Hallmark Is Premiering 2 New Christmas Movies in July, Because Why Not?


Hallmark is debuting a whopping 40 new holiday movies in 2019, and you won’t have to wait long to watch a few of them. According to Entertainment Weekly, the network is releasing two of those new movies in—wait for it—July.

The first one, titled Christmas Camp, comes specifically from the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel. Here’s the official synopsis, courtesy of Hallmark’s website: “To get a promotion, Hayley, an advertising executive who specializes in social media, must land a toy company that is all about traditional Christmas as an account.” It stars Lily Anne Harrison, Bobby Campo, and Ben Gavin and is set to premiere July 7 at 9 P.M. ET.

A second film is coming the following week on the original Hallmark channel: A Merry Christmas Match, starring Ashley Newbrough and Kyle Dean Massey. This one, per EW, centers on a woman (Newbrough) whose annual tradition of directing a Christmas pageant in tribute to her later father is disrupted by a mystery man (Massey). Intrigued? Feeling festive? Me too! I’m fully prepared to decorate my pool chair with ornaments.

There’s an actual reason why Christmas is coming early this year. Hallmark Movies & Mysteries is running its “Gold Crown Christmas” campaign from June 28 to July 14, while Hallmark has a “Keepsake Christmas” special going from July 12 to July 27. The brand has a history of airing Christmas movies in July as a ramp-up to its holiday slate, but last year’s lineup didn’t include any new additions. This year, we have two. It’s a Christmas miracle!

Hallmark’s 2019 holiday season is shaping up to be one of its most star-studded. Network favorites like Lacey Chabert and Candace Cameron Bure are set to appear in new Christmas movies, as is musical theater queen Kristen Chenoweth. Does this mean we’re getting a Wicked-inspired holiday flick? Fingers crossed.

Either way, catch me watching every single one of these movies—starting with the two airing in July. Hand me the SPF and a Santa hat.

The 2018 Kardashian Christmas Party Was More Over-the-Top Kardashian Than Ever


For some people, the exciting part of Christmas morning is unwrapping presents from Santa. For me, it’s waking up and voraciously scrolling through Instagram to see what the Kardashian-Jenners got up to at their annual Christmas party, held the night before the holiday on Christmas Eve. And let me tell you: Even though last year’s party set the bar high, 2018’s over-the-top get-together did not disappoint.

The annual event was held at Kim Kardashian and Kanye West‘s house in Calabasas. Although the weather in Southern California on December 24 was—as usual—in the mid-60s, it wound up being a white Christmas anyway: The Kardashian-Wests hired actual snow machines to turn their California backyard into what looked like a Colorado ski resort—complete with pine trees and a bunny hill.

The “igloo” where the party took place was decorated like Whoville, with all-white, Seuss-inspired decor and a lighted, mirrored floor. They also had a confectioner whipping up candy sculptures for the little ones. (Saint got a lollipop shaped like a dragon, and I, a 27-year-old woman, was deeply jealous.)

And in case the DIY ski slopes and decorations weren’t enough to keep guests entertained, they also had Mr. Christmas himself, John Legend, performing at the party (unfortunately, there is no audio of his heavenly pipes).

And yes, the outfits were just as lit as the rest of the party: Khloé Kardashian wore a two-piece snow princess outfit that she matched with her daughter, True’s, and Kylie Jenner did the same thing with baby Stormi, both wearing head-to-toe silver sequins. Kendall Jenner wore a lime green floor-length gown, while Kourtney Kardashian stunned in green velvet. And Kim, always one for a theme, matched her look to the decor in head-to-toe white.

As if it couldn’t get more extra, Jennifer Lopez was also there to celebrate the holiday with her pals the Kardashian-Wests.

And, in what can only be described as “a Christmas miracle” and the best gift I’ve ever received, Paris Hilton was in attendance: It looks like she and Kim (Kim being her former closet organizer) are now BFFs. They buddied up on Kim’s Instagram stories, and then went sledding together down Kim’s man-made mountain. Be still, my early ’00s heart.

Kourtney and Kendall also took turns sledding down the hill in their black-tie gowns, although Kendall’s ride ended in a bit of a tumble.

Seriously, though: What do I have to do to get invited to this thing next year?

Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle Wear Coordinating Crimson and Navy for Christmas Day Church Service


Now that we’ve more or less seen the photographic evidence that Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton‘s rumored feud has been put to bed (look at all of these pics of them smiling together!), we can focus on what’s truly important about the royals’ Christmas celebration: their outfits. We kid, we kid—but seriously, the two duchesses really outdid themselves this year.

The pair attended the traditional Christmas morning church service near the queen’s Sandringham estate in Norfolk alongside their husbands, Prince William and Prince Harry, as well as the Queen and Prince Charles. Not only did they look super-chic in their individual looks, but their outfits were so well-coordinated it was as if they’d planned it.

Kate wore head-to-toe reds, with everything from her hat down to her shoes showing off the shade. She paired her crimson ’40s-style coat—reportedly custom-made by one of her favorite designers, Catherine Walker—with a bordeaux Bayswater clutch by Mulberry, another favorite piece of hers (she also has it in two other colors).

Completing the look? Bordeaux Gianvito Rossi heels and finished the look with a vintage-y “halo headband” by milliner Jane Taylor that encircled her loosely curled hair. Here it is from the side and back:

Her whole Christmas outfit almost identical to the forest green look she wore for this November’s Remembrance Day—down to a similar hair accessory and, yep, Catherine Walker coat.

Meghan also opted for a monochromatic outfit, pairing a navy sheath dress with a Victoria Beckham coat and purse, as well as an ombré-feathered fascinator in the same classic shade of blue. She finished off her festive look with boots, also by Beckham, and her signature low bun.

This is Meghan’s second Christmas with the royals, but her first as an official member of the family. Last year, she went for a designer-heavy look that consisted of a wide-collar Sentaler coat, a Chloé bag, a Philip Treacy fascinator-ish hat, plus suede Stuart Weitzman boots.

We’ll consider this all the royal inspiration we need to experiment with monochrome and shade-mixing. After all, it doesn’t get much more festive outfit-wise than these two duchesses’ looks.

Here's How Celebrities Celebrated Christmas 2018


No matter what’s going on in the world—which, in 2018, needs no preamble—you can always count on celebrities for a feel-good distraction. That’s definitely the case during the holiday season, when celebrity holiday parties and presents are all over Instagram.

This year, Hollywood is back at it with more adorable, heartwarming, and outright festive holiday posts on social media. The Kardashian-Jenner family came out with an adorable Christmas card. Reese Witherspoon posted proudly about her fans’ “Wreath Witherspoons” (it’s a thing!). Mindy Kaling and her daughter put on matching pajamas to wait for Santa. There’s no shortage of wintertime #content: Every time you log into Instagram, another celebrity is spreading holiday cheer.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas Are Spending Christmas With Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas


Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are living up their newlywed life in London right now, but they’re not alone: Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are with them, too. Over the weekend, the four were spotted out and about on the town on double dates, first heading to a dinner in Covent Garden on Saturday night, followed by a late lunch at a posh sushi restaurant in Mayfair on Sunday.

Given that we’re one day away from Christmas right now, we had a feeling the four might be spending the holiday together—especially since it seems like Chopra and Turner have a pretty close relationship—and it appears that our suspicions have been confirmed. Chopra posted an Instagram Sunday morning of herself in the back of a car, arms slung around the Jonas bros. “Brothers in (my) arms ?.. always and forever #christmaseve,” she captioned it.

She also posted a cute pic of the whole extended family on Sunday, including the Jonas matriarch and patriarch, as well as her mom, Madhu, and younger Jonas brother Frankie. (It appears to be from the evening before, as Chopra wore the all-white look to lunch that day—though we never hate on a good re-wear.)

Newly hitched Nick, ever one for a little #sponcon, also confirmed it in a TikTok-sponsored Instagram on Sunday, in which he wore a Santa hat filter and exercised his eyebrows: “When you’re just that excited to be spending Christmas with your beautiful wife and family ❤️ @tiktok #tiktok #christmas #mood #ad”

We’re sure there will be more Christmas pics to come from this bunch, and we’ll keep this post updated as they roll in.

The Kardashian-Jenner Christmas Card Is Here, and It's Too Cute For Words


Rumors that the Kardashian-Jenners are skipping their Christmas card in 2018 can be put to rest: The annual family photo has arrived, and it’s adorable.

Khloé Kardashian surprised fans on Christmas Eve morning (December 24) with an Instagram post debuting the 2018 Kardashian-Jenner Christmas card. In the sweet, family-centric photo, Khloé, Kourtney, Kylie, and Kim are dressed in head-to-toe white and surrounded by their kids.

“We all wish you love and harmony,” Kourtney said in her post. “So far this is by far my most favorite of any Christmas ✞ I have all I could ever want ✞ FAMILY ✞.” Take a look at the family photo, below.

Khloé was the first of the family to share the photo, but her siblings soon followed with their own posts and holiday messages. Kim Kardashian West explained how the photo came together in her post. “This year we waited until the last minute to do a card,” she said. “Schedules we’re [sic] changing, my husband was in and out of town. But The day of this card last minute realized we were all together so we had all of our kids come meet us.”

Noticeably missing from the crew is Kendall Jenner—but Kim explained why her sibling couldn’t make the final photo: “Kendall and my mom rushed to a meeting after this shoot so this is what we have! As many of us as possible!”

Missing sisters aside, the final product is too cute for words. Matriarch Kris Jenner also shared the card with a touching message: “This year’s Christmas Card is one of my favorites!” she said. “My beautiful girls and my precious grandkids, who bring me so much joy!!”

Although the family waited until Christmas Eve to reveal the card, it wasn’t a total surprise that the tradition would continue. On December 21, Khloé tweeted to a fan that a Christmas card would be coming “very shortly.”

The Kardashian-Jenner clan has taken epic family Christmas photos for years—but the tradition almost ended with 2017’s card. As recently as December 4, Kim Kardashian West had told E! News that the family would forgo its annual holiday shot. (Fans will recall that Kourtney and Kim had a tense fight on the set of last year’s photo.) “I have to say, in thanks to last year’s Christmas card, that really did just f—k us over,” she said. “That was so dramatic.”

Looks like the drama was put aside to festive results—a Christmas miracle indeed.
