Watching Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian Annoy Scott Disick in the Car Is Oddly Satisfying


Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian have their own bizarre language. The episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians where they shadily call Kim “Nancy” deserves an Emmy, to be quite honest. And when they ragged on Kris Jenner for her Miranda Priestly haircut last year? I think about it, at minimum, three times a week. If I leave this earth without Kourtney and Khloé asking me, “What the fuck is going on on your head?” at least once, then I haven’t lived, damn it.

Scott Disick doesn’t have this problem, lucky for him. He sees Kourtney and Khloé all the time—most recently today, March 20, when they picked on him for an entire car ride.

But they didn’t call him “Nancy” or make fun of his haircut. Instead they said a bunch of random words in British accents until Disick cracked. What, you haven’t done this before? I was talking to strangers in a British accent just 20 minutes ago. (Kidding.)

Khloé and Kourtney are truly the only people who would do this, and we love them for it. So here’s what happened: The two were having a ball in the car saying nonsensical things like “subliminally sublime” in full British accents. Meghan Markle would be so proud, but Disick definitely wasn’t. He sat next to Khloé scowling and looking out the window as she and Kourtney rambled on like confused extras in Downton Abbey.

“Scott hates us,” Khloé captioned one of her Instagram Story videos. And it’s true: He doesn’t look happy at all. Maybe it has nothing to do with Khloé and Kourtney, though. Maybe he’s randomly recalling the time he spent $200 at Burger King. That would certainly make me upset.

Regardless, the British accents keep flying and Scott’s annoyance only grows. Just look at his eyes here! That’s a look I give only when the Applebee’s waiter tells me my food is running 15 minutes late. Khloé and Kourtney didn’t deserve this!

Eventually, Scott cracks and says one of Khloé and Kourtney’s weird phrases, but not in a British accent (boo). It’s oddly satisfying to watch, so head over to Khloé ‘s Instagram Stories and check it out.

Nick Jonas Gave Priyanka Chopra a $170,750 Car Because His Song Went Number One


Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have never really done anything halfway when it comes to their relationship. They’ve had early dates at the Met Ball, hosted multiple wedding receptions to celebrate their marriage, and put their love on display in a music video for Jonas’ new song, “Sucker.”

Now, we can add extravagant gift-giving to the list. In honor of the Jonas Brothers’ “Sucker” hitting number one on the Billboard Top 100, Jonas gave his wife a brand new Mercedes Maybach. (This is the first time the Jonas Brothers have made it to the very top of the charts, previously topping at number five with “Burnin’ Up” in 2008.) It’s obviously a huge accomplishment that Jonas wanted to mark in a special way.

Chopra showed off her new ride, which she dubbed “Extra Chopra Jonas,” on Instagram, writing, “When the hubby goes number one.. the wifey gets a @maybach !! Introducing.. Extra Chopra Jonas.. haha .. I love you baby!! Yaaay! Best husband ever.” Also spotted in the photo, some (surely expensive) bubbly and Chopra’s dog, Diana.

These two are nothing if not publicly supportive of each other’s career accomplishments, as Chopra bragged about her husband’s milestone in a previous post:

The car, a 2019 Mercedes Maybach S650, starts selling at $170,750. Add in any customizations, and you have one helluva expensive gift. Perhaps Jonas credits his wife with some of the song’s success, given that “Sucker” and the accompanying video are all about the women in the Jonas Brothers’ lives. Chopra plays a starring role, alongside Joe Jonas’ fiancé, Sophie Turner, and Kevin Jonas’ wife, Danielle Jonas. The lyrics may have been a clue: “And you’re making the typical me break my typical rules. It’s true, I’m a sucker for you, yeah.”

No word yet on whether Danielle and Sophie can expect similar gifts from Joe and Kevin.

This Is Reportedly Why Meghan Markle Will No Longer Be Closing Her Own Car Doors


Remember when the internet lost its mind because Meghan Markle, a human person who happens to be married to a prince, closed her own car door upon arriving at an event? Yes, this was an actual thing.

“A princess who still takes the time to shut her car door. Well done Meghan!” wrote The Sun.

“First time I’ve seen an on-duty princess shut her own car door…” tweeted another user.

Now, it turns out, that Markle’s days of car door closing (at least at official engagements) might be done—and it’s reportedly due to safety concerns. The Sun cites sources who state that royal protection officers have warned the Duchess of Sussex to stop this seemingly harmless behavior due to threats.

The reasoning seems to be that they may need to get her back into the vehicle quickly, and if the doors—which are self-locking—are closed there could be an issue. “Nothing is more important to these guys than protecting the Royal Family,” says The Sun‘s source. “Meghan and Harry like to meet the public as much as possible and make contact with the crowds that come to see them. And although having a car door closed might seem like a trivial thing, it could be the difference.”

“God forbid if anything did go wrong arriving at a royal engagement, but security need to be able to get them back into cars in seconds if needs be. If they’re closed and locked, it’s impossible.”

Markle seems to be heeding the warning: She’s been spotted at several recent engagements leaving the door open and available for others to close on her behalf. While, of course, safety is of the utmost importance, here’s hoping she can still hang onto at least a few normal-people tasks while performing her royal duties.

Twitter Is Really Praising Meghan Markle For Shutting Her Own Car Door


Meghan Markle is receiving so much love on the Internet right now for closing her own car door. No, I’m not kidding.

On Tuesday (September 25), the Duchess of Sussex attended her first-ever solo outing for the opening of the Oceania exhibit at the Royal Academy of Art in London and was captured on camera closing her own car door. This, it turns out, is apparently a really big deal. Upon arriving at the event, she exited her car, shook hands with one of the hosts, then turned around and, well, shut the door.

As with any time Markle does something “normal” (like straighten her hair), Twitter used the occasion to praise the newest member of the royal family for being just like the rest of commoners. “A princess who still takes the time to shut her car door. Well done Meghan!” wrote The Sun‘s royal correspondent Emily Andrews, along with a video of the occurrence. “First time I’ve seen an on-duty princess shut her own car door…” tweeted another user. Others took the opportunity to laud the duchess for how “humble” and “down to earth” she is, despite her new role in Kensington Palace.

To be clear, this isn’t even the first time Markle has shut her own car door since becoming a royal (not counting the approximate 200,000 times she likely also shut her own car door in her pre-duchess days). People notes that she also did the honors last week upon arriving at the launch of her Together: Our Community Cookbook.
