Camila Cabello Opens Up About Spending Halloween With Taylor Swift

Camila Cabello embodied all of us last year when she attended Taylor Swift’s model-studded Halloween bash dressed as a “Grandma Who Couldn’t Find Her Cat Because She Sat on It.” The look became an instant classic and was a stark contrast to the slinkier costumes Swift’s other friends, like Gigi Hadid and Martha Hunt, sported that evening. No shade to anyone who opts for a sexy Halloween costume, but Cabello’s outfit just felt so relatable—we’ve all been in a situation where it feels like you missed a dress code memo.

And during her interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show on Monday evening (September 25), Cabello finally opened up about what it was like to be the “grandma” in a sea of sexy cub scouts.

“I didn’t [leave the costume on for the whole party],” she said. “I walk in, and it was, like, Gigi Hadid, Martha Hunt—these models—and I just walk in, like (goofy face). Then these two attractive guys come in, so I went to the bathroom. I had this black turtleneck and pants under it, and I went to the bathroom and took [the costume] off. And then I came back out, and I was like, ‘I was really hot.'”

We’ve all been there. Everyone knows what it’s like to attend a T.Swift Halloween party in a gag costume but immediately rip it off because two guys with washboard abs walk in. OK, maybe we don’t, but Cabello did what 98 percent of humans with a pulse would’ve done in this scenario.

Honestly, though, Cabello should’ve kept the costume on. If the guys at the party couldn’t appreciate her A+ costume, then they weren’t worth her time.

Watch Cabello tell this story for yourself in the video, below:

Let this be a lesson to everyone who wants to dress as “Grandma Who Sits on a Cat” this Halloween: Own it. (Unless you actually feel overheated—in which case, yes, take it off.)

Kim Kardashian Opens Up About Her Miscarriage Scare With North

Between 10 and 25 percent of pregnancies result in miscarriage—and for a brief period, Kim Kardashian believed hers with North was one of them.

The reality star describes the scare in the upcoming Keeping Up With The Kardashians 10th Anniversary Special. During the pregnancy, she experienced “debilitating” pain in her stomach, she says. On Thanksgiving, she flew to Miami to see her doctor. “I thought I had a miscarriage. I was pretty certain about it,” she recounts. The doctor agreed, saying, “there’s no heartbeat—you had a miscarriage,” but he told her to come back just in case. Thankfully, there was a heartbeat after all.

The whole pregnancy was emotional from beginning to end. After being warned by a doctor that she may have a difficult time, she was terrified to learn she was pregnant. “I remember calling [Kanye] and he thought a family member of mine had died, I was so hysterical,” she says. “I thought my life was over, that I was pregnant and [it was going to be] so hard for me.”

She also experienced a condition called placenta accreta—which prevented her placenta from detaching from her uterus—during both her pregnancies. On her blog, she said that getting the placenta removed was the “most painful experience of my life.”

For her next child, Kim is reportedly bypassing some of these issues by hiring a surrogate. “I can’t carry anymore kids…it’s the worst,” she said on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. “It’s not going to be happy for me.” The surrogate’s identity hasn’t been made public, but Us Weekly recently reported she was already pregnant.

Ivanka Trump Opens Up For the First Time About Her Postpartum Depression

Postpartum depression can affect any new mom—and First Daughter Ivanka Trump just revealed she is one of them. Trump told Dr. Oz “with each of my three children I had some level of postpartum depression,” in a new sit-down interview, which will air on Thursday.

While there have been several celebrities who have recently talked openly about dealing with postpartum depression including Chrissy Teigen and Sarah Michelle Gellar, Trump told Dr. Oz she didn’t plan on being one of them. When Dr. Oz asked what made Trump feel ready to talk now, she said “Well, I didn’t know that I was [ready]! But you asked me a question and it’s incredibly important.” Trump is right, of course— many moms who are experiencing symptoms of postpartum depression don’t get treatment because of the stigma surrounding the condition and the pressures of new parenthood.

Trump acknowledges how hard it can be to admit to yourself and those around you that you’re experiencing postpartum depression. “Look, I consider myself a very hard-charging person, I am ambitious, I’m passionate, I’m driven,” she told Dr. Oz. “But this is something that affects parents all over the country.” In other words, no matter how strong you are—physically or emotionally for that matter—postpartum depression can strike anyone, and it does not mean you are a bad parent.

Trump also admits she was taken aback by her symptoms, though she doesn’t go into too much detail about what she experienced. “I had such easy pregnancies that in some ways the juxtaposition hit me even harder,” she explains. “It was a very challenging, emotional time for me because I felt like I was not living up to my potential as a parent.”

These kinds of feelings are extremely common among women experiencing postpartum depression. If you think you may have postpartum depression, reach out as soon as possible to a therapist or even your ob-gyn, who can recommend a therapist, as symptoms can worsen over time. And tell your partner or family members, too—as Trump and these other celebs have shown, there’s no reason to feel like you have to go through it alone.

Meghan Markle Opens Up for the First Time About Prince Harry: 'We're Two People Who Are Really Happy and in Love'

From the moment news broke that Suits actress Meghan Markle was dating Prince Harry, it’s been a non-stop media frenzy around the two. In fact, the negative headlines—many of which were racist about the fact that Meghan is biracial—and constant paparazzi presence got so bad that Harry had to issue a statement asking everyone to back off. (They didn’t.)

Through all of this, though, Meghan has stayed silent on how she’s been dealing with her increased fame—until now, that is. In a new cover interview with Vanity Fair, the actress opened up about the pressure that comes with dating a royal and how they’re getting through it together. “It has its challenges, and it comes in waves—some days it can feel more challenging than others,” she explains. “And right out of the gate it was surprising the way things changed. But I still have this support system all around me, and, of course, my boyfriend’s support.”

But how do they make it work when their every move is followed and documented? “I can tell you that at the end of the day I think it’s really simple,” she says. “We’re two people who are really happy and in love. We were very quietly dating for about six months before it became news, and I was working during that whole time, and the only thing that changed was people’s perception. Nothing about me changed. I’m still the same person that I am, and I’ve never defined myself by my relationship.”

Still, there’s another way Meghan avoids the media attention: by not reading any articles about her or Harry. “I haven’t even read press for Suits,” she explains. “The people who are close to me anchor me in knowing who I am. The rest is noise.”

With that noise in the background, the only thing that really matters for Meghan is focusing on her and Harry’s relationship. “We’re a couple,” she explains. “We’re in love. I’m sure there will be a time when we will have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time. This is for us. It’s part of what makes it so special, that it’s just ours. But we’re happy. Personally, I love a great love story.”

Angelina Jolie Opens Up About Adjusting to the Single Life

Almost one year after her split from husband Brad Pitt—and amid tabloid rumors of reconciliation—Angelina Jolie has opened up about her singledom in a new interview with the Sunday Telegraph. The actress and director of First They Killed My Father spoke to the British newspaper after a long day of promoting her new movie, admitting that press interviews aren’t as easy as they used to be.

“I am a little shy this time because I am not as strong inside as I have been in the past,” she told the Telegraph.

The actress, 42, filed for divorce in 2016 after a two-year marriage and 12-year relationship with Pitt—which makes for a lot of history to share with someone. So it’s not surprising that she admitted that being alone has hit her hard.

“It’s not something I wanted. There’s nothing nice about it. It’s just hard. Sometimes maybe it appears I am pulling it all together, but really I am just trying to get through my days,” said Jolie, who shares six children with Pitt, three of whom are adopted. “ Emotionally it’s been a very difficult year, and I have had some other health issues. So my health is something I have to monitor.”

Jolie is moving forward by looking at her difficult year as an opportunity to change—which means reconnecting with her fun self again.

“I think now I need to rediscover a little bit of the old me,” she said. “I think we lose our way a bit. I have had a lot happen in my life, from certain people passing to health issues to raising the children.”

She continued: “And it’s been a very good time to absorb and develop and grow. But maybe now that my kids are growing up, I am starting to realize that my own sense of play has been put on hold for a while. And maybe them hitting their teens is going to bring out a little more fun in Mom. So maybe I am going back. It may be time.”

It’s refreshing to hear Jolie speak so freely and openly about her emotions and her feelings surrounding her divorce. Seeing her divorce as a chance to grow and change is a perspective that not many people take and it’s immensely inspiring.
