Blake Lively Plays a Blind Woman Who Regains Her Sight in the First 'All I See Is You' Trailer


In June 2016, Blake Lively released a genuinely terrifying shark movie called The Shallows. You remember it, right? She played a surfer who found herself stuck on a rock in the middle of the ocean, only feet away from a man-eating shark. What transpired was a 90-minute fight for survival that kept you on the edge of your seat. Truthfully, I’m not sure how Lively’s ever going to top it.

Well, actually, I do: Her upcoming film All I See Is You looks just as thrilling as The Shallows, but in a completely different way. Lively plays Gina, a blind woman who’s dependent on her husband, James (Jason Clarke), for pretty much everything—but that all changes when Gina undergoes surgery and regains her sight. Now that Gina’s literally seeing clearly for the first time, the dynamic in her marriage changes. She wants to go out, explore, and live her life loudly, but that doesn’t seem to sit well with James. That’s what this trailer suggests, at least.

“I just feel like I knew everything, and now I don’t,” Gina tells James after getting the surgery, which is pretty much code for, “Wow, I’m hot as hell, and I don’t want to spend my time sitting around the house with some scrub anymore.”

The premise of All I See Is You reads like your average romantic thriller, but this trailer hints at some serious scares. Is James going to go all Fatal Attraction on Gina and kill the guys she flirts with? Is he going to try to…make her blind again? That would be seriously effed up. We’ll find out when All I See Is You hits theaters October 27.

Blake Lively Is Channeling 'Orange Is the New Black' for Her New Movie


Blake Lively’s filmography runs the gamut. Of course, she’s best known for playing Serena van der Woodsen on The CW’s hit series Gossip Girl, but her range extends far past the Upper East Side. She battled a man-eating shark in The Shallows, remained ageless (literally) in The Age of Adaline, and wore the same pair of jeans for days in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.

One role she hasn’t played, however, is prison inmate—well, she has now. Photos surfaced this week of Lively on the set of her new film, A Simple Favor, and she’s serving some serious Orange Is the New Black vibes in them. And by that we mean she’s wearing an orange prison jumpsuit. Yup. Check it out for yourself, below:

Here’s what we know about A Simple Favor: It’s based on the novel of the same name by Darcey Bell and centers on a mommy blogger (Anna Kendrick), her best friend who goes missing (Lively), and the latter’s husband (Henry Golding). Lively was photographed on set a few weeks ago crying with a fake black eye, so this film is pretty dramatic.

Why Lively’s character ends up in jail is a mystery to everyone who hasn’t read the novel. These tiny previews suggest A Simple Favor is the most intense film Lively has ever done—yes, even more harrowing than killing a 20-foot monster shark by herself.

But Serena lovers shouldn’t completely freak out: There’s still a little bit of dazzle in Lively’s jumpsuit look. Notice how her shirt is slightly tied up. You have to accessorize in some way, am I right?

A Simple Favor is slated for a 2018 release.

Ryan Reynolds Hilariously Trolled Blake Lively for Her Birthday


On top of being one of the funniest stars on social media, actor Ryan Reynolds makes up one half of one of our favorite celebrity couples. The other half? None other, of course, than our September cover star, actress Blake Lively—who happened to turn 30 on Friday. And as his own little way of sending birthday greetings to his talented wife, Reynolds posted a photo on Instagram that takes trolling to an expert level.

If you’ve ever scrolled through Reynolds’ Twitter feed—if you haven’t, please treat yourself—you know that his social media game is as strong as his dark sense of humor. For Blake’s birthday, the actor kept up his Internet antics by Instagramming the standard “Happy Birthday” photo of his wife posing with him on the red carpet with the caption, “Happy Birthday to my amazing wife.” But he cropped a very important part out: the birthday girl herself.

Amazing, right?

It reminds us of the expert Photoshop skills Lively herself showed off earlier this month when she edited a photo of herself and some of her Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants co-stars. Lively, Alexis Bledel, and Amber Tamblyn all got together recently—but sadly America Ferrera wasn’t able to make it. In the spirit of true best-friendship, Lively added Ferrera into the photo so she wouldn’t feel left out.

She captioned the Instagram, “Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya AF @americaferrera while professionally editing you into this photo, I realized you have the coolest and most appropriate initials EVER! #BadassAF #SistersForever #tbt”

It’s obvious Lively and Reynolds are a match made in Instagram-humor (if not graphic design) heaven.

Blake Lively Edited America Ferrera Into the Latest 'Sisterhood' Reunion Pic


The Internet is pretty obsessed with the fact that the cast of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants—Blake Lively, Alexis Bledel, Amber Tamblyn, and America Ferrera—are best friends in real life. Whenever these women get together for brunch or even just a photo at an event, it’s labeled as a big “reunion”—and that’s a bit of a stretch. They’re friends, y’all! They hang out! It’s only a reunion if they haven’t seen each other in years; these gals probably see each other once a week, minimum. And they definitely have a group text.

Of course, we’re still allowed to be happy whenever this foursome pals around. From a nostalgic point of view, it’s actually super exciting four people from such a beloved kids’ movie franchise are so close. Seeing them together is like reliving your childhood over and over. Their sisterhood is real, people.

Want proof? Look no further than Lively’s latest Instagram. The Gossip Girl vet uploaded a picture of herself, Tamblyn, and Bledel lovin’ on each other. Unfortunately, it looks like Ferrera couldn’t make this hang-out, so Lively did the next best thing: She edited her into the pic.

You know your friends are loyal when they literally draw you into pics because they miss you.

So does this Instagram mean a third Sisterhood movie is on the horizon? Nothing’s confirmed, but the women have each expressed interest in returning to the franchise. “There’s a strong chance there might be a third,” Lively told People. “The four of us are still best friends. To be able to create something together again has always been a dream of ours.”

Ours, too.
