Meghan Markle Wears Misha Nonoo's 'Husband' Shirt While Out With Prince Harry

Still reeling from the sight of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry holding hands at the Invictus Games earlier today? (When it comes to royal courtship, we’ll take any PDA we can get.) Well, get ready, because it turns out that the white button-down blouse the actress was wearing during the outing has a rather interesting name—one that probably (definitely) doesn’t mean anything, but is enough to send Twitter into a tizzy.

At first glance, Markle’s shirt looks like any old button-down. Not much to see, right?

Thanks to Twitter, we found out that the style is by designer Misha Nonoo. Cool, though not super surprising—we know that she and Markle are friends. But—oh, what’s that? The particular blouse she’s wearing is called the ‘Husband’ top? And she wore it on her first public appearance with Prince Harry?

Someone get a pulse on all the royal shippers out there.

As you would expect, more than one Twitter user hopped on the idea that Markle’s $185 ‘Husband’ blouse means something about her relationship status—and, also as expected, fans of the Suits star and the British royal were not upset by the thought.

Another interesting development? Turns out, this might not even be the first time Nonoo plays a role in Markle’s relationship: Hello! reported last fall that it was the designer who introduced the actress and Prince Harry.

Though, to be fair, this isn’t the first time Markle wears Nonoo’s ‘Husband’ shirt—in fact, she Instagrammed herself wearing it last year.

Given the context and her companion, though, this most recent #OOTD will be getting a lot more eyeballs.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Hold Hands at a Public Event for the First Time

Over the weekend, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made their first public appearance together at the Invictus Games in Toronto, but there was just one problem: They weren’t physically together. Yes, the two of them were at the same event—but they were seated rows away from each other, which was kind of a bummer.

But they more than made up for that on Monday, September 25. Markle and Prince Harry, both still in Toronto, returned for another competition in the Invictus Games, but this time they arrived hand in hand. It’s significant because this marks the first time the couple has been photographed at an event showing some PDA. (The paparazzi have snapped pics of them holding hands before, but it’s always been during private settings.)

The twosome kept close to each other once they were in the actual venue, as well. People snapped photos of them giggling, whispering into each other’s ears, and sitting together during the event. So cute. So couple-y. So royal. We don’t want to keep you waiting anymore, so check out the photos and videos, below:

Despite the nonstop coverage, we don’t really know that much about Markle and Prince Harry’s relationship. In fact, Markle’s recent interview with Vanity Fair is the most either of them has opened up. “We’re a couple,” she told the magazine for its October issue. “We’re in love. I’m sure there will be a time when we will have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time. This is for us. It’s part of what makes it so special, that it’s just ours. But we’re happy. Personally, I love a great love story.”

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Just Appeared Together in Public for the First Time

Meghan Markle has already confirmed that she and Prince Harry are “really happy and in love“—but the world was still waiting on their public debut, something that’s not taken lightly in the royal world. We had a hint it was coming earlier this morning, and as it turned out, the reports were true: on Saturday, the ginger prince and the Suits actress both attended the Invictus Games, an international athletic competition for soldiers and veterans that’s being held in Toronto through Sept. 30.

Although they didn’t sit together—Harry sat next to First Lady Melania Trump, and Markle sat a few rows away next to her friend Markus Anderson, a consultant for the exclusive Soho House Group and the man who reportedly introduced the pair—this is the first time the pair have attended a public event together.

Markle wore a purple dress and purple leather jacket draped over her shoulders and stood with the rest of the crowd during the Canadian national anthem before cheering on the athletes. Harry, who was sitting one row behind Canada’s prime minister, Justin Trudeau, was seen smiling and talking to Melania, who he’d met earlier in the day, throughout the event.

In her October Vanity Fair cover story Markle predicted that she and Harry would one day bring their relationship out into the light. “I’m sure there will be a time when we will have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time,” she said. “This is for us. It’s part of what makes it so special, that it’s just ours. But we’re happy. Personally, I love a great love story.”

It seems like they’re trying to have the best of both worlds: publicly confirming their relationship while also retaining some of their privacy. And honestly, good for them. As long as we have ample opportunities to watch this fairy tale romance unfold in real life, we’re happy.

September has been a month of important milestones for the couple. Earlier this month, Markle reportedly had her first meeting with Harry’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. According to sources, that meeting “went well” and will “no doubt be the first of many encounters.” Considering good Harry would need the queen’s permission in order to propose to Markle, that seems like a good sign.

Meghan Markle's Ex-Husband Is Making a TV Show About Being Left for a Prince

In perhaps the pettiest move in the history of petty moves, Deadline reports Meghan Markle’s ex-husband, Snowfall producer Trevor Engelson, is making a scripted comedy series about a man whose wife leaves him for a prince. Yup.

It’s important to note this TV show is, indeed, a work of fiction, and Engelson and Markle divorced in 2013—long before she and Prince Harry started dating. Plus, an element of this new series is how the ex-husband shares custody of his kids with the Royal Family, and Markle and Engleson don’t have children.

That said, Deadline reports the idea originated from a conversation Engleson had with another producer, Dan Farah, about what it’d be like if he and Markle did have kids, and he had to share custody with the British Royal Family. Interesting.

Here’s the premise of the series, directly quoted from Deadline‘s story: “Divorce is hard. Sharing custody is harder. Sharing custody with the British Royal family when your wife marries a prince, in the unforgiving spotlight of London’s tabloid media, is next level.”

Markle reportedly has no involvement in the show, further driving home the point that it’s completely fiction. Engleson and Farah are producing alongside Jake Kasdan, one of the masterminds behind New Girl. So, in other words, expect some serious laughs.

There’s no launch date set for the series, but it’s expected to air on Fox. We recommend everyone who’s obsessed with the Royal Family keep a close eye on it, though.

Markle’s relationship with Prince Harry has been meticulously documented over the last few months. We’re a couple,” she told Vanity Fair. “We’re in love. I’m sure there will be a time when we will have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time. This is for us. It’s part of what makes it so special, that it’s just ours. But we’re happy. Personally, I love a great love story.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Will Reportedly Make Their Official Debut as a Couple in September

There’s been a very exciting development in today’s royals news: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, that couple-that-isn’t-official-but-everyone-knows-they-are we all have in our social circle, are going to be making their first joint appearance together. Finally.

The Daily Mail reports that the ginger prince and Suits star will step out for the first time together at the Invictus Games in Toronto on September 23. (The palace has not yet confirmed this.) That fair Canadian metropolis also happens to be where Suits is filmed, meaning their first time being Publicly Official will be in her adopted home. So cute.

It’s also a big deal because the Invictus Games, an international athletic competition for soldiers and veterans, is a cause close to Harry’s heart. (Another cause he’s passionate about? The mental-health foundation, Heads Together, he leads with Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, AKA Kate Middleton. He is too good for this world.)

We know that their love is pretty much on fire right now: she flew to London to be with him for his birthday in August, and last week, she opened up by telling the world that “we’re in love.”

According to the Daily Mail, the two aren’t doing their romance transatlantically, however: “She and Harry currently stay in Nottingham Cottage, a small two-bedroom house in the palace grounds.” Cosy Cozy! However, she (likely) hasn’t met the Queen yet: protocol dictates you don’t usually do that until the ring’s on the finger.

However, according to the same newspaper of record, the Palace is also working to get Markle’s Suits publicity commitments toned down a bit, “an apparent clearing of the decks and part of what some are calling ‘Operation Princess.”

If this means what it is easily read to mean—indeed, says the Mail, the two are “as good as engaged”—well, 2018 is looking up.

Prince George Looks Absolutely Adorable on His First Day of School

PHOTO: Richard Pohle / Getty Images

Ah, to be 4 years old again. Prince George, despite his princely title and the almost-certain fact that he’ll be reigning over the United Kingdom someday, just embarked on a right of passage for all youngsters everywhere: his first day of school.

As reported by The Telegraph, George was escorted to his posh Thomas’s Battersea school on Wednesday morning by his father, Prince William. Mom Kate Middleton, sadly, wasn’t able to accompany the two due to her intense morning sickness, as she is currently about 12 weeks pregnant with her third child. “Unfortunately the Duchess of Cambridge remains unwell, and will not be able to accompany Prince George on his first day of school,” a statement released by Kensington Palace read. “The Duke of Cambridge will drop off Prince George this morning as planned.”

George’s arrival was a casual affair, with William taking him by the hand and holding his backpack while they walked up to the building. He’ll be required to wear a spiffy little uniform while attending Thomas’s Battersea—look at that sweater and polo combo!—and he’ll eschew his royal title, per The Telegraph, to be referred to as George Cambridge by his teachers and peers. Additionally, his class will contain about 22 children and he’ll reap in the benefits of his own desk and locker. Just don’t expect any VIP treatment.

“Our aim for him, as well as for all of our pupils, is to provide a safe and secure and happy environment where he feels supported by a kind and loving community. That’s all we will be trying to achieve for him,” the school’s headmaster explained. “There won’t be any special treatment at all. In fact what his parents would like for him, as any parent would like for their child, is they have a wonderful, fulfilling, and private childhood in a place which is secure … We want him to have the confidence to be himself with all his quirks and idiosyncrasies and characteristics.”

Good luck, little prince!
