It’s become somewhat of a Kardashian-Jenner tradition to throw some seriously over-the-top parties—who among us could ever forget Kylie Jenner‘s Stormi World? So, naturally, to celebrate North West‘s sixth birthday on Saturday (June 15), as well as Penelope Disick‘s upcoming seventh birthday on July 8, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian pulled out all the stops to give their daughters a bash they’re definitely going to remember. On Saturday, the sisters brought the game of Candy Land to life by throwing an incredible sweets-themed party.
Kim and Kourtney shared clips of the event on their Instagram Stories—and let’s just say the sugar crash must have been real when the party was all over. There were lollipops, sour ropes, M&Ms, gummi bears, gumballs, Pez, cupcakes, cake pops, and more. It’s unclear which of the Kardashian sisters’ homes the lavish party was held at, but whoever’s backyard it was held in was transformed into the Hasbro board game, complete with a rainbow walkway, candy-themed bounce house, and giant balloons.

A record number of African American women graduated from the prestigious West Point military academy on Saturday: Of the 200 female cadets graduating, 34 were black—and they’re part of making the class of 2019 the most diverse class in the mostly white, mostly male, military academy’s 217-year history.
“I just showed myself and those who thought I could do it initially that yes, I can,” cadet Stephanie Riley told the Associated Press. “And not just, ‘yes, I can.’ I can show other little girls that, yes, you can come to West Point. Yes, you can do something that maybe the rest of your peers aren’t actually doing. And yes, you can be different from the rest of the group.”
The graduating class of African American female cadets posed for a stunning photo together that has since gone viral. In it, the women are seen in uniform as they hold up their ceremonial sabers.

Two more records for West Point were also set on graduation day: The graduating class’s 200 female cadets is the largest number since the first woman graduated in 1980, and the 2019 class also included greatest amount of Latin-Americans graduating in the school’s history with a total of 88.
Clearly, there’s still a long way to go until there’s representative diversity at West Point—1,000 cadets in total graduated on Saturday. But the grads are already thinking about the next generation.
“I want women to be soldiers,” cadet Welch-Baker told NBC. “I want these little black girls to say ‘Hey, I can do it too. I have the strength to defy the odds.’ Which is what we did. We defied the odds.”
Kim Kardashian and husband Kanye West‘s third child, Chicago West, just turned 1 on January 15—and you can bet the proud parents weren’t going to let that pass without an extravagant celebration.
“Guys, it’s Chicago’s first birthday party. Can you guys guess what the theme is?” Kardashian asks in a clip posted to her Instagram Stories. She then took her fans on a tour of her house, which was completely transformed for the party.
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star threw a very, well, Kardashian Alice in Wonderland-themed party, complete with a crafts table and too many desserts to count. There was a cake decorated with Lewis Carroll’s Cheshire cat, as well as doughnuts, cake pops, cookies, macaroons, and chocolate-covered pretzels.
Check out some of the Instagram Stories Kardashian posted below from the big day, including guest appearances from Mary, Queen of Hearts, and Alice herself.
Life-sized chess set? Check. Indoor maze? But of course.
There were some frankly delicious-looking snacks.
And, of course, Kardashian shared an adorable clip of the birthday girl and her brother Saint.
Party guests included Kourtney Kardashian and her kids, Mason, 9, Penelope, 6, and Reign, 4, as well as Khloé Kardashian and her 9-month-old daughter, True. (Kylie Jenner wasn’t in attendance since she’s enjoying a vacation getaway with her family.)
Chrissy Teigen, John Legend, and their two kids, Luna and Miles were at the bash. Teigen also posted a bunch of Stories on her Instagram, plus a few actual Instagram posts, including this adorable mother-daughter shot. “Luna looking like she stole something. Happy birthday, Chicago!! Thank you for having us!!” she captioned the pic.
She also posted a few Stories from the party, which honestly give us a little FOMO:
Adorable? Over the top? We wouldn’t expect anything less from a milestone Kardashian bash.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are reportedly expecting their fourth child via surrogate, Us Weekly reports.
The couple hasn’t confirmed the news yet themselves, but rumors of them wanting a fourth child have been swirling around for months. In August, Us Weekly reported Kardashian and West had one embryo left, a male. If true, this means their baby-to-be is a boy. According to Us Weekly, he’s due in “very early May.”
Kardashian and West used a surrogate to welcome their third child, a daughter named Chicago, in January 2018. After her second natural pregnancy, Kardashian began suffering from placenta accreta, a condition in which the placenta and uterine wall bind too tightly. It was after this she decided to explore surrogacy as an option for having more children.
“My doctor had to stick his entire arm in me and detach the placenta with his hand, scraping it away from my uterus with his fingernails,” Kardashian wrote in her blog about the condition. “My mom was crying; she had never seen anything like this before. My delivery was fairly easy, but then going through that—it was the most painful experience of my life! They gave me a second epidural but we were racing against time, so I just had to deal.”
In November 2017, she opened up about the differences between having a child naturally and via surrogate. “You know, it is really different,” Kardashian told Entertainment Tonight. “Anyone that says or thinks it is just the easy way out is just completely wrong. I think it is so much harder to go through it this way, because you are not really in control. And, you know, obviously you pick someone that you completely trust and that you have a good bond and relationship with, but it is still…knowing that I was able to carry my first two babies and not, you know, my baby now, it’s hard for me. So it’s definitely a harder experience than I anticipated just in the control area.”
Congrats, Kimye! We’ll update this post if and win the couple confirms this news.
On Thursday, Ariana Grande stepped into the Kanye West/Drake clash and encouraged people to turn their attention away from the feud to focus on “beautiful, new songs” she and Miley Cyrus had dropped. “Guys, i know there are grown men arguing online rn but miley and i dropping our beautiful, new songs tonight so if y’all could please jus behave for just like a few hours so the girls can shine that’d be so sick thank u,” she tweeted.
Apparently that didn’t make West very happy. On Saturday, the rapper fired off a few tweets aimed at Grande, letting her know that “all of this foolishness weighed on my mental health” and directing her not to “use me or this moment to promote a song.”
It was a pointed accusation, but Grande wasn’t going to let that one sit. She clapped back in the nicest way possible: In her own tweet, she said that she was sorry she had offended him, but made it crystal clear she doesn’t need him to promote her music.
“With all due respect,” she wrote, “I don’t need to use anyone to promote anything. period. I was making a comment ab what men were doing at the time vs. women. It was a joke which i understand now was probably insensitive. I apologize if i was in any way triggering and hope u feel well today.”
Grande’s comments seemed to read more about the public focusing on “grown men arguing” than attacking West, and she seemed to be getting at how oftentimes women’s accomplishments are overshadowed by men in the media. Still, she did her part to try to smooth things over.
The singer had made the joke about the Kanye-Drake showdown just before releasing her newest song, “Imagine,” which many people think is about her relationship with Mac Miller, who passed away this year. Although she hasn’t revealed who inspired the track, she did share that it’s about “pretending” a relationship “never ended.”
Just because Kanye West and Drake stopped throwing shade — at least in public forums —at each other a handful of months ago doesn’t mean they’ve reconciled. West made sure that everyone knew exactly that when he took to Twitter yesterday, where he called out Drake for everything from trying to clear a sample of one of his songs to texting Kris Jenner and “playing all these industry games.” Oh, right, and Kanye also suggested that Drake is “trying to take food out of [his] idol’s kids’ mouth” as in the three kids that West shares with Kim Kardashian.
West’s reigniting of their feud started when he tweeted a screenshot of a text message from someone named “Free.” In the text message, West was asked whether or not he wanted to approve Drake’s sample of his 808s & Heartbreak track “Say You Will.” (Drake used the sample in his 2009 So Far Gone mixtape track “Say What’s Real,” which is presumably due for a reissue on its 10th anniversary, as Billboardnotes.) West didn’t immediately share his answer but he did tweet the screenshot of the request with the words, “This proves sh-t faker than wrestling.”
He then demanded an apology from Drake “for mentioning the 350s and trying to take food out [his] idol’s kids’ mouths.” West also revealed that he has been contacting Drake since his GOOD Music artist Pusha T entered into a feud with Drake, when Pusha T dropped the bombshell that the Toronto rapper has a secret son (which Drake later admitted to on his own album, Scorpion). “Been trying to meet with you for 6 months bro,” West tweeted. “You sneak dissing on [Travis Scott] records and texting Kris [Jenner] talking bout how’s the family.”
What is more hilarious: picturing Drake’s text thread with Kris Jenner or the fact that this whole time Kanye could have walked a few doors down to talk to Drake in person? (They both live in the same Hidden Hills enclave of Calabasas.) The verdict is out, but things quickly became less amusing when West brought up Drake’s child, Adonis Graham.
Apparently, Drake has been thinking that West is the one who informed Pusha T that he had a son — and West took the opportunity to set the record straight. “I told you I ain’t tell Pusha about your son,” he tweeted. “It’s all love bro bro but don’t play with me. You stay too close to be playing all these industry games bro. Sending purple emojis when I’m dealing with mental shit. I need my apologies now. Not through Scooter [Braun] either. Not through Travis [Scott]. No tough talk either. This ain’t about who could pay to have something done to somebody. This man to man bro. This been bothering me too long… Stop this already bro. You getting people hurt out here. And over what.”
Kanye’s call out actually worked because shortly after he tweeted that he had spoken to Drake. “Drake finally called,” he tweeted. “Mission accomplished.” One thing, however, didn’t get resolved: “By the way,” West tweeted of the sample Drake was hoping to get permission to use, “not cleared?.”
The drama doesn’t end there, though. Later in the night, West tweeted that Drake called “trying to threatened me.” Enter Kim. “@drake Never threaten my husband or our family,” she tweeted. “He paved the way for there to be a Drake.”
She continued, “My husband is the most brilliant person, the most genius person that I know. He has broken so many boundaries, everything from music, stage design, fashion and culture and will continue to change the world.”
