer parks and have a festive vibe. “If Taylor Swift wants people to stop accusing her of ripping off Beyoncé, maybe she should quit ripping off Beyoncé,” one person wrote on Twitter. “Her whole ‘above-ground pool party in a trailer park’ vibe cribs a lot of shots from Bey’s ‘Party’ video. This is just one example.”

There are also similar shot-from-above scenes of Beyoncé and Swift floating in aboveground pools, along with similar props.

Some people pointed out that just the overall aesthetics are similar:

Some Swift fans are coming to her defense, though. “Y’all are tripping if you’re saying Taylor Swift copied Beyoncé’s ‘Party,'” one wrote on Twitter. “Taylor didn’t just have a pool party, she literally showed off everything supporting the LGBTQ+ community and did it in a fun manner. I love Bey, but I think the BeyHive is TRIPPIN this time.”

It should be noted that Swift does pay tribute to Queen Bey in the video, literally, by including a drag queen in her likeness during the pop queen pageant scene. (She also included drag queens styled after Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, and Adele, among others.) Swift has not commented on the latest Internet hubbub, but we’ll update this post if she does.
