It’s become somewhat of a Kardashian-Jenner tradition to throw some seriously over-the-top parties—who among us could ever forget Kylie Jenner‘s Stormi World? So, naturally, to celebrate North West‘s sixth birthday on Saturday (June 15), as well as Penelope Disick‘s upcoming seventh birthday on July 8, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian pulled out all the stops to give their daughters a bash they’re definitely going to remember. On Saturday, the sisters brought the game of Candy Land to life by throwing an incredible sweets-themed party.
Kim and Kourtney shared clips of the event on their Instagram Stories—and let’s just say the sugar crash must have been real when the party was all over. There were lollipops, sour ropes, M&Ms, gummi bears, gumballs, Pez, cupcakes, cake pops, and more. It’s unclear which of the Kardashian sisters’ homes the lavish party was held at, but whoever’s backyard it was held in was transformed into the Hasbro board game, complete with a rainbow walkway, candy-themed bounce house, and giant balloons.

Kim Kardashian is once again faced with defending her parenting decisions on the internet after posting family photos that featured her five-year-old daughter, North West, wearing red lipstick.
The photos of the Kardashian-West crew were from the family’s annual Christmas Eve party which, this year, featured snow machines and sledding. As with most things Kardashian, people online had a lot of opinions about why a little girl was wearing makeup at all. No stranger to mommy-shaming when it comes to her daughter’s beauty choices (like straightening her hair), Kardashian was quick to let everyone know exactly where she stood about her daughter’s look.
“A little too much! Makeup and posing! How old is she? And a lot of attitude,” one commenter wrote about North. “Famous or not it’s odd for a 5 year old to be wearing lipstick and makeup. Nice family pics tho,” said another.
Some Instagram commenters questioned why North wasn’t wearing children’s makeup. But as Glamour reported earlier this year, kids’ makeup is not regulated and so it actually may be better to let your children wear the grown-up versions which must adhere to stricter guidelines.
But others were absolutely here for it. “North is serving looks! That girl is going to take over one day ?,” one commented. Another called North a “future beauty guru.”
It turns out that prediction may be correct as Kardashian confirmed that not only did her daughter pick out that red lip all on her own, but that the shade will be coming soon to her KKW Beauty line. (That’s certainly a new way to announced a product launch!)
As someone who spent her childhood playing in her mom’s makeup, I say, let her have fun and get made up for a fun family party. And I must say, her taste is impeccable because that is a really good classic red and now I can’t wait to see the rest of the collection. Hopefully, North will earn some royalties.
A new T.V. spot in one of the country’s hottest Senate races aims to show voters that the guy tough enough to do the job is…the woman already doing it.
In her latest ad, North Dakota Sen. Heidi Heitkamp—who’s in a serious fight to hang on to her job in November’s election—makes her pitch while casually arm-wrestling a mountain of a man in a muscle shirt.
“Maybe this is how we should decide elections, because it couldn’t get much more ridiculous,” says the Democratic incumbent in the spot, which her campaign shared with Glamour ahead of its official launch.

Heidi Heitkamp for Senate ad
Heitkamp puts the verbal smackdown on her real-life opponent during the phony arm-wrestling match, telling viewers Republican Rep. Kevin Cramer wants them “to believe that I’m anti-veteran, pro-taxes, and against prosecuting illegal immigrants who commit crimes. Are you kidding me? That’s about as silly and fake as this T.V. ad,” she says.
“I approve this message because I’ve fought every day for North Dakota—and Kevin, I’m just getting warmed up,” Heitkamp closes before slamming the big guy’s arm down on the table.
“Here in North Dakota, we look each other in the eyes and tell the truth—that’s what I learned growing up in Mantador and that’s what I’ve always done as North Dakota’s senator,” Heitkamp told Glamour in an email via her campaign. “But Congressman Cramer apparently doesn’t share those values. I didn’t think it’d come to arm wrestling, but I’ll always fight tooth and nail for North Dakota.”
Republicans would love to replace Heitkamp with one of their own, giving them a stronger hold on the Senate. But recent polls show Heitkamp losing ground to Cramer in North Dakota, a state where Republican President Donald Trump got a whopping 63 percent of the vote to Democrat Hillary Clinton’s 27 percent in 2016.
The latest Cook Political Report analysis calls the race a toss-up in an election that’s seen as a referendum on not just the GOP, but the president himself. Trump endorsed Cramer—whose campaign includes promises to keep cutting taxes and regulations—months ago.
Just Thursday, Heitkamp, North Dakota’s former attorney general, came out against confirming Trump’s controversial Supreme Court nominee, Judge Brett Kavanaugh, potentially riling voters a month out from the November 6 midterms.
“If this were a political decision for me I certainly would be deciding the other way,” Heitkamp told local T.V. station WDAY of her choice to oppose Kavanaugh in a Senate vote that could come in just days.
“History will judge you, but most importantly you will judge yourself, and that is what I am saying: I can’t get up in the morning and look at the life experience I have had and say ‘yes’ to Judge Kavanaugh,” said Heitkamp, who did vote in favor of confirming Trump’s first Supreme Court nominee, Neil Gorsuch.
Cramer, by contrast, has called college professor Christine Blasey Ford’s allegation that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her in the 1980’s “even more absurd” than the harassment charges Anita Hill made against then-SCOTUS nominee Clarence Thomas.
“These are teenagers who evidently were drunk, according to her own statement,” Cramer was quoted as saying in a radio interview regarding Ford’s claim that Kavanaugh attacked her at a party when they were in high school. “They were drunk. Nothing evidently happened in it all, even by her own accusation. Again, it was supposedly an attempt or something that never went anywhere.”
In a separate T.V. appearance, Cramer also reportedly said even if Ford’s claim’s were true, the judge shouldn’t be out of consideration for a Supreme Court seat just because “he did something really bad 36 years ago.” The congressman did say, however, that he felt Kavanaugh should be disqualified if he lied about the incident under oath, “because that’s what he’s doing today, not 36 years ago.”
Team Heitkamp tells Glamour it’s spending six figures to put the deliberately campy arm-wrestling ad on statewide television and on the web. According to NBC News, the senator is also going to air with another spot that plays up her political independence in the wake of her announcement about opposing Kavanaugh.
Heitkamp’s latest spots joins the reel of ads and viral videos, some light-hearted, some personal and serious, put out by female candidates on both sides of the aisle in a cycle that’s seen a historic number of women nominated for Senate, the House, and governor.
However, she’s not the first woman contender to do battle on air with a male adversary: Sharice Davids, a Democratic lawyer running for Congress in Kansas, put out a clip this spring that showed her in the ring in a nod to her time as a pro MMA fighter.

It looks like Kim Kardashian and her daughter, North West, are borrowing some hair inspo from Ariana Grande—and the singer has noticed.
The mother-daughter pair stepped out on Saturday night wearing the same matching high ponytails that have become a part of Grande’s signature look. Stylist Chris Appleton—who works with both Kardashian and Grande—posted a series of photos of Kim and North to Instagram with captions like “90s pony Vibes ???” and “This look was lit.”
North paired her version of the pony with hair rings—not dissimilar to ones Grande’s worn in the past—while Kim enhanced her look with burgundy eyeshadow.

Grande apparently saw her stylist’s pics and cheekily commented on one of the shots, “I thought both of them were me.”
Speaking of, the singer has recently been experimenting with different hairstyles: In the course of the past few months, she’s shown off a low ponytail, a lavender dye job, and flowing blond hair. Eventually, however, she returned her hair to its rightful position on top of her head.
“my god going back to a high pony after a few days of not wearing a high pony is …….. a remarkable feeling,” she wrote on Twitter at the time. “i’m just ……. supposed to have a high pony u kno ? some things are just meant to be and this is jus one of those things.”
When a fan asked if her sky-high ponies ever hurt her head (because ponytail headaches are a thing, people!), she replied, “nah I can’t feel anymore the nerves in my head said fuck u a good year or two ago we’re good,” then followed up by saying, “ugh she’s up and she’s divine.”
Over the weekend, Kim Kardashian West’s daughter, North, made her runway modeling debut during the L.O.L. Surprise fashion show in Los Angeles. In case you’re not familiar, L.O.L. Surprise is a line of toys with cute, fashionable characters that is super popular with the under-10 set. The show’s creative direction was overseen by stylist and longtime Kardashian friend, Simone Harouche.
All of the kiddos walked the runway in one-of-a-kind outfits that mirrored those worn by the dolls in the collection. North was “Thrilla”—and she looked absolutely adorable.

“North is completely obsessed with L.O.L. Surprise already, so when we found out there was going to be an L.O.L. Surprise BIGGER Surprise Fashion show, she absolutely had to be involved,” Kim said. “She loves to dress up like her favorite characters, so it was so exciting for her to actually become a real-life L.O.L. doll.”

While it may have been her first time on the catwalk, five-year-old North is no stranger to modeling. She’s currently starring in the #MeAndMyPeekaboo Fendi campaign with her mom and her grandma, Kris Jenner. “The idea was to expand the concept of family, as it’s part of our history, and we wanted other families of women,” Venturini Fendi told WWD about the campaign. “In the case of the Kardashians, they are all three of them very strong women, with strong personalities. It’s an iconic family, who is known for its appearance, but we wanted to bring more of an intimate side to the table.”
And the modeling genes definitely seem to run in the family. Look at that turn!
Seriously, it’s hard to handle this level of cuteness.
North wasn’t the only celebrity offspring in the show. Busy Philipp’s daughters Birdie and Cricket were also “dolled” up for the occasion.

No word yet on whether any of the girls in the show have been booked for the upcoming Paris Fashion Week.
It’s no secret that the Kardashian-Jenners love Fendi: They wear the brand frequently, and even push around their babies in their logo-covered strollers. It seems like the Italian fashion houses loves the family right back, casting three generations of Kardashian women in its latest campaign.
Fendi released a series of ads celebrating the 10th anniversary of its classic Peekaboo bag, titled #MeAndMyPeekaboo. The latest installment stars Kim Kardashian West, Kris Jenner, and North West, lounging about in equestrian-chic outfits with, of course, Peekaboo bags. On July 10, Fendi will be releasing a short film starring the trio, with Kanye West‘s “Love Lockdown” serving as the soundtrack. (So many Kardashian layers!)

The first chapter of the #MeAndMyPeekaboo campaign centered around Silvia Venturini Fendi (the brand’s creative director for accessories, menswear, and kidswear) and her daughters, Delfina Delettrez Fendi and Leonetta Luciano Fendi. Other female relatives featured in this series include Clara and Esther McGregor (Ewan McGregor’s daughters); Jessica and Krystal Jung (both singers and actors); Hong Kong–based musician Joey Yung and her mother, Kam Fung; and photographer Gao Yuan with her daughter, musician Dou Jiayuan.
“The idea was to expand the concept of family, as it’s part of our history, and we wanted other families of women,” Venturini Fendi told WWD. “In the case of the Kardashians, they are all three of them very strong women, with strong personalities. It’s an iconic family, who is known for its appearance, but we wanted to bring more of an intimate side to the table.”

Fendi CEO Serge Brunschwig added: “We wanted to show the most genuine and authentic aspect that is behind the people we collaborate with, and the complicity between the women of the family. We have chosen to collaborate with family-related members that have been relevant in general, as well as known as a family, from the more controversial ones, who more and more express a courageous point of view and they have a vision, to more unexpected and unexplored ones.”
