Kim Kardashian Recreated Elle Wood's Harvard Video for Halloween, and It's Perfect

Kim Kardashian has had some memorable Halloween costumes over the years. She’s been Anna Wintour, Tejano queen Selena, and even Madonna, but this year might mark her best outfit yet. On Thursday, October 31, she posted a photo of herself in a blond wig, touting a bag with a very familiar-looking chihuahua in it and holding a pink feather pen. Yup, it was all in the style of the one and only Elle Woods from the beloved rom-com Legally Blonde.

Kardashian even went the extra mile by posting an entire video inspired by Woods’s Harvard admissions tape. She recreated some of Woods’s most iconic scenes and lines, including the brilliant “I’m able to recall hundreds of important details at the drop of a hat.” Kim wore several of Elle’s looks while recording the video, including the hot pink dress and neon green bikini that Reese Witherspoon made famous in the film.

The costume is clearly poking fun at Kim Kardashian’s goal of becoming a lawyer. Skeptics mocked her after she told Vogue earlier this year she was pursuing a law career and was hoping to take the bar in 2022. “I had to think long and hard about this,” she said. Her decision came after got involved with the justice system while working to help release Alice Marie Johnson, a grandmother who had been serving a life sentence for a first offense, nonviolent drug charge. “I just felt like the system could be so different, and I wanted to fight to fix it, and if I knew more, I could do more,” Kardashian said. This Elle Woods bit proves Kardashian is taking the criticism surrounding her career pivot lightly. Reese Witherspoon is probably living for this, I’m sure. Who knows? Maybe Kim will make an appearance in Legally Blonde 3.

Selena Gomez Wore a $128 Cardigan From Free People in the ‘Lose You to Love Me’ Music Video

Selena Gomez surprised fans this week by releasing not just one but two songs, both allegedly about Justin Bieber.

This news comes three years after Gomez’s last studio album and one month after Bieber’s wedding. She also dropped two new music videos along with the singles, so obviously, there’s a lot to unpack. And yet we couldn’t stop wondering about her look for the “Lose You to Love Me” music video, which features Gomez in a very cute cardigan we’d very much like to snuggle up in post-heartbreak.

Although the look is surprisingly affordable, it should come as no shock that Gomez would wear a sexy cardi, the sweater trend that nearly every celebrity has been spotted wearing this fall. She layered hers over a simple slip dress from Olivia von Halle, but there are countless ways to style this season’s most coveted knit—buttoned or unbuttoned, with vintage jeans and sneakers to slip skirts and thigh-high boots.

This Video of Meghan Markle Opening Up About Media Scrutiny Is Heartbreaking

To say Meghan Markle has had a rough go in the British press since her relationship with Prince Harry went public would be a bit of an understatement. But it’s been especially rough in the past year during her pregnancy and the birth of baby Archie. If she was still a regular celebrity and actor, we probably would have seen a sit-down interview with her, a la a classic Barbara Walters special, where she revealed the toll it’s taken on her.

But such is not the way with the British royal family—usually. But as we’ve all seen, Markle and Prince Harry are doing things their own way—from the way they introduced Archie to the world to their social media style. Now, a new documentary filmed during their recent royal tour in southern Africa is apparently about to shed a lot of light on some of their most private struggles.

In a teaser clip released by ITV, Markle opens up about her feelings when director Tom Bradtby asks her about her own physical and mental health amidst all the press coverage and pressure. “I would say…look, any woman, especially when they’re pregnant, you’re really vulnerable,” she says. “So that was made really challenging. And then when you have a newborn, you know?”

“And especially as a woman, it’s really, it’s a lot. So, if you add this on top of just trying to be a new mom or trying to be a newlywed, it’s um…Yeah, well, I guess, and also thank you for asking because not many people have asked if I’m okay. But it’s a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes.”

Watch the clip for yourself. Frankly, it’s heartbreaking.

Of course, there are many glamorous things that we all imagine come along with being a royal—but there’s also so much baggage that I don’t know that I’d ever want, and this clip illustrates some of that. Harry also opens up about how every camera click reminds him of the worst parts of his mother, Princess Diana’s life.

I can’t wait to see what else is revealed in the special, along with the happy and joyful moments of the tour—and hopefully more clips of Archie.

Harry & Meghan: An African Journey premieres Sunday night in the U.K. and will air on ABC on October 23 at 10 PM

This Video of Kelly Clarkson Covering Lizzo’s 'Juice' Needs to Be Seen

Kelly Clarkson covered Lizzo’s “Juice” on her daytime talk show The Kelly Clarkson Show this week, and the internet still has not recovered. In fact, her energetic take is making people realize just how badly they want a Lizzo-Clarkson collaboration some time in the near future. Who can make this happen?

For the uninitiated, Clarkson’s NBC show, which began airing on September 9, includes an incredible segment called Kellyoke. In it, the very first American Idol winner shows off what she does best: singing for live audiences. The segment is already a hit for obvious reasons, but this latest take on “Juice” elevates the segment to another level. Maybe that’s because the inspirational message of “Juice” was exactly right for the weekly Motivation Monday theme of Clarkson’s show.

Over on Twitter, people are floored. A few pointed out that Clarkson has a history of doing covers—and because she got her start on Idol, there have been a lot throughout her time as a performer. (Remember her first audition with Madonna’s “Express Yourself”?) Even recently she’s made people swoon at concerts, like when she hit every single note while singing “Shallow” at a show in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Anyway, watch her belt “Juice” below:

Some of Clarkson’s other covers on Kellyoke include renditions of Christina Aguilera’s “Ain’t No Other Man,” Britney Spears’s “Till The World Ends,” and Prince’s “Let’s Go Crazy.” She also performed “Straight Up,” a favorite by her former Idol judge Paula Abdul.

Lizzo hasn’t commented on Clarkson’s cover yet, but it feels as if anything could happen in terms of a collaboration. Lizzo is having an incredible year that has included teaming up with her hero Missy Elliott as well as artists like Charli XCX and Da Baby. She was also recently spotted in the studio with Justin Timberlake. Meanwhile, Rihanna has made it pretty clear she wants to work with the flute-playing all-star. So let’s add Clarkson to the list?

This Video of Prince Harry Fixing Meghan Markle's Ponytail Will Warm Your Heart

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s royal tour of southern Africa kicked off on Monday, September 23, and it seems like they’re having a great time. Day one of the festivities, which took place in Cape Town, included some dancing, a moving speech about female empowerment, and a viral moment involving Markle’s ponytail.

What’s that last one, you ask? Well, I’ll show you. At some point during the day, Markle and Prince Harry stopped by a workshop in Cape Town’s Nyanga township that educates children on self-empowerment, where they posed for a few pics with students. As the photographer snapped away, Prince Harry noticed Markle’s ponytail was a bit out of place, and he casually fixed it for her. The Duchess of Sussex seemed unfazed by the move and just kept smiling for photos.

Check out the sweet moment for yourself, below. The duke is always looking out! (The Markle Instagram fan account, @_duchess_of_sussex, has the footage.)

This isn’t the first time Prince Harry has done something like this. Last year at an engagement, he fixed Markle’s hair after the wind slightly messed it up:

Prince Harry and Markle will explore several parts of southern Africa on their tour, including Malawi and Angola. Here are just a few photos from their first day in Cape Town:

People Think Miley Cyrus's New Music Video Is Filled With Nods to Liam Hemsworth

While Taylor Swift remains the indisputable queen of putting Easter eggs in music videos—I mean, have you seen the one for Lover?—it seems Miley Cyrus is taking a page out of Swift’s book, releasing a music video that fans think is chock full of nods to her relationship and subsequent breakup with Liam Hemsworth.

On Friday, September 7, Cyrus dropped the hotly-anticipated music video for her new single “Slide Away.” We’ve all agreed the song was undoubtedly a breakup anthem following her divorce from her husband of less than a year. Lyrics like, “So won’t you slide away. Back to the ocean, I’ll go back to the city lights” and “Move on, we’re not 17” seem to be nods to Hemsworth’s home of Australia and how they met and fell in love when she was 17. (RIP The Last Song.)

As if that wasn’t enough for fans, the music video contains a lot of things that could point to their relationship. In the video, a bored and unimpressed Cyrus wanders through a house as a raucous party unfolds around her. The premise itself is a clear parallel to one of her most famous videos, “We Can’t Stop,” in which the singer throws a wild house party and happily indulges in the partying. Now, as she sings lyrics like, “I want my house in the hills / Don’t want the whiskey and pills” and “I’m not who I used to be” fans can see how much she—and presumably her relationship with Hemsworth—has changed since then. Many fans also assumed the partying and shots of empty liquor and pill bottles could be a reference to Hemsworth’s alleged drug use. (Hemsworth’s reps denied those rumors.)

Eventually in the video, Cyrus heads into the pool, alone, and seems to find peace floating in the water. My interpretation: This is Cyrus letting her fans know she’s found happiness post-breakup—potentially with her rumored new girlfriend, Kaitlynn Carter.

(Can we also take a moment here to also recognize how amazing Cyrus looks in this video? She can truly pull off the wet-hair-don’t-care look, not to mention that chain metal dress that’s giving us serious Kendall Jenner/Paris Hilton 21st birthday dress vibes. And don’t even get me started on that glittery gold eyeshadow that looks straight out of Euphoria.)
