Here's How to Stream the 2019 Golden Globes


The 2019 Golden Globes are shaping up to be an excellent time. Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh are hosting, which is literally a match made in heaven. Plus, so many of your favorite celebrities are expected to attend, including Lady Gaga, Emily Blunt, Janelle Monáe, and Gina Rodriguez. I’m personally waiting on the edge of my seat to see what Gaga wears—and if she busts out a surprise performance of “Hair Body Face.” (It’s one of the best songs from the A Star Is Born soundtrack, and no one is talking about it!)

People will certainly be talking about the Globes, though: Tonight’s ceremony is the true kickoff to awards season, and it’s arguably the most fun of them all. Maybe it’s because everyone’s seated at tables. Maybe it’s because we don’t waste time on boring categories. Maybe it’s because the celebrities can (and often do) drink. Who knows? Regardless, the Golden Globes are about to be everywhere, so you definitely need to watch.

Don’t have cable? No problem. There are still plenty of ways you can stream the Globes. Below, check out your options:

1. Sling TV or Hulu Live. You can access NBC from these platforms, which means you can watch the Globes.

2. The NBC website and NBC app. You will need a cable login for this, but let’s be real: You can probably borrow your friend’s (or friend’s mother’s). We’re not encouraging you to do that, but we’re not not encouraging you, either.

3. YouTube. Have access to YouTube TV? Then you can watch the Globes. Other services that offer access include DirecTV Now, Century Link Stream, and Fubo TV.

Happy watching! The red carpet for the Globes begins at 6 P.M. ET. Facebook Watch will be streaming it, as well as NBC.com and E! Online. The formal ceremony begins at 8 P.M. ET on NBC.

12 Shows To Stream at the Gym the Next Time Your Motivation Is Negative 5


I have a love-hate relationship with working out. Some days, I’m really excited about going to the gym; other times, though, I’d rather swan-dive into a beehive than do 30 minutes of cardio. It’s on those days, which happen quite a bit, that I need extra motivation to get to the gym. When a playlist of high-energy pop songs doesn’t do the trick. I turn to these 12 TV series, which are all streaming on at least one platform. There’s something about each of these shows that makes them great workout fare. Some are quick watches, so by the time I’m done with three episodes my workout is finished. Others are so melodramatic that I get engrossed and forget where I am (the treadmill). Try watching them the next time your motivation to get to the gym is negative five. Tyra Banks’ ‘We were all rooting for you!’ monologue will get you there. I promise.

Coming to Netflix in November 2017: 83 Movies and TV Shows Available to Stream Soon


This November 1, nurse your Halloween candy-corn-induced hangover with all of the new movies and TV shows that will be available on Netflix. There’s something for everyone: films like Scary Movie, Casper, and Oculus for people still in the Halloween spirit, comforting classics like Field of Dreams and Charlotte’s Web for those who want the movie equivalent of a warm blanket, and critically acclaimed dramas like The Reader and The Pursuit of Happyness for sleepyheads who need some mental stimulation.

The offerings get even better as the month goes on too—especially when it comes to Netflix originals. November brings the debut of Alias Grace, a series based on Margaret Atwood’s historical fiction novel of the same name. You can also expect a new season of Maria Bamford’s brilliant Lady Dynamite, the series adaptation of Spike Lee’s She’s Gotta Have It, and the premiere of the original film Mudbound, which is already getting Oscar buzz.
