Kim Kardashian Says Selfies Are Over, So I Guess the Internet's Canceled


Let me take you back to a simpler time: 2015. A time when we didn’t have the threat of nuclear war with North Korea, Fuller House didn’t exist, and Kim Kardashian was all about selfies. That last one is particularly important. Kim loved selfies back then—well, she loved them before that, too. This is a woman who, when faced with the prospect of her sister going to jail, took photos of herself. A woman who announced to the world she’s voting for Hillary Clinton via selfie. A woman who didn’t let an elephant’s rogue trunk get in the way of the perfect photo. She quite literally published a 448-page book about selfies. I’m not kidding. 448 pages. Of just selfies. Called Selfish.

And now that same woman is denouncing the art form she commodified. Yes, my friends, Kim Kardashian just announced that selfies are o-v-e-r. If that’s not a sign the world is up in flames, I don’t know what is. We now live in an era where, if Khloé goes to jail, Kim would be a supportive sister. What fresh hell is this?

Kim dropped this bombshell while playing a game of “Would You Rather?” with, ironically, Khloé. When Khloé asked Kim to choose between never posting a selfie again or never Snapchatting again, she (blasphemously) picked the former.

“I would rather never be able to post a selfie again. Take a selfie,” Kim, who once went out of her way to vogue behind a stranger’s selfie, said. “I kinda feel like selfies are kind of a few years ago.”

A few years ago? Then what is now, Kim? How are we supposed to express our love for Fit Tea, large salads, and Balmain’s siiiiiick new collection in 2017?

Kim’s Instagram profile has the answer. True to her sacrilegious words, she hasn’t posted a selfie in a while. Her immediate feed is just a bunch of well-staged photos taken by other people. So is that what’s now? Asking someone to take our Instagram photos? Hiring a Jonathan Cheban clone to follow us around everywhere (the grocery store, the club, Kylie’s Lip Kit factory), feverishly take photos of us, and then picking the best ones? I now have to bring other people into my Valencia-tinted orbit? Actually, wait, I’m sure the Valencia Instagram filter is “kind of a few years ago,” too.

It’s official, people: The Internet is canceled. This GIF is a lie.

Khloé Kardashian Has Some Strong Words About Those 'Baby Bump' Comments


It’s not long ago that a holy trinity of alleged Kardashian-Jenner baby news descended upon us: Kim Kardashian was rumored to be expecting a third child via surrogate; Kylie Jenner was apparently pregnant, which almost broke the Internet; and Khloé Kardashian also had her turn at bat with pregnancy gossip. Although Kylie’s kept mum (as is her every right), Kim since confirmed that she’s expecting via surrogate. As of Friday, Khloé has now also weighed in on the bun-in-the-oven rumors, thanks to a little kerfuffle whipped up by an Instagram pic she posted Thursday. The image in question, which is promoting her Good American line, has her resting an arm over her waistline (you can see where this is going, no?) and wearing a short, tight faux-leather miniskirt.

It was pretty much off to the races with the commenters, who were eking out a “baby bump” (their words, not ours) from the image and commenting on what is apparently strategic arm placement versus something not-awkward to do with your hand during a photoshoot. (Hands! What to do with them?)

Khloé, who’d also posted the pic on Twitter, getting much the same response, took the commenters to task with a lil’ lesson about something called ~ fashun ~. Twitter user @Khlomoney98 screen-grabbed it for posterity: “this is a peplum shirt,” Khloé wrote. “It flairs [sic] out at the bottom. It’s just the way the shirt is designed. In some of the next pictures coming up from the SAME shoot, I’m in a crop top. Showing a lot of skin…”

Of course, we don’t know when the shoot happened—it could have been months ago!—but we also don’t know if Khloé is pregnant. Or if she’s not. And that’s OK. Because she will tell us if and when she wants to, or not tell us because there’s nothing to tell. In the meantime, we’ll just be doing our best to keep up with the rest of the family. And that, frankly, is a lot.

Watching Kim Kardashian Cry About Feeling Unsafe on Vacation Is Heartbreaking


Roughly one year ago, Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in her hotel room while visiting Paris. It’s an incident she’s since been quite open about—both in interviews and on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. From her comments, it’s clear her life was irrevocably changed by the robbery. She’s now not as public on social media, she doesn’t post as many updates in real time, and she’s beefed up her security immensely. In fact, Kardashian said on the show she can’t sleep at night now unless a handful of security guards are outside her house.

Even still, Kardashian has anxiety about her safety, which is totally understandable. We see an example of this uneasiness unfold in the next episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. While on vacation in Mexico, Kardashian had an anxiety attack about feeling unsafe in the villa she was staying—and the cameras captured the entire thing.

“I just have anxiety. Are you sure it’s safe here? ” Kardashian says to Joe Francis, who owns the villa where she’s staying, on the phone. “Why did I come, you know?” She’s crying pretty intensely in this scene, too.

“Ever since Paris, I go through this worst-case scenario mode in my head,” she says in a voiceover interview. “I was so excited to come on this trip, and I had no idea I was going to end up feeling this way. But it hit me right as we were getting off the plane that all these people at the airport are ‘gonna see 17 or 18 girls with all of our Chanel bags and Louis Vuitton this. It just hit me, like, we’re the biggest target ever.”

The cure for Kardashian’s paranoia is unclear. What happened to her is traumatizing and terrifying. Thankfully, she has a supportive family who’s helping her cope. We hope she can find peace of mind soon, though. No one should ever feel unsafe while on vacation—or anywhere, for that matter.

Did Kim Kardashian Confirm Khloe and Kylie's Pregnancies on Instagram Weeks Ago?


They say good things come in threes, although whoever invented that line probably wasn’t referring to reality stars. Still, we’re positive that one of the three Kardashian-Jenner pregnancy rumors is, indeed, fact. Kim and Kanye West will be having a third baby via surrogate, but Khloe and Kylie’s reported pregnancies have yet to be officially confirmed by the women themselves. There have been a few hints though. We’re not talking about any physical evidence—their bodies are not here for you to scrutinize—but rather a sneaky Instagram pic Kim posted that may reveal all three sisters are pregnant at the same time.

On September 3, the 36-year-old posted a photo of herself wit Kylie and Khloe by the pool. Innocent enough, yes, except for the caption that reads, “The 3 of us…”

Kind of telling, no?

Of course, it could be mean absolutely nothing—the Kardashian-Jenner sisters post photos of themselves with each other almost daily. But the caption is strangely cryptic. Leading us to wonder if Kim—who’s been vocal about clapping back to a bunch of uninformed reports—originally confirmed it all.

If the family is dropping clues, it feels like we’re following some sort of trail of breadcrumbs until we finally find out the truth. Until then, we’ll wait patiently, refreshing out Instagram feeds every few minutes for the next hint.

Kris Jenner Says 'It's a Little Too Early' to Start Thinking About a Kardashian Kids Spinoff

With so many new Kardashian/Jenners on their way into the world, it was only a matter of time before someone asked the question on all our reality-show-loving minds. Variety recently spoke to Kris Jenner about whether or not she’d try to do a Keeping Up With the Kardashians about the next Kardashian generation—her grandkids (both unborn and not)—and she didn’t say yes…but she also didn’t say no.

“I think that’s kind of pushing the envelope,” said Kris. “I think it’s a little too early to start thinking about them. They’re amazing and when they’re around they are in the show, but I think it’s a little too early for them to have any kind of spinoff.” True, the six kids born since the show started are all still in their single-digit years and many more are still on the way. But when talking about spinoffs in general, Kris said, “There’s always a spinoff,” so, maybe?

Kardashians: The Next Generation might sound a little far-fetched right now, but think about it: The oldest grandchild, Kourtney’s son Mason, is eight. Kylie, the youngest of the original crew, was nine when KUWTK began filming. And most of the grandkids have made appearances on the show already.

And while the babies themselves don’t generate much drama, the having of the babies is always a major storyline. With Kylie and Khloé both reportedly expecting their first children and Kim and Kanye due to welcome a third via surrogate soon, the babies will likely dominate any upcoming Kardashian press. In fact, a year from now, Kendall will be the only Kardashian/Jenner who isn’t a parent. (Uh, unless all the reports are wrong—Kim, what is happening?!)

Of course, there will be no need to reboot the series if it never stops airing in its original form, which, honestly, sounds likely. KUWTK‘s fourteenth season will premiere on Sunday, October 1, at 9 p.m. ET on the E! network.

Kim Kardashian Just Confirmed She's Having a Baby Via Surrogate


It’s official: Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are expecting a third child via surrogate.

Kardashian essentially confirmed this news in a just-released promo for Keeping Up With the Kardashians season 14. “What happens every time I say, ‘Guess what?'” Kim asks her sister, Khloé, via FaceTime in the promo.

“You’re pregnant…or the person’s pregnant,” Khloé’s says in response, presumably talking about Kim and Kanye’s surrogate.

And that’s when the selfie maverick herself confirms it: “We’re having a baby,” she says, before the promo abruptly ends. A classic Kardashian tease!

This is the first Kardashian-Jenner baby rumor the family has confirmed. There are reports swirling around right now that both Kylie Jenner and Khloé are pregnant with their first children. The predominant theory dominating the Internet is that the sisters will address these stories on the premiere of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which is this Sunday (October 1) at 9 P.M. EST on E!

Kim has been open about her fertility struggles on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. She suffered from placenta accreta after her second pregnancy, a condition where the placenta and uterine wall bind too tightly.

“My doctor had to stick his entire arm in me and detach the placenta with his hand, scraping it away from my uterus with his fingernails,” Kim wrote in her blog about the condition. “My mom was crying; she had never seen anything like this before. My delivery was fairly easy, but then going through that—it was the most painful experience of my life! They gave me a second epidural but we were racing against time, so I just had to deal.”

On an episode of the show, Kim told her friend Jonathan Cheban, “I can’t carry anymore kids…it’s the worst. It’s not going to be happy for me…I had a full break down…I give up.”

But we’re happy she didn’t give up on her desire to expand her family. Congrats to Kim and Kanye!
