Beyoncé, Hillary Clinton, and Serena Williams Tree Toppers Now Exist, So Christmas Is Saved


Beyoncé owns land at the top. It’s her home. And I’m not talking about anything specific when I say “the top.” I just mean “the top”—of the charts, of the fashion world, the Super Bowl, the Grammys…you name it. Queen Bey’s natural place is on a diamond-encrusted perch, overlooking her kingdom of fans and followers. The same goes for Hillary Clinton and Serena Williams, too. These three women are so successful, famous, and revered that it’s almost too overwhelming putting their names in one sentence. The shine is just too bright.

So it’s only natural they be at the top of your Christmas trees this year—literally. A brilliant U.K-based nonprofit organization named Women to Look Up To decided to add a twist to the normal star and angel Christmas tree-toppers. Now you can decorate your tree with actual stars and IRL angels. And thus Beyoncé, Clinton, and Williams toppers were born. They sell for about $107 each, and Women to Look Up To reinvests all of its profits into “furthering female equality,” so your money’s going to a worthwhile cause. Plus, this means Beyoncé will be on top of your Christmas tree! Name something more exciting than that.

Melania Trump Wants to Spend Christmas on a 'Deserted Island' and Twitter Is Cracking Up


For each of the president’s assertions that Melania Trump is, in fact, perfectly happy to be living in the White House and serving as First Lady, there’s a curious interview answer or “accidentally” favorited tweet from the FLOTUS herself that seem to prove otherwise. Most recently, while visiting the Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, Melania answered holiday-themed questions from kids, and one of her answers, in particular, has revived the #FreeMelania movement, leaving many worried about Melania’s happiness. And, of course, it set up plenty of jokes on Twitter.

In a video captured by NBC News, 10-year-old Andy asks Trump where in the world she would most like to spend the holidays. “I would spend my holidays on a deserted island, a tropical island, with my family,” she replies with a laugh.

Twitter users immediately pounced on the video. Some poked fun at Trump’s seemingly only adding the part about her family as an afterthought. “‘Mrs. trump what do you want for chris the MOST’ ‘a coma….…. with uh, my family,'” one person wrote. Others perceived the answer as proof that Trump is extremely unsatisfied with her current situation. “This isn’t an answer. This is her escape plan,” one such Twitter user wrote. Most Twitter jokers, however, quipped that they, too, would very much like for the Trump family to retreat to a faraway deserted island. “Melania Trump wants to spend the holidays on a deserted island. Can she take her husband with her? And leave him there forever?” one tweeted.

Trump first seemingly revealed that she was less than pleased with being the FLOTUS to Donald Trump‘s POTUS earlier this year, when the official @MelaniaTrump Twitter account liked a tweet—her second-ever like—that read “Seems the only #Wall @realDonaldTrump’s built is the one between him and @FLOTUS #Melania #Trump” alongside a GIF of Trump frowning as soon as her husband looked away. The tweet has since been unliked, and a day later, Melania’s communications director Stephanie Grisham told People that the First Lady was not aware of the fave.

Last month, the president attempted to put the rumors of his wife’s unhappiness to rest. “Melania, our great and very hard working First Lady, who truly loves what she is doing, always thought that ‘if you run, you will win.’ She would tell everyone that, ‘no doubt, he will win.’ I also felt I would win (or I would not have run) – and Country is doing great!” Donald Trump tweeted on November 28, likely in response to a Vanity Fair article published earlier that week claiming that Melania “didn’t want this come hell or high water.”

The truth, it seems, is in the tweets—but whose tweets, exactly?

Meghan Markle Is Breaking Royal Protocol by Spending Christmas With Prince Harry


One of the most charming anecdotes to come out of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s first sit-down interview last week was about the Queen’s band of corgis. According to Prince Harry, the dogs are typically temperamental and take a while to warm up to new humans; however, they took an instant liking to Markle, cuddling up on her leg as she sat down with the Queen for tea. Dogs are pretty excellent judges of character, TBH, so it’s no wonder Markle was fully and warmly embraced by the Royal Family in such a short period of time. When you have the corgis’ seal of approval, everything else is a piece of cake.

Including scoring an invitation to the Queen’s Christmas party. According to Us Weekly, the annual gathering has historically been “spouses only,” but the Queen bent the rules for Markle. “Attending as a fiancé is a first for the family,” a source tells the magazine. “Given that Meghan doesn’t have family in the U.K., it’s only right that she spends Christmas with Harry and his.”

Just imagine: Had the Queen not granted permission for Markle to attend, she would’ve spent her first Christmas in the U.K. alone. What would she have done? Watched old Suits reruns? Done a private reenactment of her Hallmark movie Sparks Fly? Royal protocol, man. It gets in the way of everything!

“To be able to meet [the Queen] through [Prince Harry’s] lens, not just with his honor and respect for her as the monarch, but the love that he has for her as his grandmother, all of those layers have been so important for me,” Markle said in her sit-down interview last week. “When I met her, I had such a deep understanding and, of course, incredible respect for being able to have that time with her.”

Kim Kardashian Has Been Revealing the 2017 Kardashian-Jenner Christmas Card in Pieces


The Kardashian-Jenner family has a long and beloved history of sharing totally bonkers Christmas cards with their friends, family, and, most importantly, fans. And though the mega-famous blended bunch skipped out on sending a 2016 holiday card, it seems they are coming back in a big way for 2017. You see, for the last four days Kim Kardashian has been slowly rolling out bits and pieces of the family’s holiday greeting card on her social media channels.

Kim, who has dubbed the series “25 Days of Christmas,” shared the first piece of the Kardashian-Jenner puzzle on December 1. She also revealed that the images were all taken by photographer Eli Russell Linnetz. (You can see the photos on his website here.) The first shot is an adorable candid of baby Saint as he plays amongst a huge pile of Christmas presents next to an undecorated Christmas tree. Take a look:

Then, on December 2, Kim shared a portion of a photo that features her daughter, North West. In the image there are also two female torsos, one of which looks to be Kim—though with the Kardashian-Jenner fam, you never know.

And on December 3, Kim continued with the Christmas card teasers by showcasing an image of Kourtney’s son, Reign Aston Disick.

But it’s the photograph Kim shared on December 4 that has everyone talking. This one shows Kim and her daughter, North, only this time in a different position. Is it an outtake? Is there something crazy going on in this photo that we can’t even predict? Only time will tell.

One thing we do know: this year’s card is about the family’s women and children. While making an appearance on The Late Late Show, Kim told James Corden about the holiday card aesthetic. “This year’s Christmas card is shot really casually,” she said. “We’re kind of in jeans and T-shirts vibes. Really cute, all the kids, it was hard to put together.” She additionally gave a little hint as to who would actually make an appearance in this year’s card saying, “It’s women and children this year, so my grandma was last in it in 1989, that was the last time she was in our Christmas card with all of her four grandkids. So, she was invited back in this year.”

While the wait for the full shoot is hard, it’s fitting for the family—especially when you consider the fan theory that Kourtney and Kylie will announce their (alleged) pregnancies via the image. It is mother-child themed, after all… Luckily, you’ll only have to wait 21 more days for the full image to find out.

Why Kylie Jenner Is Missing in This 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' Christmas Special Photo


The Kardashian-Jenner family seems completely unfazed by the fact literally everyone’s obsessed with Kylie Jenner and Khloé Kardashian’s reported pregnancies. Instead of confirming—or denying—these rumors, the fam is acting pretty business as usual, tweeting and posting about their other projects that are normally cool but no one cares about now because Kylie and Khloé might be pregnant. Like, sorry, Kendall, but people can’t enjoy the quizzes on your app when all they can think about is you possibly becoming an aunt.

They also can’t enjoy this delightful photo mama Kris posted of the family filming their Keeping Up With the Kardashians Christmas special (see it below). Instead, they can only focus on why Kylie isn’t in the photo. What gives? Where the hell is Kylie? Was she caught up posting Travis Scott lip-sync videos to her Snapchat? Re-watching archived footage of her thinking a baby pig is a chicken? Reupholstering every Kylie Lip Kit factory? This is a case for the FBI.

Actually, not really. Kylie was there—she just wasn’t in the photo. According to a new report from People magazine, Kylie simply wanted to sit out from the ice-skating portion of the special, which is what the family’s doing in the pic Kris posted. (Yeah, apparently the Kardashian-Jenners ice-skate with Nancy Kerrigan in this special. If that’s not the most extra thing ever.)

“They taped a Christmas special at Kris’ house. Kylie was there, but didn’t ice skate. She kept in the background, but seemed great,” a source told the magazine. “Khloé took it easy as well. It was a scheduled taping.”

Hmmm, this would make sense if—and that’s a big if—Kylie and Khloé are pregnant. Of course, we won’t know that for sure until the sisters confirm it themselves—which, at this rate, might not ever happen. At least we can put this Christmas mystery to bed, though. The holidays are saved.

Christmas Eve is just a week away, and many are scrambling to find the perfect last minute gift or special present for someone special. The year end holidays area time for joy and for giving, spending time with friends and family and enjoying all the social activities that are planned. Are you already finished with your shopping or are you still waiting to star with only a week left to go? The closer it gets to the holidays the bigger the crowds are, and the longer the lines can be. Fort McMurray has the holiday spirit, that is obvious, but is your Christmas to do list all checked off or do you still have a way to go before you are finished?

During the Christmas holiday it is better to put the focus on relationships and caring, with less emphasis on material things that so not matter nearly as much. With parties to attend, gifts to wrap, holiday meals to plan, and other details to be worked out and planned for this time of year can be hectic and stressful. Make sure that you take care of yourself and your loved ones during the season, in fact you should put this on your checklist so that it is easy to remember. The most important part of the Fort McMurray holidays is the people that you spend it with, not the gifts that you give and receive.
