Jessica Alba Wore a $625 Ulla Johnson Dress With $36 BaubleBar Earrings

Jessica Alba is traveling through Europe with Gabrielle Union, promoting their new show, L.A.’s Finest. (Sure, it’s work for them—but doesn’t a Euro trip with those two sound fun?) Both have been serving looks left and right, as two incredibly stylish actresses do when they’re on a press tour. But of all their outfits, there’s one that stands out, thanks to the price tag.

While in Croatia, Alba shared sun-drenched shot of herself wearing a summery LBD with a pair of dangling seashell earrings. Seasonally, it was on point. The best part, though? The earrings are seriously affordable.

Alba procured her seashell accessory, like many others looking for affordable takes on the trends we can’t help but love, from BaubleBar. The earrings go for the easy price of $36.

Her dress, meanwhile, was Ulla Johnson, and retails for $625.

Worn together, they’re a master class in high-low styling—much like how Julia Roberts paired a custom Salvatore Ferragamo suit with a $44 rainbow ring, also from BaubleBar.

Alba’s the latest to endorse fashion’s favorite nostalgic accessory trend for 2019: all-shell-everything. Gigi Hadid wore shell jewelry to Coachella.

Vanessa Hudgens wore it on a date.

Countless bloggers have worn them in far-flung locations.

It’s as if every purchase of a shell accessory—be it an earring, necklace, or anklet—comes with a dose of wanderlust, free of charge. You might not be able to buy the vacation, but you sure can put on a pair of seashell hoops with your favorite sundress and pretend like you’re sipping spritzes on the Mediterranean.

Jessica Alba and Jessica Biel Once Modeled for Limited Too Together

There’s nothing more satisfying than seeing photos of celebrities together before they were famous: the Mickey Mouse Club Class of 1993 (which included Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, and Ryan Gosling), Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts’ high school pictures… There’s just something about all that star-power interacting pre-fame that feels cosmic and weird—and, when it’s documented for posterity, you just can’t look away.

Which is why this Limited Too ad from the ’90s that Jessica Alba shared to Instagram Thursday (January 25) is so fascinating. First of all, booking a Limited Too campaign was pretty much every pre-teen’s dream during that era, so let that sink in. Then, there’s the fact that Alba is photographed wearing some bold Limited Too-branded ski wear… alongside fellow now-famous-person Jessica Biel.

Yes, before they became blockbuster movie stars and lifestyle icons, Alba and Biel were just two tweens who modeled for Limited Too catalogue together. “#Tbt this was one of my only ‘real’ modeling jobs,” she captioned the pictures. (The three additional models who appear alongside them are unidentified.) “I met ? @jessicabiel , I think I was 12 or 13… maybe 14? It was for Limited Too which was a kids line connected to The Limited. #90’s ?????”

Check out the instantly-iconic snap for yourself, below:

Just imagine what these two talked about on set. Maybe Biel has, like, psychic powers and told Alba, “Hey, in 13 years, you’re going to be offered a movie called Good Luck Chuck with Dane Cook—turn it down.” And maybe Alba replied with, “Oh yeah? Well, you’re going to marry one of the boys from the Mickey Mouse Club.”

Looking back, you probably came across a bunch of your now-favorites in the catalogs you flipped through after school: Jennifer Lawrence famously attempted modeling for Abercrombie & Fitch, Gigi Hadid posed for Guess Kids, and Lindsay Lohan booked jobs with Calvin Klein and Caravan.

Ahhh, the ’90s. What a time to have been alive.

Jessica Alba Welcomes Her Third Child, Hayes Alba Warren

Jessica Alba rang in 2018 in an incredibly special way: with another addition to her family.

On New Year’s Day, the actress and entrepreneur announced on Instagram that she and husband Cash Warren welcomed their third child—their first son—on December 31, 2017. The baby’s name, she revealed, is Hayes Alba Warren (his two sisters’ names also begin with Hs).

Alba posted a photo of Hayes on Instagram, along with a sweet message. “Best gift to ring in the New Year!! Cash and I feel so blessed. Haven and Honor are already obsessed with their new baby bro. ??? #familyof5,” she wrote.

Warren posted a sweet picture to his Instagram account, too, of him holding Hayes. He captioned it: “Hayes Alba Warren: You sure know how to ring in the new year! You showed up a few days early but we couldn’t be any happier. Your Mamma is the strongest woman I know … you’re so lucky to have her by your side. You have two amazing sisters who already adore you and I know you’ll be thankful to have them guide the way. On your first day of life, I promise to love you, to cherish you, and to provide you with a sandbox full of dreams to explore. Welcome to the family my sweet baby Hayes!”

Alba announced her pregnancy in July, with a Boomerang featuring daughters Honor and Haven, each holding a balloons in the shape of a”1″ and a “2,” respectively; their mom was holding one in the shape of a “3”. She explained in the caption: “@cash_warren and I are officially going to be outnumbered #babyonboard #herewegoagain ????#blessed?.”

Outnumbered Alba and Warren might be, but we bet the whole family is thrilled with this new addition to kick off the year. Congrats to the happy family!

Jessica Alba, Eva Longoria, and Other Celebs Speak Out on Latina Equal Pay Day

Today is Latina Women’s Equal Pay Day and celebrities like Jessica Alba and Eva Longoria are speaking out in hopes of raising awareness around the issue. According to the National Women’s Law Center, the wage gap for a Latina woman working full-time is typically 54 cents for every dollar white, non-Hispanic men make. That’s in stark comparison to the overall troubling wage gap of 80 cents to a man’s dollar that women make overall.

The date of November 2 was chosen for #LatinaEqualPay to illustrate the ten months extra a Latina woman would have to work to make the same amount as a white man.

Sara Ramirez, of “Grey’s Anatomy” fame, and “Blindspot” actress Audrey Esparza showed their support as well.

In an op-ed for Forbes, Longora lays out proactive steps she believes will help address the problem head-on—from representation in the decision-making processes in the workplace to really and truly supporting women in the workplace.

She concluded: “CEOs, executives, influencers and entrepreneurs: I’m talking to you. Take an honest look at the gender compensation parity in your company, and if there’s a gap, fix it. Not only is it the right thing to do, it’s proven that it makes business sense…Let’s demand more for Latinas. Because we’re worth the whole dollar.”
