ASOS Is Selling a Rainproof Jumpsuit Designed for People Who Use Wheelchairs


ASOS has been working to expand representation within its line, offering a gender-neutral collection, broadening options for plus-sized women, and promoting positive body image and mental wellness. In keeping with its recent initiatives, the brand has now released a tie-dye rain suit—one that can be zipped together into a jumpsuit, no less. Best of all, it’s designed specifically with wheelchair users in mind.

“Accessible clothing is an area that we’re looking to make improvements in, both in terms of designing clothes differently and helping people with specific needs find what they’re looking for more easily,” ASOS’ corporate website reads.

The coolest part? ASOS partnered with Chloe Ball-Hopkins, a reporter and model who uses a wheelchair, to create the jumpsuit with careful considerations. Online, the jumpsuit’s description reveals that the item is fully waterproof, has a hem that’s a little longer in the back to stop it from riding up, and comes in a relaxed fit. Ball-Hopkins models the piece on the ASOS website, where the jumpsuit sells for $64.

Ball-Hopkin praised the collaboration in a tweet posted on Tuesday: “So over the last several months I have been working with @ASOS to create a fashionable, yet practical waterproof all in one,” she wrote. “Not just for people like me in a chair but for anyone. It’s about making fashion accessible! So what should be next?! https://bit.ly/2KKXAo”

On Twitter, social media users quickly embraced the product and applauded Ball-Hopkin. “Yes. Yes. Yes! This is so good to see. This is what our young people keep asking for and it is great to see @ASOS leading the way with models who are wheelchair users AND fashion which is accessible! Great job @chloe_ballhopzy,” tweeted Whizz-Kidz, a UK charity that supports young people who have disabilities.

Shona Louise, a blogger who wrote a powerful piece about the garment, tweeted, “It’s actually been designed with wheelchair users in mind!! Accessible clothing on @ASOS ? I seriously never thought I’d see this happen, so happy ☺️ I kind of want it.”

Earlier this year, shoppers also noticed that ASOS had launched a campaign that featured Mama Cāx, a model, blogger, and advocate who had a leg amputation. The jumpsuit is ASOS’ latest step forward in accessible fashion—and one that hopefully reverberates in more parts of the industry soon.

Rose McGowan Is Selling Her House to Pay for Her Fight Against Harvey Weinstein


Earlier this month, Rose McGowan attended the Television Critics Association’s press tour in Pasadena, California, where she told reporters that she was planning to sell her house in order to pay for the legal bills she’s accumulated from “fighting off the monsters.” On Friday, the actress and activist, who has publicly accused Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault, listed her home near Nichols Canyon in the Hollywood Hills for $1.9 million.

McGowan has said she reached a $100,000 settlement in 1997 with Weinstein about the alleged rape—and was then promptly blacklisted from Hollywood. But the legal bills McGowan has referred more recently to aren’t due to a broken NDA from the settlement: “I never signed an NDA, actually,” McGowan said at the TCA. “That was a mistake the press made, and actually a mistake that I made for a long time. [I was misinformed] by a lawyer that I had signed one, when in fact it turned out I hadn’t. I thought I remember refusing that. I think NDAs, as we’re finding out, can be broken.”

“It’s really scary,” McGowan said in January about her (unspecified) legal battles. “I’m having to sell my house right now to pay legal bills fighting off the monsters.”

McGowan’s house, which she purchased in 2011 for $1.39 million, is being sold by Tracy Tutor Maltas from Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing: Los Angeles.

The actress’ account of her experience with Weinstein and her work as an activist will appear in both her memoir, Brave, and her new E! docu-series Citizen Rose. The book will be available on January 30, the same day as the show’s premiere.

Huda Kattan's New Foundation Is Selling Out at Sephora Like Crazy

More than crazy eyebrow trends, more than mind-blowing highlighters, the one thing you can always expect from Instagram is flawless skin. If you’re following celebrities, it’s usually thanks to makeup artists doing their thing (and, let’s be real, photo editing apps also come into play). Regardless, it’s clear a lot of effort goes into getting that airbrushed finish, and when makeup artists explain their crazy-detailed foundation routines, those ideas are confirmed. Which is what makes the thought behind Huda Kattan’s Faux Filter foundation so on the mark: it delivers a fine-tuned formula for filtered-looking skin in real life, without the makeup artist know-how. It’s so good, Sephora is already selling out.

After launching all of three days ago, nine of the foundation’s 30 shades are already out of stock. If you’re one of Kattan’s 21.9 million followers, you get the appeal: with a track record of coming up with some of the best, most creative makeup tutorials on the internet, Kattan is obviously keyed into what makes and breaks an incredible formula. That experience comes through in the Faux Filter, which dries to a velvety, soft finish that sinks into your skin.

The shade range is also worth mentioning—Kattan says that after always having to mix her own shade, she went in with an eye on fitting undertones across the board. “There’s so much more to your skin tone than meets the eye. I would hand-mix the formulas myself, make the shade elaboration, and call them back in to test,” says Kattan. “And that’s why I’m so pleased we’ve created a really representative 30-shade offering. We shade-matched hundreds of people to ensure that our final selection would be all-inclusive.”

Also excellent: Kattan included men in the Faux Filter campaign lineup to subtly help break down the norm that makeup is inherently feminine. Priced at $40 each, the last time we saw sell-outs like this was with the Fenty foundation. Given that craze still hasn’t died down, we’d say it’s probably best to make up your mind on the Huda’s shades sooner rather than later.

Taylor Swift Is Selling the 'I Heart T.S.' Crop Tops From the 'Look What You Made Me Do' Video


Taylor Swift has finally released the music video for her newest single Look What You Made Me Do during the 2017 MTV VMAs and fans promptly lost their minds. But now, you can own a piece of this shady history.

While we’re still watching the video on repeat and dissecting every last scene, Taylor is giving the people what they want: merch from the video. Though T.Swift was conspicuously absent from this year’s VMA awards, she clearly planned an elaborate roll out of the world premiere. And one of the shadiest moments was the I <3 T.S. crop tops background dancers wore in one scene, obviously calling out that time Tom Hiddleston wore a similar tank top at Taylor’s 2016 Fourth of July weekend party. Now, stans can show their love too because Taylor is selling similar crop tops on her website.

While it seemed like Tom’s tank was handmade, the official embroidered tee will set you back $50 and won’t ship until September 12. But that’s not all you can take away from the Look What You Made Me Do video. UPS posted on Twitter that pieces of the floor signed by Taylor (and other great prizes like tickets to some of her first shows) will be given out to random fans who pre-order Reputation through their site between now and the November 10 release date. Other products Taylor is selling on her website include shirts with the Reputation album cover art, a “rep” sweater, and various snake motifs.
