The Trick Miranda Kerr Swears By for Super Shiny Hair


Since I was little, my mom used to say, “:et your little light shine.” That just meant shine your heart, your light, into the world. I feel like no matter who you are, when you do that, you’re the most beautiful.

Which women are inspiring you the most right now?

My grandmother because she’s the epitome of grace, has a generous spirit, and an infectious laugh.

If you could change one thing about beauty perceptions, what would that be?

Every single person has so much beauty inside of them, and when they feel confident within themselves and comfortable in their own skin, that beauty really can shine through. I just feel like that needs to be captured more in all areas, all shapes and sizes, all backgrounds. When someone’s comfortable in their own skin, they really radiate on the outside.

What’s your favorite way to take a moment for yourself?

I’ve practiced meditation for a long time, so I can just recenter and focus on my breath. Even if I’m in the middle of chaotic situations, I can kind of zone into my quiet place. Obviously it’s great when I can meditate in a quiet, calm place, but it’s not always possible.

How much time do you spend getting ready?

I’ve never timed it, but I have a theory that it takes me seven minutes to get ready from literally in my PJs to out the door. That doesn’t include my shower, though. Let’s say I’ve already done that and cleansed my face. It takes me seven minutes to do my skin-care routine, add some concealer, a little highlighter, and there you go! I’m pretty quick.

What’s your go-to perfume and why?

I don’t do perfumes. For the longest time I’ve been using essential oils, and I really love geranium, neroli, and sandalwood. A friend of mine made a mix for me, and that’s what I use. It’s all organic essential oils. I have a Heart Chakra Aromatherapy with Kora, which is rose otto and sandalwood as well, which is amazing. Even my nine-year-old, Flynn, uses the aromatherapy essential oil. He carries that in his bag at school, so whenever he’s feeling stressed or overwhelmed he puts a little bit of that aromatherapy on because it’s for your heart chakra.

Does Flynn want to try all of your products?

He wants to try everything all the time. If he sees friends who are using something, he’ll be like, “Is that organic? What are you using?” It’s pretty cute.

Jennifer Aniston Swears By This Gold Face-Sculpting Tool


Jennifer Aniston is pretty much the epitome of California cool. From her staple golden highlights to that fresh, glowing skin—she’s basically been beauty goals since we were first introduced to her back in the ’90s. So when she decides to reveal one of her secret skin care weapons, we pay attention.

In a new interview with InStyle, Aniston says that she’s a huge fan of Jillian Dempsey’s Gold Sculpting Bar, a skin care tool that helps serums and moisturizers penetrate deeper, as well as sculpt your cheekbones and jawline. “It feels so damn good to put oil on your face and just roll,” she explains.

Aniston says she also drinks a glass of celery juice every day (which pros have mixed thoughts about) and takes E3Live superfood supplements. But, of course, some of that glow is just her genetics: “My grandmother, at 98, had the most stunningly soft, gorgeous skin, and she would just put olive oil on her body.”

The actor also opened up about turning 50 in February. “Fifty was the first time I thought, ‘Well, that number,’ ” she said. “I don’t know what it is because I don’t feel any different. Things aren’t shutting down in any way. I feel physically incredible. So it’s weird that it’s all of a sudden getting telegraphed in a way that’s like, ‘You look amazing for your age.’ I think we need to establish some etiquette around that dialogue and verbiage.”

Aniston and her glowing skin will next be seen onscreen in Apple’s The Morning Show with Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell, where she plays a morning news host who is facing sexism and ageism. “The show gives you a behind-the-curtain peek at a lot of things—what it takes to pull off a morning show, the unique lifestyle of these anchors, the obsession with celebrity culture, and humanity in the midst of corruption,” she said. “Plus we’re addressing the ugly truths of how men have treated women in our society, particularly in the workplace, for all these years.”

Kendall Jenner Swears This Face-Washing Trick Makes Her Pores Smaller


“Oral beauty” might sound like marketing spin for Tom Haverford’s next H2Flow campaign, but dental hygiene brands are banking on it becoming the Next Big Thing in beauty. Where there was once only one trendy toothpaste brand (h/t to you, Marvis), a whole slew of new oral-care brands are emerging for the Glossier era.

Among them is Moon, a lifestyle “oral beauty” brand founded by Shaun Neff (the same guy behind Neff headwear) and created in partnership with Kendall Jenner. If Kendall Jenner, toothpaste ambassador, seems somewhat out of left field, it’s surprisingly not the first time she’s lent her expertise to the formulation of teeth-whitening products. Back in 2016, Jenner teamed up with Estée Lauder’s Estée Edit on a lip gloss made with blue undertones to make teeth appear whiter.

Moon picks up where Jenner left off with Esteé’s limited-run line. Everything is made, no shocker, for Instagram: the ingredients are vegan and paraben-free, the packaging is sleek and all-black, and its tagline reads #elevateyourroutine. “The oral care aesthetic is usually so bland and ugly in the supermarket aisles,” Neff tells Glamour. “Kendall says it the best, you want to keep this out on your counter and not hide it when your friends come over. That was the original idea with the design.”

We caught up with Jenner to talk more about toothpaste, her oral beauty routine, and to ask her some of our Big Beauty Questions.

Glamour: Why are white teeth important to you?

Kendall Jenner: People can tell a lot about you by your smile, and I think that your smile is really important. For me, specifically, I’ve always taken a lot of pride in oral beauty. You do it every morning and every night. So when Shaun came to me with the idea, it was almost a no-brainer, because it blends the health side of it and it makes it look so good on your shelf.

What does your ‘oral beauty’ routine consist of?

KJ: I brush, floss, and use mouthwash. I try to floss as much as I can, but I think my little floss sticks will help me do it more. And I take my whitening pen with me all over the place. I don’t use it every day, but I work a lot and travel a lot, so I use it when I feel like I need to. It’s usually in my bag.

Speaking of travel, since you’re on the go all the time, what city or country most influences your beauty?

KJ: Today my beauty look is a bit darker—especially with my eyes—but usually it’s light, fresh, and glowy. I take a lot of my inspiration from beaches and places like that. I’ve been to Greece a couple times and love that everyone is glowy and tan, just beautiful. And the south of France, too. I love beach life. Plus, I live in L.A., and we have Malibu.”

What’s one beauty rule you swear by?

KJ: I heard a long time ago that washing your face with cold water at night is really good because it closes your pores, so I try to wash my face with the coldest water possible. Weirdly, the water is always coldest in New York. I assume because it’s colder outside that the water just naturally comes out freezing. I love it. I don’t know about in the summertime, but definitely in the winter. It’s so cold I can barely even put my hands in it.
